That speaker can definitely be improved by padding its interior. This should absorb any reflections and smooth out many of the not-so-pleasant spikes in its frequency response.
hello a greeting from ITALY. i bought alto ts315s 2000 vatt thinking about replacing my alto blak 15s which weigh 42 kilos, and are 10 years old, but i found that the old blak series has a lot more power. I was a little disappointed 2000 vatt for me by ear if it has 350/400 maximum. sorry for my English
dbSPL is the big difference, which is perceived volume. The V2218S can only do 125, while the TS318S is rated for 131 - 133. You will get much more air movement and output with the alto
Did your neighbors by any chance complain after you cranked that subwoofer and if they did complain did you get a letter in the mail or did they come knocking on your door or did the police show up at your front door.
I just got some from Menards. www.menards.com/main/hardware/casters-furniture-hardware/casters/shepherd-hardware-3-thermoplasticized-rubber-swivel-caster-wheel-with-brake/3546m/p-1444442246893-c-13090.htm
Thinking about getting this alto sub untill I save enough for the ks118. Any point of comparisson for the price range. How many people do you think one single alto sub and 2 qsc k12s might cover
The KS118 is definitely waaay more powerful than the TS318S models. We used two TS318S in a large ballroom and it filled the room nicely. Don't expect a ton of punch though, these can only deliver that much air movement in small rooms.
They do. Look up the spec sheets for any particular product for more information. It's also beneficial because it's a dedicated speaker. Most subs only go up to 80 or 90 hz, and most PA speakers only go down to 45 or 55.
