Someone sent me an Ultra Punch and a kit as a present. It has been sitting in my cabinet for a few years! I decided it was probably time to try it. Very well explained for beginners! I do lots of punch needle on my channel and I punch samples for a store. I can't even imagine doing a project as large as that sign! If you were closer to PA, I'd stop by for a visit. :)

What size needle are you using?

So for punch needling floss, you have to punch needle on the underside of the pattern in order for the loops to show on the front? I recently did a punch needle kit with wool and the loops were on the back.

Hi Dawn! I've been wanting to try a new craft besides painting. Someone told me I should try punch needle and I was like okay i've done that but it ended up being different. I used to long time ago did latch hook (thought it was the same thing), WRONG. I don't know nothing about punch needle. I had to give up doing latch hook because I'm allergic to wool. My question is, can you do any pattern in floss or do you have to do specfic ones? That would be the only way I could punch needle because most yarn is wool, right?
