People like Omar make me want to cry for how kind they are. Amazing video. I’m so late to catch this amazing journey you guys have done. This channel is amazing but it’s now missing a key member as I caught it late.

It was interesting to see how this Apiarist (bee keeper) took the caps off the comb. One of my grandfathers kept bees and used what he called a 'capping knife' which was a single large blade that rested against the wood frames surrounding the comb and took all the caps off in one pass. He merely heated it in boiling water first.

What a fantastic and fun video! I missed this one somehow but found it now, so am happy! My wife and I were saying that we hope you will keep the opening scene as part of your intro when you get the new boat. It's so original and just cool! It's still just hard to get used to the idea that the boat is gone. She certainly served you well up to the last hours! I hope Kimmi gets back soon! I'm sure you miss her like crazy! I have traveled extensively in the Caribbean, Central- and South America as part of my job. You are speaking so much truth here! Not that there aren't amazing women out there, but to find one like Kimmi is rare and I'm sure James is fully aware of the gold he has found in her. Your comment comes from the heart and it's one of the nicer ones I've read, not that they aren't all great, but I'm sure Kimmi appreciates it too! I got lucky to find a great woman as well and have been married to her for 18 yrs. now. We didn't get married until we were in our mid 30's and she is my best friend. One of the things I love about my wife is that other beautiful women don't intimidate her. As long as a person has a beautiful soul, the outside will be the same, and vice versa. A woman can have the looks and not be as beautiful on the inside. That's never pretty. I hope you have found your beautiful woman. You obviously know one when you come across one! Peace!

stick with it you 2 you have the right stuff/ special jujuj to become huge RU-vidrs. Vaga is at 1.5M you will surpass them if you persevere. you are tough as nails, beautiful people, and creative. The honey man obviously has too much honey. At least his own honey anyway. I used to have a hive, and it was good, clover honey, with a little wild flowers some times. It was much like that place but a little more north latitude. I loved it, but I'm not sure how they would do where I am now, it is so very hot in the summer. Possibly good, I do not know. Today I had purchased some great sourdough whole wheat bread, some of the best I've had, and the honey got me going, I just had some on sour dough and wow, so tasty. Yes, the scene from 00.00 to 2.00 was absolutely amazing. Such a great beautiful part of the video , and so unique, I do not think I've seen it from a sailors viewpoint ever ! Thanks guys, priceless. Really enjoying watching your videos, I cant help but feel inspired seeing what you're doing and gaining the experiences that you've gotten (so far) and cant help but feel an urge to want to do similar things. Of course its a long road ahead and not a sort term goal, but seeing others fulfill their own goals and living a different kind of "successful" life, the kind that focuses more on building a wealth of experiences and connections that are meaningful and memorable. This Mistry is solved by the statues name, moai and the location base name dongshanzaiqi. It sounds exactly moai: 默哀，literally in English: silent tribute, and dongshanzaiqi: 东山再起, literally in English: Arise again and comeback in Victory. In this case, it indicates that the people who first came here on the island were people that survived from the war and they fled in a long journey to finally arrived here to build the statues in memory of those sacrificed their lives during the war between different kingdoms or empire change in the ancient China.

I watched the "New Boat choosing" video yesterday. I have a crazy idea, buy a cat with NO motors. Do a Tesla or Nissan Leaf conversion with a diesel generator as back up.Imagine that every time you sail you could be charging batteries with props turning as generators. Never stranded or without power. Maybe it is too much to consider. I hope that you find the boat that is perfect for you and 2X equity. Thank you again for taking us on your journeys. Much love.

There are statues all around the island and they all facing inland. Except for 7 statues that are looking in the direction of Hiva, the island where they came from during the ninth century.

Question: If you have a boat with extremely low draft is it legal to anchor right near the shore in most places?

It's... not really looked upon greatly. Plus it leaves you very vulnerable to people coming and trying to get on your boat, with whatever intentions. It's not commonly done unless there is some kind of necessity (i.e. repair, paint, scrape, storm, etc.)
