Clear biblical teaching
@jamesmcallister9645
@jamesmcallister9645 Месяц назад
I believed, therefore I have spoken. With that same Spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak. ( To my own shame I had it backwards for 29 years since I first believed, i drifted away from different kinds of teachings in churches and online false doctrines, i believed the lie that you could lose salvation which is doubt from the enemy and the opposite of what Jesus says, I give them eternal life and none shall perish, no-one can snatch them out of my hand. ( NO MORE LIVING IN ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION IF THE SON SETS YOU FREE YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED. GLORY TO GOD. BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE FOR SALVATION.

The question that needs to be asked is why do you believe?? Is there something special about you that made you believe? Or is it god who have given you grace before you believed that made you believe? It’s one of the two!

I couldn’t agree with you more brother. But the question I asked was WHY do we believe.?
@erikkristensson8342
@erikkristensson8342 Год назад
@Alvin Fen That is true! You don’t need to know why. The most important thing is that you believe. But what this video comes down to is that question I think. I don know if I’m a Calvinist or not but Calvin seemed to be biblical. I think we were dead in sin that God is the true seeker. I don’t think I’m wise or special and therefore I Believe, no I think God made me believe and I’m soo extremely thankful and joyful because of that!🎉🎉
@erikkristensson8342
@erikkristensson8342 Год назад
@Alvin Fen Thank you for your time and work. I agree with you almost in everything. It seems like your believes are very close to Calvin. I think it comes down to how you define depraved and also divine illumination. I think divine illumination is the key. Without divine illumination we can’t believe in him. So regeneration precedes faith. And also divine illumination precedes faith. Because before the new birth we were dead and couldn’t respond to God. But when god acted/divine illumination we started to believe in him! We couldn’t have done it without him. I’m not saying that you don’t have to believe but that why you believe is only because of God. I believe God is sovereign and he knows things that are so complex that we will never understand. Like how God is responsible but yet we are responsible for not believing and sining. Romans 9 have helped me with not judging God for thing that’s we can easily assume is Gods fault. But actually is much more complex than we can understand. Job is also a wonderful book that addresses a lot of the same dilemma. My conviction is that I don’t want elevate me but God and make him the greatest and me the smallest. I want to get a view of God which is biblical and a view of man which is biblical. And the more I read God is getting higher and I am getting smaller. I don’t want to trust man and his words I want to trust Gods and his words. And when I look at someone like Calvin I se the same thing. 1Peter 1:24 For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall

@@erikkristensson8342Calvin came out of the Catholic Church & still had their works for salvation going on in his head... he just backloaded them. But still, Calvin rejected that we're saved ONLY by believing on Christ. Hence, Calvin (& Calvinists) are heretics - RUN FROM THEM. That is NOT biblical. The ONLY Way to be saved is to RELY on the Lord's sacrifice. His finished work on the cross, not our on going works of service or discipleship... Jesus warned that MANY will say to Him "Lord, Lord, didn't we phophesy in Your name, cast out devil's in Your name & in Your name do MANY WONDERFUL WORKS?" They're trying to get into Heaven based on their lives the lived for the Lord, their works. And He will tell them, "Depart from Me, I NEVER knew you, you who WORK iniquity." So, they never had the Holy Spirit in them, were never known by the Lord - not for lack of trying but for lack of trusting, they didn't do the will of the Father which is to believe ON the Son. Believing ON - not of, they knew of Him & called Him Lord but they didn't rely on His death, burial & resurrection for salvation. They relied on their service to the Lord, their works of righteousness. We need Christ's imputed perfect righteousness, not our own filthy rags of self-righteousness. Ephesians 1:12-14 shows us that belief means trust & is shows us we're born again (known by the Lord) through that trust. It also shows salvation is permanent, lasts beyond this life. "12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory."

The example of Cornelius in Acts 10 debunks Calvinism's "total depravity/total inability". Cornelius and his family in Acts 10:2 were certainly devout God fearing people who gave alms to the poor and prayed to God on a regular basis, BUT they were not saved until Simon Peter was summoned to bring them the gospel message where they heard it, became convinced, believed and got saved. Cornelius and his family were God fearing BEFORE they got saved. Acts 11:13-14 - 13 He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house and say, ‘Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. 14 He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.’

@@frankiemonato583 Man is depraved, but not to the extent that Calvinism teaches. Calvinism teaches "total inability" where man has no free will and is "incapable" of coming to God and believing the Gospel. You need to read Romans 1:19-20 and John 5:40 where it is clear that man still has the image of God in him and can come to God, but the issue is not that man cannot come, but that man WILL NOT come due to his innate pride, stubbornness, and defiance. Romans 1:19-21 - 19 since what may be known about God is PLAIN TO THEM, because God has made it PLAIN TO THEM. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, SO THAT PEOPLE ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE. 21 FOR ALTHOUGH THEY KNEW GOD, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. John 5:40 - yet you REFUSE TO COME to me to have life.

