Brian was born in the Salt Lake valley and is a survivor of over 40 years in active addiction, coupled with 20 years of schizophrenia and other mental health diagnoses. Brian understands that the world can sometimes feel chaotic and overwhelming, and it's not uncommon to feel alone in such circumstances. However, it's important to remember that there are people who care and want to help. After many years in jail, hospitals & institutions Brian, is now living and thriving with over 13 years in dual recovery. Brian has spoken to the news media and many different events including the the U of U and the domestic violence conference using his recovery story to offer hope to others and send ripples of that hope around the world. He is now the lead CPSS-trainer for the USU certified peer support program. Brian has also established a very successful handyman business and is the founder and Executive Director of the Utah Association of Peer Support Specialists. (A local 501c3 with a mission to guide, provide and advance peer support across Utah) Brains motto is… “Cast your pebble & be the ripple you wish to see in the world” "THANK YOU" Brian for being our guest and for the change you are making in the Recovery Community.
