Black swan is a person who always collects memories that she considers "beautiful and memorable" in this universe, but the "memories" that Black Swan sees from Acheron will make her feel more terrified than ever.
I saw someone mention somewhere that, with the presumed affiliation of Acheron to IX, the "memories" that Black Swan sees are probably giving her a similar experience to when we first meet IX in the Simulated Universe
@darkdude1996ify Nowhere close, IX is described as losing yourself in meaninglessness, while Acheron's memories are violent snd almost attacking black swan.
"When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gays back into you" is how I saw someone else phrase it and honestly, there's probably no better way to describe this video
the red sequence is beautiful for multiple reasons. my favorite being the fact that overlaying this morbid dance is flashing imagery of a swan losing feathers to a serpent. and last picture being a featherless swan gives a good impression on how threatening acheron can be.
The dancing animation was TOP NOTCH!Makes me wonder if they used mo-cap or, perhaps, even rotoscope. Because it's just wild to imagine that they didn't use other means to make those dance moves look very smooth.
Reminds me of real life dating. Man to talking to woman, then later on before she gets an official impression, he suddenly breaks the mental pattern in her mind about him, suddenly validating her for how cool and collected she is, then snowballs the vibe from being one-dimensional to a fun and flirtatious conversation. Predictability and apathy are the death of attraction after all.
I have to admit that Black Swan x Acheron's dance performance was really great,especially the way Acheron gains the upper hand in the final minutes of the dance, it is very "bold and scary", I love this so much!

The ending part took me by surprise and........... I don't know what I can say!
Fun thing to note. At the end of the dance, Black Swan has gone completely limp. Meaning that, even though she survived, and seemingly got away from Acheron's mind, the only reason that she hasn't collapsed is because Acheron STILL has a grip on her. So even though Black Swan gave absolutely everything that she had, just to get away from Acheron and survive, she actually failed. Since Acheron still hunted her down and caught her, even out of the mind scape. Which only makes Black Swan's terror at the end even more valid, since a character that was introduced to seem almost untouchable, literally couldn't even get away from Acheron, without Acheron just letting her
I'm pretty sure it was just supposed to represent how scary Acheron is without trying, Acheron hadn't even noticed what Black Swan had done, she just kept dancing with her while BS caught a glance of IX, something that could completely murk her.
I like how Duke Inferno had his own trailer where he seemed like a credible threat, and Acheron is like "Oh yeah, him. He was a trash mob and I hit auto."
“Black swan knows what she wants and she’s going to get” *cut to 5 minutes later* This animation is soo phenomenal!! The switch up from the beautiful and seductive dance to Acheron just completely ragdolling and finishing the “hunt” The imagery of predation!! From animals to plants to a cell to a black hole!! THE SNAKE KILLING THE SWAN!! It’s all so perfect “I can fix her- HOLY SH-- WRFFF GET ME OUT OF HEEERE”
The Hoyo writers are reeeeeally skirting as close to that Chinese content limit bar as possible *even more* recently with Arlecchino and now this! (And I’m all here for it)
@@Jackson-ub1uvthere is actually a Chinese law that states evil characters are not allowed to be playable. It’s part of the reason why some people think Arelcchino is going to be depicted as a good parent to contrast how evil she’s implied to be through Childe and Wanderer’s voice lines.
@@Shane_A_M That doesn't seem like a realistic law to enforce. Having such a law would remove 50% of content from franchises like LEGO, Star Wars, etc. Immense losses of content like that would _severely_ limit the amount of companies who'd want to sell their games in China, thus giving the country fewer options for revenue.

