Every time I get down on myself and feel like just eating a bullet; I watch one of these amazing people that have 1/1000 th of what I have and think to myself....if I did off myself I wouldn't blame God a bit for sending me to a place like this, just to make a point. I hope the guy filming this makes an effort to help this guy and his family.
Mark Hogan You are not alone in this world Mark. Even if it may feel as if you are, your mind's "feelings" does not tell you the truth. Honestly. There is allways a way out. No bullshit Mark. Take care of your battered soul, and seek council with a proffessional, to help you through. Been there and done that... ❤️ My heart is with you.
Back when I was in Junior High School when they actually educated kids and gave them skills I took metal shop for 10 weeks and learned how to do sand castings like this gentleman did. I remember it to this day and enjoyed watching him skillfully make this part.
I’ve been watching a bunch of these type of casting videos for a few months now and this man is one of a kind! He’s very neat and clean and fairly organized. Watch him toss the smallest bit of waste back into the crucible! He sweeps every last grain of sand back into the main pile! Master craftsman!! 👍🏻
That’s absolutely incredible, I work in a steel plant forging bolts for mining supports with a massive press forge and tiny tacco furnace. The skill and craftsmanship this man has is incredible
Its not by big manufacturing its something belongs to what you love , actually this man he have a huge experience in his hobby so that he is incredible
This man deserves respect. He shows what people are capable of with the simplest tools. Be grateful that we were born in a country where it is easier to earn a living.
As a child growing up in Nicaragua, I used to go to the mechanic with my father whenever he needed work done on his vehicle, and the mechanic could fix anything he would make his own parts with nothing more than simple tools. I have lived in Canada for over thirty years and here you need to sit for days waiting for a part to come in so you can get back on the road. I remember the first time my father was told that they had to order a part and that it would be five days before it would came in, he lost his mind, he almost had a heart attack!!!
I live in Thailand and everyone here squats like this for hours and gets straight up and walks off. ... I squat, I need 6 people to help me up and I am crippled for 3 days
Too bad people like this are not appreciated in their countries. They trully are a national treasure. My heart goes to his family. God bless him. Total respect for this man.
Not just the internet. White people aren’t having kids because women have put college and then work before children. Putting off kids results in women having fewer kids due to their older age. Plus abortions (the rate is disturbing), and birth control. This is what happens when women are “ liberated”. It means we die out.
I’ve tried some sand casting myself, so I have some idea of the level of skill that this man has...it really is amazing. And with the most basic tools as well. Just amazing
Casting metal with this degree of precision doesn’t require a lot of tools though. Casting real pieces requires to calculate a lot of things (ie metal retraction, homogeneous distribution, controled cooling...), but this man is certainly doing a nice demo for his situation.
No gloves, no shoes, no coverall, no safety glasses nothing but still he made a successful mold. I have many tools but still couldn't make successfully an aluminum mold.
"YOU RACK DISIPRIN!!!" Cartman. Just kidding, he probably did it his whole life or over 10 years at least and I also admire his hand work. Amazing what can be accomplished just with simple tools and hands.
My guess is it would last less than an hour and destroy the rest of your gear box with metal filings. Hardened steel with machined gear surface would be better.
@@eligavia casting require very strong cooling processes. With this kind of technology, this part wont last any heavy load, because of lots of inner stresses and bubbles. I suppose that there is just no other way to find or buy this detail, so its like last resort
Игорь Суслов thanks for clearing that up. When I read bad quality I automatically assumed aesthetics. I didn’t think about it actually being used I thought he was just showing what he can do.
Дело не в том чтоб на автомобиль запчасти эти, а про то что человек без верстака, вибро столов, разных причендалов, температурных датчиков и прочей храни, на коленях делает такое. А у кого-то столы, разная хрень и не получается.

Yet again our friend the metal caster is showing us his skills and experience to make a casting of an intricate and detailed object and to make such a casting look easy to do. He shows a fluid economy of movement using a minimum of tools, many of which are used in multiple ways other than their intended use. He produces items in a professional manner of which he is quietly proud of.
People just see a poor man that can't afford tools. But I see a resourceful master of engineering that has perfected his craft and given the right opportunity could potentially solve the major worldly problems.
All the critics are those who cant even stitch a button...all they can do is type anonymously and vent anger of their pathetic lonely fleshlight/dildo life...
Did you notice the black sand that was burned? It wasn't just sand but a sand mixture with oil and some other binding agents that can produce the cleanest results possible. You can buy this stuff online. Also a real helical gear is made out of forged steel in a gear cutting machine and not by casting recycled old drum brakes
I Don’t know what amazes me more the fact that he has this skill and the fact he does most of his work in that position .. with no shoes on etc 👍👍 But what a man.😎
You make your work look so easy with your marvelous skills. Iv done casting myself and appreciate a master craftsman at work. God bless you and your family.
we don't need your support. the best support is that to leave us alone, and bring your army bases home, from all around the world. and spend one-tenth of the $ 700 billion military budget for hurricane victims in your country.
