HeyDan, ran across this video today while looking at the 7 inch model. Thinking about putting that in the Scion… haven’t seen you in a while, hope all is well.

What is the resolution that the camera can output on the head unit? I'm looking for a HD, mostly 4K camera. Would be extremely helpful for my off-roading ventures when I can see in greater detail. If not, is there another option to buy a 3rd party camera with better resolution and optics to attach to the head unit? Thanks a lot, great product that I am most interested in.

Yes all good I have the 511 and the cam setup but the knob is no wear to be found I back ordered it almost two months ago; STILL waiting

I have a question. I just got my f511 installed in my 2020 Tundra and i love it. Even the toyota app functions work and the remote start. The only thing i dont like is the mic has to be out and not in where the OEM mic is located. Is there any way around this?? Or any plans on creating something to be able to put the alpine mic in the OEM mic location.

Does the F5xx series support AHD cameras? I have not installed currently and will be upgrading my head unit to a 509, and wanted to save having to re-route a new camera.

Possibly looking at this model to put in my 2014 tundra, but not sure what is the better fit. The 11" model or the 9" one. Any suggestions or links to some pictures to help my decision.

In the video you state that wireless android auto is available, but I can't seem to get it to work without the usb attached. I run android 13, have te latest android auto update and updated the headunit to 2.0.

Are these compatible with the Alpine SGS-CH01 Camera Interface? I bought one for my factory radio because I didn't want to splice into wires for my camera. The manual seems to indicate that it's compatible with Alpine radios as well, but wanted to verify.

Hi. You say the unit features wireless carplay and wireless andriod auto. Can you confirm that this is correct? On the Alpine website it's stated that android auto is only supported in wired setup. Thanks for your feedback.

Just had mine installed in a 2019 RAM 2500 Tradesman. Now I don't get the beep when someone is in my blind spot and I turn on my signal light, I do get the orange triangle in my mirror, but no chime. There were a few things in my OEM radio that controlled my daylight running lights, is that also something I lose with the radio? TIA.

When using Apple car play or Android auto, can you stream Netflix? I currently have a different brand and Netflix used to stream but now it doesn't, the screen just blacks out on all streaming apps. I'll change over to this if I can stream apps like this, it's good for the mrs and kids on long drives.

just did the latest firmware update for my ilx-F511 and it erased all settings back to factory and disabled my sub. What in the world??? Please help

Why does this unit not have built-in navigation? It comes with a gps antenna.

Came across this video recently and was impressed with the iLX-F511. For us here in NZ, we get the 511E model, don't know what the real difference is, but looks the same. However, I have been disappointed in the unit, and though it has some features, some of the basics are just not there. For the radio, for one, this appears bare-bone, no RDS for radio info, name or music playing (my $199 plain jane has this feature standard). Cannot get Android Auto Wireless to work, even though it says on my phone it's wireless, and the GPS, what's the point of this, you have to manually set the offset to local time, this should be auto updating for standard and day-light times. Plus other issues. Long winded, but I would not be recommending this system, for what it is and the price.

So basically evetthjng you're offering 2 years later still isn't as much as pioneer or kenwood in their flagship floating displays in their 2020 models 😂 I do love the car battery voltage display though that's something I wish was on my kenwood DMX9720XDS

I saw the literature for the Halo 11 the other day boasting "worlds first class D amp in a headunit", I had to lol, no it ain't, Sony have *2* headunits that are probably 5 or 7 years old now that are 40wrms x4 or over 70wrms x4 @ 2ohm

I would love something like this, but it would cover 5 important buttons in my truck. Traction control, hazards, auto stop/start and outside video camera control to name the most important. Sucks.

It looks lagy to me or is it just me? Would love to review one of these on my channel. Would look great on my imported RHD Toyota Chaser 1jz. I bet all the people importing JDM cars like me don't know how good these would look for a show car. 👍🏼🤙🏽

Just want to warn brfore you buy. I have a samsung s9+ and it does not work well with this units wireless android auto. The sound drops and lags behind commands making Android auto totally unusable.

Just bought the halo 11 and all i can say it is a big disaster for me ... and not just for me .. why this category of player need external players to watch youtube or any other things what chinese cheap android players can play without any problem ... how can i turn off the player completly ? why the touch responding so disaster on player ? slow and sometimes a few cm around where i was touching the display ... so 1 thing is good in this player ... the sound ant thats all ... please alpine make a firmware to make this player usable .

I wont bye an Alpine again.. ever.. cuz this bs with the alpine tune It app stopped working!!
