ALUM CAVE TRAIL to Mount LeConte | Hiking Great Smoky Mountains National Park 

One of the best trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the Alum Cave Trail to Mount LeConte. At 11-miles round-trip with 2,700' of elevation gain, this popular trail takes you through lush forests along rocky stream beds, through Arch Rock cave, under Alum Cave Bluffs, and ultimately up Mount LeConte's summit where you find the rustic and famous LeConte Lodge.
This Tennessee day-hike was done in July 2023, and it was certainly one of my favorites!
