Action Cycle in TULSA got the TRIPLES before any other shops. Hoodoo Howard(owner) put a 500cc Kawasaki triple in a FLATTRACK FRAME. 3 compression releases to help with any braking needs! I was into competition but. Never rode it.'maiden voyage.... Up the road by the shop, towards Sheridan rd. The rider came FLYING . hit the. compression releases THEN the rear brake. The drive chain broke! Went into a ditch , bailed off And the bike cleared the 4 lane and there was an empty lot with 1 BIGASS TREE .the bike missed all traffic ,then NAILED that tree! I was about 16 yrs. Old NOW wish I had a camera.PS. the rider came away with some broken bones . But lived to tell the tale.
Brings back great memories, I had an 18"over chopper moped in 1990, it was a joy to ride! Based on a Garrelli monza GT, would do 60 mph, 2 stroke 50 cc, I still have it!!👍😎
I recommend You this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VeA6LVfqFEk.html I saw this bike in a previous state in Sirok Bike Week in Hungary, in 2002. István Gugyella won many prizes with this bike. It's not only an awesome bike. It is used by István every day! (The music is one of my favorites: Blues Company: Útember - the bike and the music both are hungarian.) We in Hungary love Jawas!
@Rocky Mullins - Back in the '70s when the UK magazine "Motorcycle Mechanics" still existed they took a Kwak 500 triple, H1-E with a 2" longer swinging arm, fitted a 19" rear wheel & tyre, longer rear shocks & clip ons. With the intent of putting more weight on the front end. Also a bigger tank for more range & won the 500 Production Race @ the IoM, TT !
I used to smoke a tricked out one with my TZ-400 cafe bike. Every single time he tried to stay with me he seized it,and made some more road rash. Worst cooling in the lnown world. Only one I have ever seen live past a hard run had custom sleeved custom machined barrels.
