So for those who don't understand that Miyazaki does interviews in other country's outlets and not only Japan this is the link to the interview which is in CHINESE zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/694720699
So basically, his Japanese was translated to Chinese in the interview, then his Japanese was translated to English from the Chinese in the interview? lol that's hilarious
After playing ER with open world , i want other new soul like game to have open world as well. Its so cool to explore around doing side quest or find secrets and not always have to fight and get gud on boss pattern to proceed new area like dark soul. I like being able to just exploring without fighting like it give us option wether to fight or just exploring
I found it empty and boring for at least half the time. It was cool at first seeing things in the distance and heading there only to realize most of what i found was pointless shit i would never use or a ridiculous "quest" that made zero sense. There's plenty from can do to enhance these games in an open world without ruining that souls feel. A quest list would kill nobody. A map that filled in with as you explore would help a ton as well. Also, the dungeons desperately need better items and they need to be randomized. Otherwise the first play through is the only good one imo
I share the same sentiment as you: let's get the DLC and move on. Can't wait for the next game, they're so magical and addictive I wish we could get a new game every year.
As cool as the interview(Miyazaki playing other souls likes) was there doesn't seem to be anything we don't already know. Hopefully we get a trailer soon
From a lore perspective, him straight up revealing that St. Trina will appear is actually quite wild. Him also revealing that “characters that player know indirectly” Will appear (im assuming he means people in item descriptions like Gloam Eyed Queen, Godwyn, Miquella, etc.) is also pretty new information we hadn’t known as well
@@HeevaEgo Yeah, but if you watched lore videos you kinda put two and two together anyway. It's nice to get conformation, but it wasn't exactly a massive revelation.
@@HeevaEgo no one gives a shit about lore in an action rpg game centered around gameplay and exploration. If Miyazaki focused more on lore than gameplay you lore dorks wouldn’t even be playing the game
@joshprimegaming Wait, the Chinese have access to Dark Souls and Elden Ring? I thought they didnt, hell. They dont even have xbox. Everything is suppressed. So im surprised
I agree!!! There are soooo many storylines and characters that they could easily continue forward and release x number of DLC’s at various sizes. I understand that they may feel like they’re getting bogged down by working on the same game for so many years in a row.
The best & hardest non-FROM one I've played, tho havent played Lies of P yet. Would love to see Miyazaki play Surge & or at least hear his view on the sci-fi take
Oh no it wasn't that usual smug, smirking nintendo simp was it ? That guy's gotten more than enough coverage. There's gotta be some other content you can make without that guy. Who knows maybe you guys are partnered up now & he just spews nonsense for a cut, in which case I guess I can respect the hustle heheh
Cool video, thanks for the information! And yeah, it's impossible to measure Souls games, especially Elden Ring, by "how many hours" they take. My first playthrough took 60 hours, and subsequent playthroughs have taken 2 to 5 hours now that I know what I'm doing. Then you have people who do every cave and every sidequest going over 100 hours, it varies too much for that to be a good question!
I wish Miyazaki and the developers at fromsoftware weren't so cagey about how they choose to play the game. I get that if they told people how they played their games, that some might consider that the only ‘right’ way, but fuck man I wanna know if Miyazaki just Mimic tear Zweihänder stunlock unga bunga's Malenia or if he expertly dodges every waterfowl with an Uchi
Hearing along with Mohg defeat. Is it also Starscurge defeat for dlc access? Half way there. Have 5 great runes activated from bosses. Working on Fire Giant and trying to get to Mohg. Gonna kill DungEater soon.
As a long time Soulsborne gamer, I was initially disappointed in the ability to tweak the difficulty setting with this DLC. But, I know From Software will deliver as always. And it’s going to be epic regardless of this new element.
My first playthrough of Elden Ring was 120 hours… and I basically played it full time for 2 months 😂I own my own business and am blessed to be doing well - literally became my life for those months… First game to do that to me in 15 years
Elden Ring is my first souls game ever. I spend 40h in Limgrave. It took me 150h to finish the game. Twas a legendary adventure. I am now at 300h playing thro ng+ and fresh normal playthros.
Not sure considering this expansion will be doing something different which is adding a certain unique upgrade that makes your character a bit stronger each time you upgrade it but only in the dlc world! I’m not sure exactly how this work!
Bloodborne had the greatest dlc I’d ever played. The fact that I’m even slightly worried this might take that tells you all you need to know about not only my trust in Fromsoft, but the quality of the game in general, this is about to be historic
I think that most spells should be a skill on staffs, but they are unaffected by dex so all cast at default speeds. Trade of being you do not get to use heavy charge spells, but you do get to use them all while jumping.
@@valentinvas6454 Its not near the quality of their older games like DS and BB +its for new players i just don't like it unless the DLC change my mind which i think it will because i know what from soft DLC mean
Sekiro and Bloodborne are my favorites as well, but if they were to make either of those with the size and scope of ER, it would certainly be my new favorite. ER is a bit too big, but i dont really want them to go back to the linear style of the older games. I think something in the middle is the way to go.
You saying that sekiro and blooborne are your favorites and if they make it a size like ER would be your favorites then the next sentence is a bit big :D. Honestly the bigger the better in my eyes. You have so much freedom and i dont want to pay 30+ euros to play a 30h linear story game. First playtrough of ER was 90hours ive finished it a lot more and every time i find something new. That is why in my eyes ER is the best one
@@nWbula1 let me rephrase: if Fromsoft were to make a spiritual sucessor to Bloodborne or Sekiro (say Bloodborne 2, or Sekiro 2) and made it with the size and scope of ER, I would like those games better than their predecessors... which are my current favorites. Makes perfect sense to me
@@ArtOfDyingWell its a new interview, it was posted yesterday. If you are not happy with miyazaki's answers write him a letter complaining. I'm just the messenger
@@joshprimegaming Dude did you really hide my comment? YT creators are the most fragile people ever. Unsubbed, I don't have time for this schoolyard crap
Limb targeting in the Surge games and the combat and skill system of the Nioh games are some of my favorite systems. Nioh (1&2) combat is just a whole different beast and it’s so enjoyable with a very high skill ceiling.
i swear if they don't fix the ultrawide support with the dlc drop i'm never buying another from soft game despite how i love them. there's no excuse for lack of support for uwd.
