When I'm feeling low, I always come back to this video - the energy is just so infections, and even though I'm not remotely into Smash (as a player at least) it's so great to see people getting so excited about something they love. My favourite parts are when they see Snake in the original trailer, and the Banjo-Kazooie reveal.

If only I could go back in time and experience the Smash hype all over again. What a journey it has been.

This has been such a wild ride. Being an Alpharad, Alpharad Plus, Alpharad Deluxe, Alpharad Replay, Not Alpharad and Jacob Rabon IV subscriber over these past three and a half years has been extremely rewarding and I've loved every second of it.

Watching this back, I really feel like Jacob became more authentic as time went on. Almost like he was putting on a character when he streamed before.

I love how not only did Sans get his own entire segment at 30:52 (Unironically, that's still such a huge reveal), but the Mario Movie Cast got a whole segment at 52:15 solely because it's just funny The intermission at 54:01 was really nice to hear, Smash Ultimate's impact has been insane. I was finishing up middle school when the game released, and now I'm through more than half of high school. The Smash Ultimate ride has been really fun, and my mind still hasn't processed that it's starting to end

I love how over the years Jacob has transformed from looking like every single kid you see at your Smash Bros local to looking like a Hunger Games announcer.

i cannot stop coming back to this video. this is already my 4th watch in 6 months. it brings me back to the times when i would watch all your smash videos right when they can out, and getting so excited. they got my through some tough times, and i couldn’t thank Mr. Jacob Alpharad enough

Honestly the main reason I got into smash was because I watched alpharad react to the 2nd smash direct, and subsequently how I got into his videos, his commentary was beyond funny to me

One of the great things about all these reveals and baits is that they always made sure that even when they baited people, the ones who were excited for the setup are still satisfied. They teased a new Animal Crossing, showed Smash, and then revealed Animal Crossing at the end as well. The K. Rool and Banjo trailers have more direct payoffs after the bait. Terry's trailer had like 15 people fail to get the invite, but half of them are background characters and they all have music tracks, usually more than one. The only real exception is Min Min, probably because since it started with a noodle shop it's hardly a surprise they went with her in the end, and Spring Man is still an Assist Trophy. Except for Geno fans lol

54:00 I think this really is kinda one of my favorite vids to go back and watch on this channel. Seeing the past alpharad and reveals is a shock of nostalgia, remembering the times when those were 'first day' videos, and each character was the new hype.

I think the intermission was the best part of the video. Thank you Jacob, for being one of the most authentic and genuinely nice people in the smash community.

As much as alpharad says "THIS IS EVERYTHING I WANTED!!!" 18:00 is a cruel reminder that one did elude him. Possibly one of my favorite reactions too because I doubt anyone was ready for this.

Seeing this video all these years after it was released surprised me. You can see throughout this video how much alpharad has grown and changed over the years, and it's great to look back and remember all the character reveals that happened over the years

Even though I just watched the rest of this today, I'm glad I was able to enjoy watching everyone's reactions to these reveals. Jacob's reactions are always fun to watch especially the side jokes he makes with Joe or anyone who joins him. As an age old Smash fan (since Brawl lol), and (amongst other fandoms too), I'm just glad I got to experience this with my favourite RU-vidrs and see their reactions. And live to tell these tales someday. 😊💙

I’ll never forget that moment of having math class interrupt the second half of the November 2018 Smash Direct for me, and wondering the entire time who the potential “bonus announcement character” would be. I thought it would be Geno or something. I then remember Googling “Smash Ultimate” after class, seeing Piranha Plant got into the greatest gaming crossover as a full fighter, and laughing hysterically. Since then they’ve been my Main and favorite character in the entire series. Thank you for all of the memories, Sakurai. And thanks for all the Ultimate hype, Alpha.

Man, the end hit me so hard. Right after them laughing their ass off at the mario movie, it really felt good. I had already seen the trailer, but just hearing them laugh as unsuspecting people made me laugh just as hard with them. I love these people, and laughing with them feels great. Then, the emotional speech right after realizing how much these people mean to me and realizing jacob's in a better place and knowing he's doing great hit hard.
