This is a clip from my fan edit of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, one of my favorite superhero movies that sadly fell victim to Sony's meddling. It restores many deleted scenes as well as some minor changes.
Legit, one of the most terrifying villain transformations Ive seen. Not because it looked scary but you could feel how painful it was just from his screams...
@@dr_no_ok2125 except that we DIDNT get to see Vader getting his ENTIRE flesh removed, or how his suit had needles to keep him in constant itch/pain, etc. How they added some machinery to his organs. While Harry becoming the Goblin in this scene, we get to see his body mutate like his spine and plates!!!
Okay, I was expecting only a few extra seconds of Harry writhing on the floor, but I wasn't expecting it to go into detail of his nails resembling claws, shoulder blades morphing and elongating, and his teeth literally cracking and breaking.
I know lol. Which is why I kinda have reservations to put it in the new version of the edit. But tbh I don’t need to worry about a wider audience and the scene just really good
People always ask why Harry didn't just use the suit from the beginning if it was able to magically "cure" his illness, but I never really got the vibe that it was curing him. More like it registered the horrendous changes his body had just undergone as severe injuries and went about fixing them as best it could. That's why he ended up looking like a methhead. It was just barely holding his body structure together It kept his body from physically falling apart, but couldn't clear out his illness. Like putting a cast on a cancer patient with a broken bone.
exactly. according to imdb trivia, the goblin suit was made by peter's father for the dying norman osborn so that it could act as a support system for him before a cure could be found. this suit would have been later found by harry in norman's dockyard (very very accurate to the comics) and then harry would use it. Also the original cut had spiderman giving his blood to harry and blood then increasing the rate of the disease for which then harry had to search for norman's suit. also this would have been one of the reasons why gwen gets killed by harry.
there's a deleted scene where harry shows the suit to peter , way before he tells him that he needs spider-man's blood to cure his illness. He goes into detail that it repairs the wearer's body.
@@kevinskywalker5539 well, even though what you said exists, but the original script had harry finding the goblin suit in an abandoned port of his father(very comic accurate). In the movie it would shown that the suit was made by richard parker so that he could survive until a cure is found. Also harry would go on to use this suit after harry gets infected by spidey's blood. yes, spidey would have given his blood to harry which would have accelerated his disease unlike the version in the movie.
I finally realize that the venom didn’t cure the disease, but accelerated it accelerated it instead, made Harry lose his mind, and the only thing that saved him was the suit of armor
Andrew Garfield claimed that the original script was amazing, but Sony decided to remove scenes that they didn't like with not only were deep moments with Peter but also scenes with explained how the different plot lines of the movie are connected. In the beginning of the movie and the trailer Peter says he's scared he's gonna make an enemy who is too strong for him and could kill Gwen (in the first movie Gwen's dad warned him about this before he died) and all the plot lines were together building up to the climax where exactly this will happen. Yet Sony decided to delete the scenes that explain how the plot line of peter's dad was related to Harry becoming the Green Goblin, show how the Green Goblin is Peter's strongest enemy and just a lot of cool moments. If they released a directors cut the 4 plot lines would be better connected than the 4 plot lines of Raimi's spider-man 2.
Because of the very own disease that Harry and his father have: "Retroviral Hypodysplasia" For the record, this disease doesn't exist, it's made for this universe. In a nutshell, this ilness makes the body look somewhat like a goblin, this happened at a very slow pace. If you see Norman's hair, you will see that it's spiked up. What really happened to Harry was that the venom basically accelerated the process of the disease, making the slowly and painless process into a fast and painful transformation. And the reason why his hair is like that is because it's supposed to resemble the Green Goblin's purple hat.
@@Account4WarpunsFurthermore, hair can simply stand up. For example, if you're cold enough at night and don't do something to warm yourself, when you wake up in the morning, your hair will literally be standing up, it's happened to me.
I don’t blame the younger people at the time for getting nightmares from this scene, to the screaming to the overall body change. honestly would’ve been better to add this scene and to also add the scene when he was at the main lobby.
I think he was crawling because the muscle was breaking apart on his legs so they where so weak he struggled to stand even his finger bones became more attached to his finger so he wasn't able to move it anymore and it also made his nails grown
I mean isn’t that the point of the suit? Wasn’t it supposed to support his weakening body due to his disease worsening and the suit pretty much kept him alive in a way
This scene is SO brutal and so terrifying and I absolutely loved and hated it at the same time. I oddly enough plan on writing and making a scene for one of the characters I have go through something similar because I got inspired by both this and Darth Vader's introduction.
The song wouldn't necessarily be I'm goblin (even more because this part of the song is already in the fight scene between Harry and Peter), but there are parts of Harry's suite, Sum total and Special project that weren't in any scenes, as they most likely were in deleted scenes like this.
One of the most painful yet a very real looking Goblin transformation If only Avi Arad and Sony didn't interfere and changed the Dane DeHaan's goblin look then it would have been more better
@@kevvvvj I wrote that years ago... you’re probably right as I didn’t include some of the scenes in my edit initially and only counted how much longer my edit was compared to the original. Eh, my mistake
Apparently due to this scene alone the movie might have gotten an R-rating simply due to how brutal this scene was, so they had to cut it a lot in order to keep PG-13.
He's not green the flickering makes him green he looks white the whole time he does have some weird green cells on his skin so some of it where killed I think
I have an available extended version for ASM1 right now if you're interested, though I don't know if you would prefer to wait for an updated version, which I'm still working on? If not then send me a private message to me (Masirimso17) on forums.fanedit.org and I'll provide you with the link.

