I'm also in the boat of "Last reveal wasn't for me but it's fucking Metroid Prime 4 so I have to congratulate the Metroid fans" Congratulations Metroid fans!!!
The gaming community always gotta look out for each other People were happy splatoon fans like me got our third game,I’m happy for all the Metroid fans out there, and plently more examples.this is our silly hobby and we get to enjoy it as a group
This could also be case where the devs from Alpha Dream were brought into the company that is currently making this game. Like how RF5 was apparently done
11:52 I will never get old of Jacob saying "Freddy Fazbear" out of context. That name has rotted my sense of humor to the point that it's become my sleeper agent word.
Having both the Series X and Switch, I’m excited for more games from Microsoft’s presentation (Doom, Dragon Age, Fable, Perfect Dark reboot, that Expedition 33 game). But I genuinely cried when Prime 4 was revealed. I still can’t believe it’s actually real.
Microsoft’s was still better and I say that as a Nintendo fan. This was good with all the heavy-hitters, especially for being so late in the switch’s life, but not as consistent as the Xbox showcase
@@rickygforce4217 It just depends on your taste on the end of the day. Microsoft's Direct fits more with the "action" gamer. I'm more of a niche gamer, so I couldn't care less about Doom, but stuff like Ace Attorney Investigations were completely insane for me.
6:11 the raw excitement he should for this announcement, if he dosent atleast do an alpharad gold Im sueing him for emotional damage because I am now hyped for hello kitty island adventures
i love how people are claiming that prime 4 isn't on switch as if prime remastered wasn't GORGEOUS as well as being 60fps on switch. This is a new game done by the same team that did the remaster. I would've been shocked if it didn't look this good on switch. Also the top left corner on the logo screen tells you it's on Switch, so........
Yeah, Prime 4 engine just kinda looks like a tidied up, smoother iteration on the Prime 1 Remaster. I’d only be convinced of it being next-gen exclusive if it looked like it was using entirely different tech.
Yeah, it doesn't look like next-gen graphics (even though this is one of the BEST looking & running games I've seen on Switch) & even from the start of the trailer it has the Switch logo. I'm hoping it'll be crossgen, I'd love to play Prime 4 with the extra fidelity of the switch successor.
For those unaware, Phantom Brave is a game, now series, developed by Nippon Ichi Software, the guys behind Disgaea. The last actual entry as opposed to just campaign additions was released way back during the PS2 Era. Not even PS4 or PS3. I don't know how early in the PS2's lifespan, but it was pretty early considering this came out shortly after Disgaea 1. As a fan of the Disgaea series, I'm happy to see their other entries get sequels. Still huffing all the copium for a Soul Nomad sequel.
@@maxspecs Nippon Ichi games are the grindfests of grindfests. If anything Phantom Brave is the shorter one, which is why they kept rereleasing the game with added content.
Truth. For an example, for the PSP rerelease of Disgaea 2, it took me over 300 HOURS to get to the real hard grind that is the Land of Carnage. Freaking Pirates....
@@infinityheart_tm9270 no i totally agree with you that it works perfectly for alpharad gold... I was saying its probably not big enough to be on the main channel as part of the "I played so you don't have to" series
horizon is a weird case because theyre definitely solid games but Sony has been treating them like some kinda like landmark franchise for their platform for some reason and pushing it super hard in weird ways. like remember when they put aloy in genshin but you could only get one copy of her if any because they only distributed her once ever and only on ps4
It's one of their best selling franchises. Zero Dawn has sold more than 24 million copies, which is on par with God of War 2018. Forbidden West has sold about 8 million copies as well
I found out about the game being real from this Nintendo Direct, and I honestly thought I was reading the screen incorrectly for a second, which made me go from watching the Nintendo Direct to watching South Park.
Phantom brave had 1 game prior, it was from 2004 and had like 4 different ports (wii, psp, pc, switch) so its a long awaited sequel for the fans of the game And also disgaea fans who have been meaning to try phantom brave cause due to the SRPG NIS games essentially taking place in the same sort of multiverse (though like unrelated story-wise, just in the same multiverse)
I suck at strategy games so I usually look up the story. But this new game looks so cute and I am a sucker for cute stuff... Oooh, I am going to die a lot aren't I?
Yea I keeo seeing comments about "aw no Legends Z-A" If anything happened in this direct about Z-A it would be announcing a Pokemon Direct at a later date.
It was already peak but fucking Investigations 2 took me out. I've been waiting for 13 YEARS. I've genuinely NEVER been this hype in my entire life ever.
Not sure if anyone else noticed but the song that plays during most of the Metroid Prime 4 trailer is a remix of the Space Pirate theme from the original Metroid Prime.
Getting ace attorney remake just after a ace attorney remake caught me so off guard cause I thought it was gonna be a year or two until we get another remake lol
I’m so glad this was posted! I watched the direct when I got up this morning and as soon as it got to Mario Party, I immediately wanted to see Jacob’s reaction
Conker and Resident Evil 2 are both N64 games and they did NOT start off with that. Perfect dark is a game with a paintball mode turned off by default and Turok has a way to turn off 64-bit blood splatting which is set to normal by default!
When I first saw the trailer for Funko Pop, my immediate thought was, “I bet Alpharad will play this so we don’t have to” Seeing your reaction is perfect 😂
I was honestly hoping for Tomodachi Life or Mario & Luigi, only got one of those but something else actually got me more hyped than what I would've been for those two combined, NEW SPIKE CHUNSOFT GAME, AND IN THE STYLE OF DANGANRONPA?!
Agreed. Never played Metroid. The only thing I got excited for was Mario and Luigi Brothership and Super Mario Party Jamboree. Was kind of hoping for more information on Pokemon Legends Z-A, but congratulations to people who got excited for other games in the direct I didn’t mention.
The first horizon sold over 20 million units and the second is well on its way as well. The perception that it isn't huge is entirely based around the fact that both games launched within a week of literally the 2 biggest game releases of the last decade
I'm hoping Prime 4 is cross gen, cause the visuals they showed look almost identical to Prime Remastered (One of the best looking Switch games) so it definitely looks like it's running on the Switch but I feel like with a 2025 release the game is going to get overshadowed if it doesn't also come to the next console.
Yeah also on mobile just that in mobile for some reason even if you don't update you will get an announcement in the news thing but you have to manually update
Phantom Brave is technically a series, but only now that The Lost Hero released. The first one was made by Nippon Ichi Software, the people who make the Disgaea games, and came out in 2004. I've always liked NIS's games, so this was a very pleasant surprise!
Metroid Prime 4. We have been waiting for so long and it is finally here. Silk Song fans, we hear you. You will one day have your day in the sun just as we just did. Stay strong, keep the faith, keep gaming.
6:11 I'm suing him for emotional damages because I'm now excited about Hello Kitty Island adventures, and he should be expressing his genuine excitement for this announcement if he doesn't at least do an Alpharad Gold.
