Alpine A424 LMDh WEC Hypercar in Action at Imola Circuit- SOUNDS LIKE A F2?! 

Throwback to a couple of weeks ago, when I recorded the brand new Alpine A424 LMDh racing in the WEC 6 Hours of Imola at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari
The A424 has been unveiled last June under the name of A2023_β, and made its on track debut later last year at Paul Ricard. Its first race took place in Qatar, at the first WEC round of 2024, getting a 7th place with the 35 car driven by Paul-Loup Chatin, Ferdinand Habsburg and Charles Milesi, while the 36 finished 11th with Mick Schumacher, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Nicolas Lapierre
In Imola the two Alpines didn't score points instead, also thanks to an incident in turn one which involved both the 35 and the 36
The A424 it's based on Oreca LMP2, while the engine is the Mecachrome Turbo V6 (like the one used also in F2) combined with an electric motor provided by Williams Advanced Engineering, Bosch and Xtrac
