Cant blame The Garden of Recollection members tho. Its their job to collect and preserve memories no matter how dark and cruel the memories are. At least they cant die cus they dont really have a real physical body if im not mistaken. But they can still get violated in other people's memories as we can see what happened to Black Swan 😂
@@remingtonsix5517 Considering that they've been going all "The Galaxy Rangers are not supposed to be around anymore so Acheron's affiliations are suspect" and during the next patch livestream they put a huge emphasis on how much Acheron's abilities were supposed to embody Nihility, I'd say it's not that surprising
I honestly thought at first that Acheron doesn’t remember killing Duke Inferno but heard the name before and thats why she was thinking. But since I am the only one thinking that I am pretty sure I am wrong.
Acheron's VA (Allegra Clark) said herself that the upcoming trailers were gonna be nothing short of legendary, and I can confirm, it definitely lives up to the hype.

@@ichigokage English is literally the only one where she isn't voiced by the same VA though. Like, I love Allegra, and she is doing a phenomenal job here. But acting like it's a stupid reason when literally every other language has set the precedent for it to be the same VA is crazy to me. I can understand the disappointment. That being said Harassing the VA's over it is silly (They aren't the decision makers here) and unacceptable.
I love how Black Swan was taking the initiative and taking the lead, seemingly in control of the dance, until she peered into Acheron and everything flipped and they switched roles. Black Swan went from being the hunter to being the prey in the matter of seconds. This tango between the two was also sooo damn smooth and so good, too!
Not juat that, but Acheron seemly didn't even try nor was she remotely bothered by it. Something about her memories and powers are just that terrifying and powerful
Black Swan fooled herself into thinking she could tease Acheron with a non-violent engagement, assuming that she could somehow maintain control in the memory scape throughout, that BS could set and maintain the tempo. But the moment she peered into Acheron's memories they clawed back at her mercilessly, never giving her a moment's rest as she became bombarded with the raw darkness and violence that haunted Acheron. Acheron being more reserved and emotionally subdued (and seemingly poor memory) isn't a flaw, its a coping mechanism and result of everything she's done so far.
When I saw that, it reminded me of the ouroboros, which connects Acheron to the finality. But it also has Black Hole imagery in there. Could it be that she dual wields the power of two Aeon? How broken is that.
@@TinkRomero Oh I just realized there was an aeon named Ouroboros in the game. I kinda forgot about that. Sorry, but that's not the ouroboros I was referring to. Well, it is said that Terminus moves backward in time right. Idk, I got this image on my mind of the aeon as a snake which eats its own tail and body, the tail and body is the Time itself, and the Head eating its own body is to ensure each moment got it's intended closure. Ouroboros IRL lore is also connected to time and infinity which kinda fits. Idk, maybe i'm just rambling nonsense here.

@@connorradcliffe1769 I don't think it's a side personality. In her trailer, Acheron talks about how "those hazy memories become clearer when I draw my sword". If we go by the theory that Acheron is the emanator of Nihility, then I think Purple Acheron is a "safe mode" where she has limited access to her memories. Which would explain why she has trouble remembering simple things like what number her room is.

Everytime Black Swan touches her with that glow she’s reading her memories. Acheron keeps noticing and almost even appears to warn her, but obviously regrets it.

I do like the fact that Acheron seemed to not mind, and maybe even enjoy, the dance, outside of the little moments where Black Swan was just a little too pushy. It even fits really well with the way they react to each other. Where Acheron is very nonchalant about it, treating it as a relatively pleasant experience. Maybe even wanting to interact with Black Swan more. But Black Swan literally doesn't mention Acheron outside of when it's explicitly necessary, and even seems nervous and probably a little scared of her. Because that was probably the most terrifying experience of her life.
I believe what BS experienced in that dreamscape of hers is her getting killed again and again as those victims that has fallen to Archeon's blade, such horrible experience, can drive literally anyone into madness with that, BS is still alive because all she wants is to peek into her memory so Archeon didn't consider her as a hostile, If she showed even a tiny bit of aggressive behavior Archeon might have ended her right there.
The moments where Black Swan was being very pushy, she was trying to use her powers to access Acheron's memories, which is also why Acheron pulls away at those moments.