@@WalkmanWillWalkAllOverYou Oh, sorry! It’s been a long time since I wrote that. There is no available version right now but I’m planning on releasing a new one soon
If the Amazing Spider-Man series continued I wouldn't be surprised if Oscorp created other villains for Spider-Man to fight such as the Shocker Venom Carnage I think Oscorp creating Carnage would have been a really cool thing to see they would have to bust Cletus kasady out of the ravencroft Institute and then test an experimental serum that would supposedly make a man stronger however Cletus kasady had the Symbiote in his bloodstream so when the serum was tested on Cassidy it turned him into the red murdering Menace Carnage
I had a similar experience with Sandman falling in the collider and disintegrating in Spider-Man 3. I was 6 and I begged my dad to leave the theater lol
Is this like an extended cut of the film? or is it just some deleted scene that was cut out from movie and put into the special features on the actual bluray?
This is a clip from my fan edit of the movie, which is made up of most of the deleted scenes from the special features on the Blu-Ray. So yes, it is an extended cut, but it's fan made.
Oh ok i see so are you aware if they're going to release an extended cut of this film? Why did sony cut a lot out of this movie? They even did it with the first film as well I don't understand
I have no idea why they cut all those important scenes, I'm just a fan like you. But I'm sure that Sony won't release an extended cut of the film. As far as they're concerned they're done with the past five Spider-Man films.
Wasn’t this shown earlier in the movie when Harry opens that drive or thing his father, Norman gave him before dying? And then when it opens, Harry sees everything that he worked for, the suit that can self-heal, the thing about the spiders, which would be why he asked Peter to get Spider-Man to give him his blood before realizing they’re both the same guy
"Good becomes great. Bad becomes worse." - Dr. Albert Erskine to Steve Rogers about the effects of Super Soldier Serum(Captain America: The First Avenger) That's why Harry's transformation was terrifying yet near ugly appearance after he was injected by a spider serum which was not complete while Peter got bitten by genetically altered spider who it already completed and stored in the lab before the fateful moment which is why Peter did not become like that Harry transforms.

Like, just think if this was you. I don’t think anyone would survive something so brutal as this! Besides, I don’t know if anyone would have the skills to create a suit so complex as to healing minor injuries as this and keeping them alive. Without that suit, Harry would’ve been dead and gone. That must have been a real painful transformation and I think that spider venom was highly toxic in the first place……. I came to realize how much suffering he had to go through just to become this monster and it pains me to know that he had to die after becoming this monster and you know Spider-Man could’ve given him a better life…….
Imagine he was in Spider-Man NWH and he met Norman Osborn and they fight Spider-Man together for the final battle and maybe Harry gets killed and Norman gets cured
Better yet, imagine if Raimiverse Harry Osborn meets Webbverse Harry Osborn and then meets Raimiverse Norman Osborn. I would like to see all 3 version of Green Goblins together. When Tom Holland's Peter Parker discovers the existence of Norman Osborn having a son and they are Harry Osborn, Tom's Peter is going to ask: Tom Holland Spiderman: Who's Harry Osborn? I never heard of him?

@@divyanshupati , you do have a point, there. Even though it looked kewl, i always thought how does mutated spider venom make your hair stand up like that?
