In this episode I’m starting my adventure in an unusual place, just to move on into the forest shortly after. The small ditch provided great opportunity to look underneath a deep layer of soil, otherwise impossible to touch with a metal detector.
For some reason I was a little bit too picky, as I didn’t investigate a few of the signals. Sometimes I have very low expectations, maybe I was convinced that these objects were trash.
I then moved on to the forest, to begin a short but (in my opinion) successful relic hunt. I had only one battery charge for the camera, which at that time would last for about 90 minutes, therefore I had to hurry.
I made some nice finds in form of beautiful 1700’s buttons. For some reason I can always count on 18th century people :). I also made a special find that day, a shiny, very old looking heart. Is the material silver? I’m not sure. But the way it’s made looks very old to me. Medieval old?… Older?… And more important, what exactly is it?
I made this hunt 2018, but kept all finds untouched (uncleaned), until I edited the video. In this case the finds had to wait 4 years until this week in 2024 :). I didn’t even know, what I found until I cleaned the heart, which was a nice surprise.
I haven’t done any research, but to be honest, I don’t even have the right sources to look into. So there is that… If someone knows more, let me know how old it could be, and what exactly is it.
Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed it.
