It really did. It was my first exposure to the LGBT community really. And I felt for the characters so much. Ever since I played it, I have been fond of the LGBT community. This eventually led me to realise that I am bisexual.
Alt-J music helped me cope with my PTSD and trauma. Helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. I'm extremely grateful to you all. Your music is medicine
LYRICS!!! Something good, oh something good, oh something good, Oh something good tonight will make me forget about you for now Get high, hit the floor before you go Matador, estocada, you're my blood sport But something good, oh something good, oh something good Oh something good tonight will make me forget about you for now Forty-eight thousand seats bleats And roars for my memories of you Now that I'm fully clean The matador is no more and is dragged from view Get high, hit the floor before you go Matador, estocada, you're my blood sport Forty-eight thousand seats bleats And roars for my memories of you Now that I am clean The matador is no more and is dragged from view But something good, oh something good, oh something good Oh something good tonight will make me forget about you for now Alt-J - Something Good
Thought this was a cover off something good by Utah saints so happy is wasn’t some of the best lyrical writing I’ve ever heard have come from this band
@@thats_tiggas8558 is the dude on the video, lmao. Basically is the profession name... I can't explain by myself because im dumb so just go to Wikipedia
素晴らしい歌詞とメロディ。Alt-jを5年くらい前に知ってそれ以来ずっとファンです、毎日聴いてます。 Great lyrics and melodies, discovered Alt-j 5 years ago and have been a fan ever since, I listen to it everyday. Message from Japan
I think their music is ageing fantastically. As time goes on i appreciate it more. Each song sounds like it should have its own feature length art house film.
This song speaks to me through losing a loved one. The 'something good' is something that has initially attracted our attention. When that thing impales us, the world turns upside down and becomes chaotic and unfathomable. When we reach for our swords and separate ourselves from the thing that impaled us, we become free from our attachments and find attraction the 'something good' again. But, this time, we are left with a hole the shape of what impaled us before.
@@franzroth2830 I like that interpretation and it could be the most widely accepted general interpretation. It can also be the pain of knowing that your loved one is with someone else(only for the time being, without a break up). And "something good" distracts you from thinking about it. "Something good" can be any form of sedation, softer or as hard as drugs depending on how depressed it makes one feel. This alternative interpretation makes it more relatable for me.
Was looking for someone to explain the video in the comments… thank you! Have always loved this song but only recently saw the video. I think you gave a perfect analysis❤️ my condolences for your loss
Estocada = Merciful thrust in final part of bullfight designed to kill the beast. He's trying to forget something that hurt him. Something else (the something good) allowed him to temporarily forget (for now)
Watching this video was like being jolted, flung into the air, falling, being impaled, and rampaged and tossed around like a ragdoll. Good cinematography like this gives me falling sensations.
When I was in my 20s I was working in the weed farms in Humboldt county, California. It was a crazy time in my life, full of madness and hope and lots of hard work. This was my favorite song and gave me peace in those moments I was able to gather some rest.
Breezeblocks was the first song by them that I listened to. And now every few months I watch/play something that has a song by them and it's awesome and made them one of my favorite bands.
Being confined at home made me look through all of my music and when my eyes saw the title I swear all the feels came back!!! You know a song is good when after all those years you still feel like it's the first time!!
favourite band and such. The moment I recognized this song in episode 2 was a huge break down. alt-j your music has a special sense I can't describe.. but thanks for being with me in these and other wonderful moments.
I mean i just love this band, listen at that beautiful authentic genuine tone. none of this auto tune crap, just three super talented guys. such stunning harmonies in this, beautiful
This song just might be the best song I have ever listened to by Alt-J. I don't mean to go all sentimental, but the lyrics really speak to me and what I'm going through at the moment. ΔLT-J ΔPPRECIATION!!
This nurse has COVID for the 4th time. This one's pretty bad. Sleeping ~23 hours a day. Woke up and listened to this♥️. ALWAYS makes me happy. Always make me feel better. ♥️♥️ Love you guys.
.. because this place we created is slowly breaking the will of everything that it encounters.. happiness is simple.. remember this and don't complicate things.
I really think this is amazing! I love how they used framing to give the video a surreal and chaotic effect. I also find it interesting that it is sort of from the matador's perspective as we see his more or less hallucinations as he dies from blood loss. Just an overall awesome video that deserves all the views and likes it gets.
I go to my school in the bus with this song always while I see on the window, it's the best song to start the day with good humor. PD: I love you Max Caulfield xD
As someone who fought some demons of his own, I'd say that this song is so accurate, it almost hurts. And at the same time, it's so beautiful, it heals too. Amazing. Album title is not overconfident, this is awesome, this is art! More, more, more!
So, I was a bit annoyed at everyone being here for this amazing song only having comments about some random game. But I took your advice and eventually gave the game a shot. I'm only at the beginning of episode 2, but I do really like it so far! Funny how we can find out about and share passions through the most unexpected ways. 🤗
I was so bored so I searched "something good" on RU-vid and I got here and writing this comment and indirectly got connected with you because you are still reading my comment with good concentration , thanks 😊
Summer is rolling in, windows down, this song playing driving through the country surrounded by long pasture and crops with the afternoon gentle breeze. The nostalgia of home.
+twomo1 You were playing Life Is Strange in the part before when there is this song, then you knew about this song, so you knew Life Is Strange before this song and you knew this song before Life Is Strange played it
César Benìtez Well I know it's not 'for' a game, but it was in it's soundtrack and was picked for it, so that's why I say 'for a game'. Your point is accurate, though :)
minha segunda favorita do álbum, conheci ela através de Life is Strange e foi através dela que comecei a ouvir essa banda maravilhosa que sem dúvidas é minha banda favorita da vida!
now my second favorite alt-j song. funny how playing LiS made me like this song so much more. its kinda like reliving the emotions of LiS a little bit each time I listen to it.
I played Life is Strange and didn't even know that it had this song in it until I read the comments lol. Im just focused on how amazing this music video is.....like seriously. Its absolutely amazing. The style of how its shot, and ahhhhh just wonderful. And intriguing.
Thank you Dontnod Entertainment for placed that amazing song to your game. Personally, I've heard that a long time ago likewise with Crosses, but I'm still glad, that both of them has been picked in Life is Strange.
I still thrive for the moment i'll get to listen to it whilst driving on a road with trees both ways on a road trip. Plus this song being in my favourite game is just too good
