Be aware - LOTS OF PAUSING!!! I know some people don't like lots of pausing, but this was a song that I felt deeply and it put me in a place where I had a lot to say. All good for me if you don't like pausing and just go watch the original. But it it what it is, and I'm sure glad this was recommended to me. Loved watching your reaction. I read somewhere that his friend died of cancer. The line you were struggling to understand was' The cycle of suffering goes on'. Looking forward to your net AB reaction.

It's just his friend, it was that specific friend that gave Myles his first guitar

Great reaction. Myles has said this song is always emotional for him to sing especially when he plays it in his hometown as his friend's family attends. And Myles hid his guitar skills from the other members of the band until after the first AB album was recorded. Mark discovered him playing jazz guitar in the guest room. Myles said they hired him to sing and he didn't want to show up and say "look what I can do." Mark says Myles is a phenomenal guitarist. They bring out the best in each other.

This reaction is so beautiful. You really get the song. It almost always gets me if I pay attention. For me its about my mom who died too early, but you demonstrate so clearly how universal and powerful this tune is. Thank you for being so vulnerable.

Great song and performance! - especially when you consider that Myles was bothered by a bug during this concert- you can hear his congestion when he speaks in the intro, and a few times in the song. Kills it anyways! Great, great band of musicians! PS - that guitar solo is considered amongst the greats of all time by critics and fans alike, and says musically what words cannot! Myles’ first blues based (David Gilmour-esque) part is all lament and crying, while Mark’s turns from crying out, to anger, to exaltation! PS PS - Slash is missing out not using Myles as a second guitarist!💪👍

Such a fantastic song and they once played it for a tribute to Chris Cornell. Mark also has a picture of Dimebag Darrell on his guitar!

They are phenomenal live too if you get the chance go and see them 😎🤘 i first saw them at download festival before i could name any of their songs and it was the first time music had given me goosebumps, so powerful

The picking at the beginning is Myles not Mark. Mark does the heavier lead later in the song. They are both special as guitarists and vocalists

Really? I'll definitely need to check that out. I wouldn't have suspected that with his higher registers. Although of course, just because I've only heard him singing in higher registers that doesn't mean he can't sing in lower ones.

Ha, awesome! My issue with the chat (other than sometimes I just forget to look at it) is that it tends to lag what I'm streaming by a good 10-20 seconds. That's the part I need to fix! Appreciate you watching the game streams, although I'm not sure what I'll be doing next :-)