When Acheron said "Who are the Annihilation Gang," my jaw dropped to the floor. Also, if there are ever animated shorts like this in the future you want to make a reaction video for, I'd totally love to watch those.
Food for thought regarding how terrifying that switch is from Black Swan's perspective: Acheron's emanator form or true self, seems to have noticed Black Swan from INSIDE the memory Black Swan was traversing of that moment Duke got wasted. This would be like seeing something horrifying in a video and then, on the monitor, watching whatever that thing is, turning towards you and actively noticing you noticing it before it haunts the hell out of you in your own house. The whole "be careful when staring into the abyss" motif is beautifully executed here. Their trailers are getting so good.

i know exactly what you mean! when i was a child there were video game magazines that had cds and dvds with video game trailers and cinematics since the internet was not that advanced and i always watched them over and over again because they were sooo amazing and i love it when games like hsr continue to make amazing cinematics that you cant stop thinking about about
It's also a fuc around and find out kind of scene to. Black Swan was playing as if she know what to expect but not worry. The physical thrashing around is kind of like the power dynamic of some couples that like to have a master and pet set up.
if you enjoy the cinematics of the animated shorts you might like watching the honkai impact 3rd ones! if you don't plan to play the game and/or if you haven't already seen them etc ofc

not one of those guys who ship everyone with any kindness they see between two characters... but i feel like this is one of those ships i truly support and agree with, because i actually see the chemestry between the two. Acheron the mentally broken partner, Black Swan the "i can fix her" partner, if this is a canon ship then i'm all for it.

I really enjoy your regular content but the reaction video was really good too! I think if it's something you are interested in doing from time to time, you will still have the support. If you're having a rough week or really busy it could be good to know you can relax and do an easier video.
Ok, to add on for yesterday, after having watched the full last VOD now: Having Natasha as your healer is perfectly fine! Luocha is better, yes, but I finished all content in the past 2 months that I did just with her level 70 (later 80) and a level 60 free Lynx for the second team (just tossed my strongest dps into her team so the enemies would hopefully die before me haah)But yeah, Natasha really carries my main team. Also I recommend you finish all the ongoing events right now, they give a TON of free good items! The TV event especially is really easy, as you can win each fight in A/SS rank just with the borrowed characters and auto-fight, game8 has which characters are best to pick, just in case - I had my stream viewers help me haha. The Hanu event is also really big with lots of jades, and is just made of minigames you already know from Penacony. All those events should have a 5 day counter, so there is plenty of time still, would love to watch you do them live too
Everybody talking about the yuri of this short, but no one be talki about how damn well those two dance! Seriously though...lesbians dancing now has to become a trope NO MATTER WHAT.

Whoever animated the hair, the sound design of the fabrics, the lighting, the music, movement, loves their job or bleeds for it. Also, I find it funny how at 1:23 Swan is "flapping" her arms XD She really thought she was hot shit until she had her feathers plucked bare to the bone.
SPOILERS ALERT FOR PENACONY, PRESS READ MORE AND SCROLL IN YOUR OWN DISCRETION In one of the dialogues, Adventurine hinted that Acheron could either be the Emanator of Finality or Nihility. This would honestly make Acheron's 'sub-conscious' being so defensive while psychologically torturing Black Swan a lot more sense as is the case.
When you have that opinion on "reaction"-type of content, I think you are in the right direction towards good quality genuine "reaction video". Personally i despise reaction-type content when the creator(s) are trying so hard to make a 'reaction' that make it seems unnatural & pushed. Tldr: I just found out about your channel by this video and I'd love to see more of your reaction content :)
Reaction content isn't the problem, it's people that "react" by adding nothing then moving on without saying anything, or those people that put on the video then leave to do something else (not gonna name any names). That's just stealing. Reactions like this video are great cause it's a way to relive the hype of that first viewing through someone else while maybe even getting some new insights!
Hmm what is my reason for wanting to see videos of other people reacting? If they are videos that interest me or the person I'm watching has a personality that I like to see, then I will watch it As a viewer, do I care how much or how little effort it took for said person to make said video? Sigh... my most sincere answer is... "not really" As long as it provides me with a certain degree of entertainment that I find attractive, then I will consume said content That's my 2 cents on the subject, In the end, I trust that after evaluating it in greater detail, you will choose the option that benefits you the most; and from one human being to another, I wish you luck with it Nice video, it was quite pleasant 👍
I think the worst part of this animated trailer is that it probably means Duke Inferno is super dead, there's no way he's recovering from whatever the hell she did to him. RIP my guy, your nonhuman design was too cool for anything but your clothes to make it into the game I guess 😔
