In AC1, the memories wouldn’t sync unless Altair finished with the full health bar. He was so overpowered canonically that he never even lost a health square in that whole game. Oh, and he didn’t even require armor himself but built the legendary armor set using Apple of Eden that Ezio would come to possess.
You have regenerative health like in AC3, BF, Rogue, probably liberation and I can't remember for Unity/Syndicate. Also pretty much all missions where you fight in AC 1 are far enough for the Bureau for you to be full health when you are back... So tbh I can't confirm or deny the fact missions wouldn't sync if you were full health, I never lost enough bar close to the bureau to even test that. But even if it was the case, since AC3 & BF have cut scene on most missions you are guaranteed to be full health when you sync so 🤷♂️. Altair also got hit ans stab a couple of times in cut scene. Cute theory but doesn't hold much.
@@Boby9333 If you can't bother to verify it for yourself, why are you being so condescending yet wrong about it? It's called the synchronization bar for a reason in AC1 as you need it to be full for the memories to be synchronized. Cutscenes do not count since most of the situations therein were out of Altair's hands to begin with and they are just trying to tell the story.

For those saying Altair couldn't swim here is the cold hard facts for you he actually could swim Lucy admitted in AC2 that the animus Desmond was in during Altairs adventures that it couldn't Animate swimming so everytime Altair hit water it would desynchronize so Altair could swim and another fact in AC Revelations Ezio has pretty much said Altair was the greatest Assassin to ever live

Uberto was a Templar who was able to pretend to be an Assassin because Altair was too busy with his Assassin duties to actually prevent Templars from infiltrating the brotherhood. Ezio did a better job when Altair was smarter than him. And I’m gonna tell you this. Altair is not stronger than Ezio and he never was. He was known for his intelligence more than his fighting ability. The Library vault is by far the best scene in the franchise . And yes altair is on another level . But ezio is the most lovable , i literally was missing him when i completed the trilogy of ezio .
Another way to think about it, in the first game, altairs "Health Bar" isn't really a health bar, it's a "Synchronization Meter" implying that it determines how in sync with the ancestor Desmond is, (this is also stated in the game) when you kill civilians, the meter drops, because assassins didn't kill civilians. The only way to refill it is to blend, successfully counter or assassinate an enemy, or hide. It also depletes whenever Altair TAKES DAMAGE, implying that Altair never once got hit throughout his assassins adventures. At least that's what it seems like to me😁

The only reason people say Ezio is the best Assassin is not because of who he is or how he fights. I think it's because of his story and the way playing AC2, Brotherhood and Revelations felt like. I hated to play AC1 because of the gameplay but I was truly happy about the fact that I did finish it because of the story of Altair and how it continued in Revelations.
It was Altair who wrote those Codex pages and trained Ezio for all kinds of assassination despite them not meeting. Altair is the GOAT. He is epitome of wisdom.
Those saying Ezio story is sadder than Altair, then remember the whole creed (brotherhood) was against him. I love Ezio too since these two were the ones who made most of the teen tears I had. I just have Altair on the top because of the lengths he went to save the brotherhood. If it weren't for him the brotherhood won't exist.

Fun fact: Altair isn’t a stronger fighter than Ezio. Not only did he lose spectacularly and get his ass beat in cutscenes. He lost his master title in the first mission. Also Ezio got his master title after so long because he was too fucking busy rebuilding the Assassins order.

Al Mualim raised Altair and thought he could do no wrong and made him Master Assassin early. Which was a complete fucking failure. The reason Ezio didn’t become a master assassin early is because he was too fucking busy taking on a Templar army. And guess what? He killed his first Templar master when he was only 17 and then took down two more before he began any Assassin training. Altair lost to his first one in the beginning of the game. And the creed already existed before Altair dumbass. The only noteworthy thing he did was use an apple of Eden and build a codex. Which funny enough makes him worse than Ezio. Altair wasn't just a badass fighter: he guided Ezio with the codex and with his memories to help Desmond save the world in 2012. He also saved and reformed the Brotherhood. Dude was also a genius. With the help of the Apple, he was able to develop the new version of the hidden blade (the model that don't cut your finger when activated), the poison blade, and the wrist pistol. Don't forget that after centuries Ezio was still using Altair's inventions.

