I used to be the type of person to talk a storm on the first date & it never allowed me to truly observe the guy I was on a date with. Now I observe a guy by simply not talking too little or too much. Balance is key. But also use discernment by asking God to help you reveal their true intentions, bc people can put on a show for you even years into a relationship.

same including a guy who ghosted me that I had a huge crush on..my legs are closed until marriage but wow I wanted to kiss him straight away..he barely talked and kept asking me questions and I would return the same question each time he d ask something about me..I d ask the same about him..answers short..he talked a bit..sometimes men are silent when you say things...and I think its a red flag..

I dated the "tall dark and handsome guy" he was the devil. The worst person a narcissist. I also had a relationship at one point with "little ugly" and he dogged me out. Just staying focused and gaining knowledge from Tony's videos to gain some perspective on what a real decent man will look and act like.

So much truth, it's a man's character, heart and mindset that matter and the lack of those can be seen mostly from a first talk and a look on their social media posts and interests. When you go further and start dating, date someone who is genuinely interested in knowing you, who shows care and respect, not guys that come thinking their exterior, car or money are enough to sweep you off your feet, guys who you feel are on the verge of getting upset everytime you show you have standards and boundaries or make you feel hard to love.

yes but I guess you need to be able to kiss him..I agree..so far I have new male friends..and they couldnt care less about getting to know me..few times I had men who faked interest..and were not genuinely interested in getting to know me..its a turn off..Its rare men are interested I find..for example I do art and I did have friends interested in it even a guy who ghosted me maybe because my legs are closed until marriage.. I have this friend that has some nose hair coming out of the nose..but he is cute though it turns me off..some men may have but not long..I could never tell him to remove them..anyway he has a gf..and is 10 years younger than me.. Sometimes Its the other way round of what TG was saying..first time I saw him I thought he was really cute but too young and then saw him again after a few months by chance during the lockdown..his Gf left abroad and decided to hang out just as friends..but I thought to myself..wow he looks less taken care of than the first time I had seen him..

@@irlandaise5631 If you will increase your rate of exposure, meaning going out more often and in circles where you find people like you, you will definitely meet more guys and some of those will like you for who you are. Don't settle to deal with people who ghost you or don't show real interest or are not taken care of, instead you can change your circles to meet other kinds of persons.

@@CarmenLifeCoach the thing is that. im in extreme lockdown in my country ireland..I play tennis though now twice a week..all cafes are closed..im also umemployed since last year..was studying online..I thought about getting a job in a shop but its not really what I want to do..and in my past experience most people are taken in jobs..there is not many circles here..but yeah im trying.. I agree with your comment about the first talk and social media if they have one..I dont I do go out everyday for lunch and shopping though..

A guy approached me at work and we small talk from time to time. He said that he wanted to go out to eat I said okay we could. Then he said I would have to pick him up after work. I told him that I could go out to eat but I couldn’t pick him up. So he said he had something to do and he’ll text me after he was done... haven’t heard from him since. I’m happy I got approached but I’m not going to settle just because he approached me. The funny thing is that he just tried to slide in the part about me picking him up to go to the restaurant.

I agree w/Daisy Rodriguez my husband did not have a car when I meet him. He was in the Navy constantly deployed at sea, so therefore he had no need for a car. When we started dated he paid my car note & eventually we got married then purchased a car together. Men are conditioned to buy a set of wheels example a lil boy will ask for a bike before a toy. Inquire about his transportation first, then suggest you meet him at the restaurant or venue before 5pm

That’s a good question because I’ve been having a lot of those days lately 😅. In my experience I’ve had both happen. Butttt, there’s a few men at my gym I’m attracted to but I feel like they don’t approach me because I’m all sweaty, but if they saw me outside of my gym clothes and hat, maybe they would be attracted and they would approach me. But I’ve also been approached in sweats and a hoodie. So it depends on the guy from my experience. Men are so driven by looks

This message was definitely for me, because even though I realize I’m not perfect, I can tend to be a bit shallow when it comes to things like teeth, acne, being overweight, etc. I tried very tactfully to inquire about a man’s discolored front tooth (he made 6 figures a year and had two closets full of sneakers but couldn’t get his tooth fixed 🥴) and he still got offended. I see men who are attractive, but they’re about 20-30 lbs heavier than I prefer. Idk how to have these convos without them being offended or thinking I’m trying to “change” them or being shallow. I just feel like if I’m dating men 30+ years old, things like this are indicative of where a man’s priorities lie. And this isn’t just about looks, but more so their ideals on being health conscience. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on this?

I understand. Especially if it is something that can be controlled (vs acne can flare up, extra weight from a health issue). If you are a healthy, active person; you want someone who cares about their body like you do. And can keep up with you.

