You got played fool you don’t seem to grasp the concept of a sports car - fun factor is the most important thing. There’s a reason the mx5 is the most popular sports car ever and a reason why it’s got countless car of the year awards, beating the likes of 570s and GT4s. This alpine is a jacked up mx5 and I mean that in the most complementary way.

In fact, I love the alpine, it’s definitely not a sub par car like the other guy said and I’d sooner drive that than any of the other mentioned manufacturers’ cars. Im simply saying that a lot of the Jaguar, Range Rover and Ariel lines are a similar or less expensive price than what you quoted, new that is.

7/10 way too low. Plastic is probably light plus they spent the money elsewhere. Plus if you care about the interior plastics this is not the car for you.

"what's not to like" just my personal taste: i don't like the now so fashionable displays instead of elegant looking dials. I like the look of the instrument cluster of the old ones, even that of the A310 better, don't like fixed paddles (which would be cured by your mentioned 3rd pedal) and the lack of small storage compartments. And i think the arangement of where the alcantara on the steering wheel is, is the wrong way around. Otherwise this is the first french car in a big while that i am actually very interested.

@@nirfz I didn't notice the Alcantara but you're right - other do the same silly design (Alfa 4C sports wheel, Nissan 370Z Nismo, etc)

Don't know any japanese car that looks similar to that language.

For some reasons Japanese in Europe have bad names, they make "shitty" cars, which is probably funny for any knowledgeable people because they saved the European industry with their methods. People are easily influenced if you know what i mean.

To be fair, gearboxes in a transverse mid engines are always pretty horrible. Id still prefer one though..

The 4c did get a manual outside the US. It wasn't very good.

i have heard that they had not enough money to do a manual gear box , they preferred to invest in the light chassis/body/piece and road holding

@@campkira You need to drive one to realize it's not underpowered... Hard to get parts and very expensive? It's fuckin Renault parts, aluminium ones might be a bit expensive due to the material but otherwise... Insurance is not that much, in France with full insurance it's about 600€ a year.

Impossible these days with that kind of comfort
