It's so cool that you thank your plant after harvesting from it. I thought I was the only one who did that. I like to thank my plants every time I harvest from them. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it makes them produce more. I also love working in my garden. I'm subscribing!
I drink aloe very every day. I cut into it tiny crosshatched pieces with razor sharp knife with one side of skin still on then slice the aloe off into a glass. I add lemon, turmeric and ginger and a cane sugar reduction. Then I double the volume with water. It's so hydrating. I'd love to hear about more of your aloe recipes!
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my account password. I love any assistance you can give me!
@Sergio Jacoby i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Same- another silent viewer here 🌱 I'm from your marimo days! I still have mine🟢🟢🟢 Thanks for this aloe vera video! I have keratosis which needs hydration and exfoliation. Skincare, plants, cooking are my hobbies. Thanks for all your videos💚
I i’ll also liked how you thank the plants each time. They have energy & life too. Great advise on the natural preservatives. I wonder how long you can keep this for?
Hi Wendy I enjoyed the video so much it brought joy to my heart to see how you had alot of TLC for your plants you have a true green thumb your ❤️ and spirit is so pure thank you 🙌🏾
thanks for sharing! We have 115 degree heat in socal today, perfect to try out this scrub with our aloe from home with a some winter melon peels, a few lavender flower, oregano and sweet lemon(which I did not what to do with it at first).
Thank you, Wendi, I did not know to soak it. I have picked the aloe and saw the sap (I do not like the smell-oniony) so that will be great to get it out. Thanks again!
What a lovely individual you are . Love how you are totally surrounded and framed by green nature in an urban setting , so refreshing Wendi ;D and like myself you give thanks to each gifting from your plants : ) really enjoyed watching your beautiful video , nicely paced and genuine down to earth footage and content . Hi Wendi. Do you have a home in Las Vegas and California. I've been confused on this one. Loved this video. I remember you talking about using the loofah skins in face scrub when you were talking at the National Heirloom Expo in Santa Rosa last year. Speaking as someone quite older than you, you were so cute in the demonstration of preparing, tasting, and using the aloe.
Hey mama fellow Las Vegan...☺ I grow aloe as well and if you want lots of babies... put a momma in a small pot and you'll get plenty. They love being root bound. Love all your info babes!!
You can freeze aloe vera leaves too For times were you don’t use a whole leaf, and applied frozen to sunburn gives instant relief, so much more that straight off the plant 🙂
Gaynel: You can freeze it as is or with just spines removed or you can peel and freeze gel in portions, some blend it and freeze in ice cube trays. Tracy: I am not to sure but I have had it in the freezer for months at a time.
You know you can cut the leaf into thinner strips to make it easier to separate the skin from the good stuff! I’m surprised you still have all your fingers after watching you do just this 1.
OMG wendi, I was in such agony watching you peel that aloe vera, or as we say in #Trinidad "Aloes" you can actually peel like like a mango, cut it into 4" sections and pull the blade of the kife immediately below the green skin, on both sides, and voila! all the gel/flesh is qucikly in your hand without all that second cutting or spooning. you're welcome
