hey there Revzilla, I consider buying these gloves, but have a little dilemma. GP Plus R (2017) or GP PRO (2012-2016) ?? Wich is a better glove. I know "the old" GP PRO is higher in the "foodchain", but still, they are older. Thanks for your advice
The old GP Pro Gloves still offer a bit more protection than the "new" GP Plus R Gloves, so if you can still find the old GP Pros, go for them. -DrewZilla
I tried these on at my local store and they have an odd annoying pinch in my right pinky finger when gripping. Does not affect my left hand. Tried a size up from my normal large size but the xl is too big and the medium is too small. I use the dainese carbon d1 long for the street, so I tried on the druids and there was nothing but comfort. Ended up finding a super deal on the older dainese full metal d1s for the same price as these gp pluses. NOTE: the gp pros do not pinch my pinky finger. It's only the gp plus. Hope alpinestars fixes that. I would've liked to match my suit, but dainese wins in comfort.
I bought my GP plus for like 4 months and the first time I wore it I have the same problems I got pain at my pinky but after around 100 km of usage it disappear but my soft wrist protector has peel off completely
The Dainese Druid Long D1 Gloves are at the same level as the GP Plus R Gloves, as they feature similar construction and protection. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/dainese-druid-long-d1-gloves
I have a question. I'm about a 9 1/2 circumference around my hand what size would you recommend? I usually fit into a extra large on gloves depending on what they are thank you
For me this a glove I would use as street/track. For this price range that doesn’t have touch tech is a no go for me. Especially when their other gloves on a lower tier and costing less will have touch tech. Very disappointing.
Summer, yes. Spring, maybe towards the end. These are utilitarian sport gloves, so there's no waterproofing or thermal lining to keep you warm or dry. -Kraus-e
If you can afford them, I definitely recommend the GP Plus R Gloves. The SP8 v2 Gloves are good for their price, but the GP Plus R Gloves are even better than their price. They really are a big step up in protection. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-gp-plus-r-gloves