The gospel is available to all. You hear it, and you either believe it or not. Hear you go. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, BUT A BODY YOU PREPARED FOR ME; This is God's gift to humanity. The death, burial and resurrection of his son. ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES......... For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Sacrifice and offerings were not good enough . THAT'S WHY JESUS CAME. Jesus is truly God and truly man. first of all, the Pharisees and sadducees said in john 10:33 “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere MAN, CLAIM TO BE GOD.” When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, (Matthew 16:13) Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah OR ONE OF THE PROPHETS.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. According to Peter, Jesus is the son of God the MESSIAH not just a prophet. Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: john 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God" (John 1:35)! John may not have completely understood the ministry of Jesus because John expressed some doubts (Luke 7:20) but he understood enough to know that Jesus was that promised Messiah and that there is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood…and ultimately, the blood of the Lamb of God would be required for the complete forgiveness of sins. HE TOOK THE PUNISHMENT THAT WE DESERVED FOR BREAKING GOD'S LAW 2nd corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin. The bible says that when Jesus rose from the dead While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence. He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that IS WRITTEN ABOUT ME in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” JESUS ATE JUST TO PROVE TO HIS DISCIPLES THAT IT WAS REALLY HIM( HE WAS DEAD BUT NOW HE IS ALIVE) JESUS DIED IN THE FLESH NOT IN THE SPIRIT. ALL OF US ARE GOING TO DIE ONE DAY IN THE FLESH BUT OUR SPIRIT WILL LIVE FOREVER IN HEAVEN WITH JESUS OR IN THE LAKE OF FIRE. JESUS SAID I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE no one comes unto the father except through me. The question is who do you say HE is. In Hebrews 1:8 God the father calls Jesus God. JESUS SAID I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE, collasians 2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, collasians 1:19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, john 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. Jesus is eternal HE made everything He even shares the glory with the Father that He has aways shared with him. AS A MATTER OF A FACT JESUS SAYS In john 16:15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. WHO CAN MAKE SUCH A STATEMENT BUT GOD HIMSELF. JESUS ALSO SAYS Many will say (TO ME)on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then( I WILL) TELL THEM PLAINLY, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ JESUS IS GOD, and He WILL JUDGE. BELIEVE. If you believe in Jesus, his death burial and resurrection according to the scriptures, YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. AND THE SPIRIT OF GOD LIVES IN YOU.

John 3:16. Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it. First John 2:2. And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. But, John 3:18. Believers are no longer condemned, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God. Romans 1:16. Galatians 2:21. Romans 11:6. Free gift. GODLY SORROW BRINGS REPENTANCE THAT LEADS TO SALVATION WITHOUT REGRET, but WORLDLY SORROW BRINGS DEATH. Consider what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what zeal, what vindication! In every way you have proved yourselves to be innocent in this matter.… New Living Translation GALA 2:16 Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” 28Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” 29Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” Well the only thing required is to believe and never stop believing. IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN GOD AND THE TESTIMONY THAT HE HAS GIVEN ABOUT HIS SON ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. THE SPIRIT OF GOD LIVES IN YOU. YOU ARE NO LONGER A SLAVE TO SIN. YOU ARE A NEW CREATION, AND YOU WILL BE FRUITFUL. You can REPENT LIKE GOD DID in Jonah 3:10 KJV "And God saw their WORKS, that they TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAY; and GOD REPENTED of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not." Even before the law, turning from your evil way - God says is a WORK. Keeping the Law is also called a work, works of the law. Are we saved by works? Can the law bring life? Did Christ die in vain? No! Repent just means change your mind, it doesn't mean stop sinning. Catholics made that up. Do you realize that to repent "of your sins" (which is impossible to do completely in this body with a sinful nature) means to do WORKS OF THE MORAL LAW OF MOSES: THE 10 COMMANDMENTS? To be saved, we trust in Christ. We do not repent "of our sins" to be saved, we repent CHANGE OUR MINDS from being disbelieving to be believing... Rely on the finished work of Christ for the free permanent gift of salvation. You need to repent of your religion! I use to be just like you! You'll be damned if you don't! We SERVE the Lord by trying not to sin & loving others. It's discipleship not salvation. Discipleship is COSTLY, salvation is FREE.

@Jewels' Genius For Jesus: Pinky Toe Body Of Christ Repenting and turning away from sin means a recognition of my sins, which involves Godly sorrow and a commitment on my part to change the direction of my life. Repentance is not an emotion. Its more than being grieved or feeling sorry about my sin and even having remorse. God wants the person to make a decision of the heart and mind [the will] to turn away from sin. Your life was going in one direction [sin] and you make a decision by faith to take your life in the opposite direction with His help. It is making a genuine 180° change of heart recognizing that sin(s) is against God. By turning from our sins to God we acknowledge we have disobeyed God. We have violated His law, offended his moral purity, tried to cast off his yoke of authority. It requires that we admit we have turned from God to sin.That is faith. Repent means change your mind about your sinfulled life ALL SINS INCLUDING UNBELIEF,false gods,witchcraft,self righteousness etc. After repentance there must be a genuine change of life because living in sin is disobedience and rebellion against God and the end result will be destruction of the soul in hell. There must be a change in conduct and how you live. You don't have to remember every sin, Jesus knows them all. Confess ongoing sins, and ask for deliverance of them and forgiveness of all sins. (1 John 1:9) Repentance turning from sin - is a prelude to holiness. Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy, without holiness no one will see the Lord. Walking in holiness begins with repentance.We should think about it as a lifetime daily discipline of our faith , necessary for a holy life. None of us are sinless. God is not a man that He can sin. Jonah 3:10 When God saw what they had done and how they had put a stop to their evil ways, he changed his mind and did not carry out the destruction he had threatened. They repented of their evil deeds, Just like we must so we will not be cast into the lake of fire.

@Jewels' Genius For Jesus: Pinky Toe Body Of Christ The Catholics did not make up repenting of sin thats been God's idea that started in the Old Testament and continued in the new testament starting with John the Baptist and the when Jesus started His earthly ministry His first command was to Repent. Then Peter and Paul both preached repentance. As a former Catholic they ate correct with the absolute requirement to repent of sin, where they go wrong is in several areas. First we repent of sin only to Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus. 1 John 2:1-2 1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. They are wrong about praying the rosary and praying to Mary or asking Saints for protection. Do you believe that God does not change?
