Alton Towers Hotel & Room Tour | Awesome Steampunk Moon Voyage Room! 

When I was a kid. Me and my sister were playing in the gardens out the back of the hotel. She told me specifically do not go on the stepping stones. Obviously being a kid I had to go on them and I fell! I was absolutely soaked my mum was so angry hahaha!

So many fond childhood memories in the Alton towers hotel.

When I was younger, when I was at alton towers, I remember my mum walking me and my twin from the hotel to the monorail. It was magical, just magical. I don't know what it was but something about it just hit me, never forgot it, never will.

Who needs Alton Towers entertainment when you have Charlotte 🤣 those dance moves are next level stuff 😂

My husband proposed to me in the Arabian Nights room. The hotel helped him set it all up with lanterns etc. It was a complete surprise, but when we arrived, the door was a dead give away! We stayed there for our honeymoon too - it is an amazing room!

I live close to London so I've never been to Alton Towers, but after seeing this video I think I will book a night stay in this hotel for my birthday in October! Been wanting to go to Alton Towers for years but the drive always puts me off but you have convinced me haha xx

Love the style and theming, done really well. Also like the mood lighting and good seating areas. I hate these places that have lighting like a science lab, you want it mellow 👌🏻

This looks very well-themed. I’ve commented on some of your videos before, but one thing I did not mention is that I am American and after seeing this and the park itself, this is hands-down on my bucket list for theme parks.

Great tour, the accommodation in merlin parks is fantastic.! You’ve got to love the carpets.!

I don't think I visited Alton Towers in the year it opened. But I'm sure that my first visit was by 1981 (the year after.) Never stayed in the hotel, though it looks lovely. Would maybe have been nice to have taken my kids there 10 years or so ago when they were younger. I did laugh a bit when you mentioned taking a beer out to the tabled areas. Because back at the beginning of course, Alton Towers was (in)famous for being a totally 'dry' family friendly theme park. Even to the point of a local-ish adult parody rock band singing a song specifically about said lack of beer at Alton Towers.

Nice vlog Shawn and Charlotte. What a beautiful hotel. I’ve never stayed there as AT is about 31/2 hrs from where I am in Norfolk so quite an easy car journey. After seeing this vlog though I might be tempted to stay a couple of nights. Nice looking breakfast as well 👍

Moon Voyage Room is best priced accommodation in the entire resort in my opinion. Complete with mini fridge & air conditioning, great in the Summer. For some reason they seem to allocate me room 347 which has a fantastic view over the lake. I don't even have shares in it either 😂

We stayed in moon voyage on last 2 days of October this year and omg it was amazing, looking to go Cadbury one next year!

This hotel is so charming has is full of so much character. It really has something for everyone, next time I can go to Alton I'll try my best to stay there.

I am actually very impressed with the Alton Towers Original & first Hotel. It's really really nice & Beautifully themed throughout. I've heard it can be a bit expensive to stay there though if you haven't got a Merlin Annual pass. You wouldn't think that the hotel was 26 years old since it opened back in 1996. And it's been really well looked after as well. It Looks lovely.

Lovely to meet the two of u at breakfast. i stayed in an explorer room and they didnt have air conditioning or a fridge. There was a fan on the wall though.

The Waterpark could do with a new slide, especially since Center Parcs upped their slide game with the Tropical Cyclones. Something like a ProSlide Tornado Wave or Mammoth where a whole family can go at once.

Love all the vlogs you do, especially Alton Towers, but these hotel ones just have a special place in my heart

Great vlog with the rooms. We stay every year for scarefest. Paid £375 this year but got £75 off because of annual pass discount. Makes it worth getting the annual pass just for that! People forget the hotel is only a 3 Star hotel so food and stuff isn’t great but up to the 3 star location. You’re paying for the atmosphere and convenience of staying on site! LONG LIVE TPW!

I haven’t been there for ever it feels like

I will never forget the day our car got stuck up the hill up to Alton towers because of heavy snow. We finally made it to the hotel and in the middle of the night the fire alarm went off (it ended up being a false alarm) and we all had to evacuate to the splash landings hotel in the snow and it was freezing! It ended up being one of the best trip ever 😂

it was lovely tour! i stayed at the alton towers hotel in 2017 and 19. the lifts were amazing. i stayed on the ground floor, in room 106 to give some oriantation. no attendant huge teddy bear there I'm sorry to say, as I love soft toy animals. I hope the bear got the care he needed, though I'm surprised the staff didn't check him over periodically to make sure he was intact.

We stayed in that type of room last year we enjoyed it but they diddnt book us in on time for meal lol but they was kind give us a pizza what was good of them definitely recommend it

Love this hotel Shaun and Charlotte. We have stayed there dozens of times , means Chris were there on Monday night after opening weekend after a really quiet day in the park .. Glad to see they have decent biscuits back in the rooms now . We’ve stayed in many explorer rooms , the artic rooms , the moon voyager rooms . We’ve also stayed in the Arabian nights suite twice and the Princess suite which has gone now . We will never get bored of this magical place , great video guys 😁🧱👍🏼 Ps still a few rooms not got AC yet 🥵🥵

Thinking of finally doing a hotel stay at Alton Towers and do the water park. Way overdue as I have never done it yet been to the towers for years

Nice that you only show all the best bits and not the absolute dire state the hotels are actually in.

Should have shown the Hotel back gate and path that leads to Forbidden Valley. Always liked to walk back that way from the park.

Do enjoy staying at the hotel but feel like the place is in desperate need of renovation now. It’s hardly changed in 20 years.

Bit confused with the prices so can I ask the following: 1) when is off time, because say a weekday in October, that room is £200 so even with the 20% discount on the annual pass 80 is crazy. 2) do you think an adult can fit in the bunk bed (if they bend legs)? Guessing you paid for 2 adults but if you get bunk beds then could make a great lads day instead of paying 2 rooms. 3)if you pay for 1 adult (for the double bed) would you again still get bunk beds? Interesting to test 4) so the price of the hotel doesn't include free admission to park which is crazy! It's inside the park right? They are selling the hotel's few miles away for less price and free 1 day admission to the park. Need to find out how to get 2 for 1 voucher haha.