One thing to note: at around the 8:08 mark, there were 9 flashes of predator chasing their prey. Acheron is a major follower of Nihility. The name of the aeon: IX.

Black Swan's confidence turning into fear was probably my favorite part(aside from you going through it xD) in this animated short. Also, Acheron with "Annihilation Gang who?" at the end was CRAZY, showing that she is fricking strong clashing with Duke Inferno AND his children. YURI YURI YURI YURI YU- I mean what?! 😅
I'm sure the power difference did make them less memorable as well (in all seriousness it likely only took a single attack), but it's established on our first meeting with Acheron that she has trouble remembering things in the first place.

I think she’s an emanator of nihility. During 8:19 it shows an image of black hole similar to how the aeon of nihility appears to us in simulated universe. It would also make sense if we take Adventurine’s foreshadowing about being an emanator. He listed the hunt and destruction, both paths that revolve around laying waste. The hunt to the abundance and the destruction to… well everything living thing. But there’s another path that involves annihilating everything around. The Nihility, that whether it wants to or not ends up engulfing everything indiscriminately like a black hole.
Makes sense why she doesn't want to draw her blade even when Firefly was about to die because her Nihility emanator powers are probably sealed away inside of that sword. So when she unsheathes her sword, it brings out her emanator powers and since Nihility "engulfs everything indiscriminately like a black hole" like you said, she would end up killing the death meme but also everyone else who was there.
I've thought this too, but IX is said to have no emanators because it thinks everything is meaningless so there'd be no point to spreading their power anyway (there's even a group of people who wish to become emanators of IX by convincing it that life is worth living LMAO). that said, Acheron is also such a unique and mysterious character that I could definitely see IX somehow linking itself to her anyway, if she is indeed an emanator it's for sure for either nihility or finality.

In the stream they said they had to come up with something within nihility. That means they gave her nihility path because she is an emenator of nihility.
Shaoji(don't know if spelled that correct?) said due to unspeakable reason she became nihility so yeah i think her being an emenator would be something they could not just say at that point.
I wonder if she *wields* Nihility but she is not *of* Nihility. Like how Phantylia, a confirmed Emanator, is of Destruction but wielded the power of Abundance in her bossfight. Apparently it's possible to subvert other Paths.
@@bah9541 Nah, acheron definitely nihility and wasn't the reason why Phantylia could do such thing since She taken the Tree of Abundance power into Her and that's not even Her real body so It's possible for Her to take in another Path since It isn't Her body but created by the Stellaron & Tree

For Acheron the only reason she would be an emanator of anybody else besides nihility is that it's confusing as to why she keeps repeating lines in regards to knowing the end and stuff which basically implies or coincides with the aeon of finality, but her having hazy memories contradicts this since thats a trait "exclusive" to people that have made contact with IX or whats gonna happen to you if you make contact with IX. Dying multiple times/time basically bot making sense and having your memories "corroded" as stated at the lore of the debuff set.

I like all of Mina's videos, but this will take a special place. To hear her unravel this way is such a delight, a great spice to an already fantastic animation.
I think the entire video was fabulous. From the initial dance which seemed like a light hearted romantic dance to Black Swan showing her true intentions of interrogating Acheron, and then getting traumatized. Also I am confident she is the Emanator of Nhility because we also got the Black Hole imagery.

I love story telling like this so much. It tells you everything with just the dance and imagery Show don't tell is always a powerful and expressive way to let you know so many details without needing any exposition dumps.
Black swan peared into the abyss (acheron's memories) and when it stared back, she blinked for real though, dance started with black swan as the lead, but the moment she looked into her memories the table's turned, acheron was removing her feathers and was about to consume her.
Well she's apparently an emanator, someone on the same level as Phantylia... and Black Swan boldly was trying to peek into her memories and got burned xD
I've rewatched this video at least 10 times now lol. Mina's reaction is so genuine and hilarious; plus I need to do my part to make this her most viewed video.