I thought Leonardo said that he improved the design of the hidden blade to not require cutting the ring finger? Look up the scene where Leonardo pranks ezio, making him think he's gonna cut his finger with an axe.
@@n.p5487 Altair improved the design, it's written in the codex pages. Leonardo was able to translate the codex pages and to recreate the objects described in the original Altair's blueprints. The parachute is Leonardo's, but the blades from AC 2 are Altair's projects. You can also play as Altair with two hidden blades in revelations

Because when Ezio and Claudia (his sister) were admitted to the creed, their ring finger was scorched as some important ritual. Scorching a finger probably replaced cutting a finger.. But that sounds weird, because that would imply other assassins up to that point already had improved blades that didn't need to cut a finger... We need to check this out.

Aside from those few instances, he never got hit once in his missions, assassinations and confrontations. Which is a feat no other assassin has achieved not even Ezio. Ezio is good, but not that good. He himself recognizes this and looks up to Altair. Play the games and you'll see.

Man hasn't played through the whole game. He regains his rank. Kills all the targets including robert de sable while being outnumbered 10 to 1. Then kills al mualim who had the apple of Eden. In ac bloodlines he defeats Armand bouchart. The new templar grandmaster after Robert. Ac bloodlines features various menacing bosses like Frederick the red, Moloch the bull, the witch and the twins. He kicks their asses alone with no help. He infiltrates large castles and assassinates his targets. He's able to control the apple of Eden without taking damage unlike ezio. He completely reformed the brotherhood. Developed the double hidden blade,hidden gun,poison blade and wrote the codex which Leonardo translates to discover the location of different temples. Tf are you on about man. Go play ac Odyssey🤡.
He was the first to play and was the Greatest, just look at his achievements as he was so young to be Grand Master Assassin even besting all others even his own mentor,, Ezio himself pays a Great tribute & considering Altair as his big brother at the end of Revelations Altair is the GOAT

Altair literally gets hit in his first on screen mission... fails to kill his intended target, gets his brothers killed and maimed, breaks the tennets of the creed multiple times, and compromised the brotherhood.
No, that’s literally the whole point of the game, is that they’re his ancestors. Literally nobody forgets that because it’s the story and you’re reminded of it. Repeatedly.

But in an actual fight, both cannot defeat each other. The fight will go on for very long. Altair will get hit less(he might get hit because its ezio against him), and ezio has medicine and amazing dodging skills. It's a never ending fight.

He’s mostly known for having built the assassin codex and his knowledge. The animus is even still using his codex. Whenever Desmond checks the characters bios that’s Altair’s knowledge still because he used the apple of Eden to make himself age slower and to look into the future to finish the codex. So in a fight Ezio stomps. But if it was a chess match Altair will make Ezio rage.

If altairs dedication doesn’t make him the goat idk what does. At a young age he was the best he is the youngest to have the title master assassin. He was still agile at age 60. He had control over the apple of Eden and didn’t get corrupted by its influence. He came back to the masyaf castle at age 80 still killing people in the coldest way. He died at the age of 92 due to old age and even then he had the last disk and apple hidden in a vault still being dedicated to the creed at that age. That’s dedication to its finest. The best assassin ever, ezio’s still the better protagonist tho
Actually, Altaïr never got hit at all. That's why his tunic has no armor, he never used armor cause it slowed him down. He relied only on his agility and speed, and he never got hit, since a wound or a stab were very difficult to heal and most of the times deadly in his time, without modern medicine. It was very easy to die from an infected wound.
Difference is, ezio is storming a castle against an army in the open by himself while seeing visions. I think he still takes the cake as the supreme assassin.