I like how he has ordered his workspace so that everything is close to hand. He takes care of his tools and keeps his workspace clear of clutter. I also like how his tools do double duty. The hammer handle is as important as the hammer head. The big bowl is a cover for the kiln, a work pedestal or a bowl, what ever is needed.
Бесспорно, отлить ведомую шестерню гипоидной передачи во дворе собственного дома из алюминиевых отходов - это вершина кустарного мастерства. Однако возникает вопрос о применении сего изделия на практике.
Congrats for this man. Life is not easy for some people. They have a family, too. They were young and had dreams as well. And I’m believe these people are real legand.
Yeah, this man is skillful.I don't really care it's aluminium but his technique and the resulting quality cast with such simple tools...he knows his craft. I've seen plenty metal casting videos on youtube, this is one of the best "no pro tools used". actually learned something and a little curious about the white stuff he uses.
Eh, while I'm sure the work is hard I'm not seeing much skill here. Not surprising though, some dude with a camera asks you to cast a pointless part nobody will ever use for anything, many people would half-arse it. You want to see how a skilled caster works check out Olfoundryman ru-vid.com/show-UC90RoN_IjSRF18jAG0HIA6gvideos
@Scrotus Maximus the camera man asked him to make the gear to show the detail of the cast , think of it like an advert for a new cnc machine, they make all kinds of useless crap but looks cool 👍
Your father is really fortunate to have someone like you has his (adult) child. I live in the New York area and yes, that is what I see too, and think of how many things I think of as annoying that this man would love to have the luxury of being annoyed by. His family is lucky too.
prayer doesn't do anything. God doesn't answer prayers. Is that not obvious? Alot of people have been praying for a long damn time and nothing has changed. So keep your thoughts and prayers to yourself...they are doing nothing.
I sit like this too. I've noticed that it's pretty rare for people of european descent but quite common in impoverished countries. I've been able to move around like that since I was a kid though.
90% of the comments assume that the gear is to be a replacement for the steel original ... read the introduction "[he] is going to metal cast a vehicle gear which I provided him to check if he can aluminum cast it or not" ... this guy is naturally talented and light years ahead of most of the people commenting! I hope that he gets an opportunity to use his natural talents in a better work environment as a result of this video ...
Folks , we are doing it for several centuries , today in modern factories lot of parts are still sand casted , using a bit more mechanized procedures, though . But here, as usual the "general" YT public does not have a clue what they are watching ......just bitching , dont ask them to read and never read these stupid comments!
He visto varios videos de este sr, Su profesion admirable el porque ,hoy dia todo lo hacen, robot maquinas .verle trabajar tan artesanal digno de admiracion y con tanta dedicacion, talentoso felicitaciones
As a mechanic engineer I spend a LOT of time fabricating my own parts. There are 100's of methods. Each unique. I am not gifted. I am trained and educated in it. There are tons of people like me globally. Also, shooting an approximation out there like 99% of humans using RU-vid are out-skilled by someone who casts aluminum parts using sand and a set of mould trays is a true indication of near mental-retardation. It shows no education, no intelligence and no class. This guy is skilled. I don't doubt that. But anyone who gets trained at something and does it religiously ends up being great at it. That is basic, elementary science. There is nothing to be surprised by in this video. Again, basic science. I give this guy a thumbs up, but I would NEVER be ignorant enough to assume an entire demographic has an IQ of 70 or less just because "I" am impressed by something. That also means you are smug and think too highly of yourself and assume everyone else is less intelligent than you. Arrogance.... How drole.... 😒 How lowbrow. You are impressed by a guy who casts aluminum parts in sand? Cool 👍 I'm impressed by quantum physics. Different strokes for different folks. Don't doubt the intelligence of a society. That only indicates how uneducated you really are.
It’s interesting to see how he does all of his work on the ground. No work bench needed. I like the concept of utilizing space more efficiently but my legs would go numb if I tried this
@@HekpoCekc так поэтому ее и льют из алюминия, и возможно ее хватает на 100 часов, но купить такую же из стали у них не возможно, не забываем где и как они живут,
He wouldn’t be making them if they didn’t work he’s a true craftsman but with his profession more like a baker of fine pastries it’s the art not always the science I bet his gears work great 👍
You don't have to go back that long. The UK at the height of it's power in the 1930s and right upto I'm guessing the 60's was full of small workshops building industrial components in similar fashion. Lots of videos from that time show hard men in long sleeved shirts and ties working in what would today be considered dangerously basic workshops sometimes little more than 4 walls and a roof. We lot are lucky and should appreciate it.
Except for the ones you empty you pocket to make stronger yes i agree , but is basically a fact factory crap wont last not even on the highway im saying !!