I’m sooo turned off by fat men, but then I see all these men who were overweight and a woman accepted them anyway, he marries her, lost weight and looks really attractive!! I just don’t want to have high hopes that that could happen to me and I’ll end up stuck with a fat man who doesn’t want to change. I just wanna know HOW to have that conversation upfront, like “Do you have plans to get in shape?” But I have a feeling no matter how I say it, it’ll come out wrong

@@charmariah4766 Exactly. I had braces for years and numerous painful oral surgeries to get the smile I have now. Sacrifice. Bad oral hygiene is very serious like you said, in addition to being off-putting. But when I ask if they’ve ever considered braces or fixing their teeth, I can tell they’re offended. Men get to be so choosy about how they want their ideal woman to look, but it seems like when it’s the other way around, women are called shallow. Men meet women exactly where they are and either decide to move forward with them or move on. Women are expected to get to know the man before making those same decisions. It’s so hard 😫

I was told that I can be harsh and sometimes mean to men. I see it a being assertive and upfront (due to past hurt), but I will try to be less harsh and a little bit nicer. I am an older woman wanting to be in a relationship and married, but want the right man and not having to settle for just anyone.

Last week I was called “bossy” by a guy and I’m like “Wow, I have standards and preferences and I’m simply conveying them to you.” But people will perceive what you say based on their own experiences and preconceived notions about “women who look like you.” I’ve tapped into my feminine energy and have softened my approach, but as a dark skin black woman I feel like I have to try extra hard to disarm people or explain I’m not being mean, I’m just being direct.

I would not give a man you dont know your main phone number. When you google someones number you can pull up their whole name, their address and everywhere youve ever lived, and the names of your relatives. I bought a burner phone for dating. Creating a system is great advice. Getting a 2nd phone or 2nd phone line is a great idea. Sometimes telling a guy that it's not going to work out lasts for only so long then months later he's texting for another chance or for a fake friendship. It's a lot of work to change your number, so it's best that he doesn't have your primary number is the first place. Also, some websites have a reverse phone number lookup and they can find your address that way. Better to be safe that sorry. You never know who has the stalker spirit.

Be blessed! I was actually thinking about this very subject last night and has been roaming in my head for a while. I am so grateful you made and posted this video Tony, the world is getting more scary and discernment is required. You have so directly but humoristically put some things clear for us to take and ponder... it brings the seriousness but also keeps the stress away knowing God is the one who knows and reads the minds hearts and intentions, so we need Him the most and He uses you to bring much of the light we often ignore! Now, I can give men the benefit of the doubt but if I'm not attracted it'll be hard to persuade myself. I don't have a specific preference I just have to be attracted. On the other hand, I always tell a man I'm not into handing my number out do they have an instagram instead. If a man approaches me and there is small talk then in that moment I will feel comfortable to hand over my number. If it's a man who gives me a compliment and asks for my number I usually tell them that I don't like handing out my number like that and do they have an Instagram. Some of the guys made it out the DM's (rare) and majority of them did not. Onto the next.

I turned down a date request because the guy's voice was just way too feminine. I don't know if he was gay and in denial or that is just how he spoke but it just threw me off. I can be a bit judgmental based off first impressions so I should lighten up. I remember one guy I befriended who I thought was awkward and weird at first, but he turned out to have a really good heart. Didn't let things progress though because of his mental health issues.

Same. I was texting a guy back and forth for the longest time and was so excited to meet up with him. (We ran in similar circles in the party world so he wasn’t a stranger). But he was always so quiet and we never talked on the phone. He got in my car and started talking so soft I didn’t even want to go on the date anymore 😔 I was so thrown off because he was tall, dark, and handsome and I expected him to have some base in his voice and it just wasn’t there.

I met a guy online (yeah i know) so we talked about a week. He planned a date to meet up. The day before we talked and he said yes " I cant wait to see that body" I was like huh..(I was immediately turned off) Like why do guys think bringing up anything physical or sexual is cool.( note I never showed my body) Are they that dumb. Well I blocked him smh. So I have to be harsh to men. Oh and he 48 worked out and light skinned lol I do not date good looking guys that like to show there muscles (turn off) but I thought he was different, boy was I wrong lol

Men are something else. When I turned 30 (37 now) I decided that I was no longer going to lie to men and say "I've got a man". I flat out tell them I'm not interested. If they persist then I'll say something like "I appreciate that you took the time to come over, but a relationship is not what I'm looking for now. I'm not in the place mentally and if I take your number I'll just trash it when you walk away, or I'll block you". 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️I still get cursed out, but most times it's the shocked look and an okay in response. Mind you the guys that Always approach are the ones who fit a stereotype😒 flashy car, can hear the subwoofers down the street, yell 'A girl' across the way, sag, have gold teeth, and can't carry a sentence to save their lives. Hahaha. I'm open to the corny and nerdy though. But must have all teeth and unstained. Tony play too much. Lol😁🙋🏾‍♀️
