Bullets of mercy is fun for me. I like the playstyle of comboing with status effects, works great with crossbow and stun sweeper, or cryo grenade for insane damage. But the mag size reduction is really annoying. Haven't got AI Stability Engine yet. But it seems like this is the intended playstyle for GK2, just a super accurate, no recoil assault rifle that works specifically on hitting weakpoints.
Its less relevant to scout since he has the grappling hook, but one thing that i do love about the special powder and its equivalent for the grenade launcher is having a 'fuck you, i'm outta here' button to get you out of a crowd
Hot take, but i really enjoy Burst Fire. Yes, the DPS is lacking, and it does need a slight damage buff, but otherwise, I really like it. Feels like its how the GK2 was meant to be. Love your guides, man!
If it had +1 penetration I would agree. Like it's implemented it just chews even more ammo than base GK2 and that is really nothing the gun needs. AI is still better in DPS while making you conserve ammo by placing your shoots right and reducing your firerate. Bust fire is just another useless OC for the most underperforming gun in the game. Very sad that even after the buff it just lacks in everything.
The GK2 really needs any form of better crowd control. Eighter an AoE option or penetration OC. Would be better if said option was in the skill tree, but it was rebalanced a while ago, so I don't see really that. Like it is, it's still not fit for the job. I am working currently on the weapon maintenace and I still think it is a chore to play with it. The only mission type were it is usefull is Elimination and maybe Industrial Sabotage. But for high dps M1000 or Zukov are still better. It has still the worst performance in Scouts loadout and it is still the worst gun in the game, even Subata now has its use and an AoE explosion and it's still just a secondary so it is easy to ignore. But GK2 I just hate to run it and run out of ammo after every damn wave
I looked through GK2's OCs and perks just now and there is really no reason why +1 penetration couldn't be added as an option in tier 4 or instead of tier 1|2 or tier 5|2. Why are there still two options for firerate? why not make it one perk with +3 dakka? GSG please for the love of Karl... the GK2 would not be OP with that, just useable
I’ve had good results with electrifying reload due to being able to slow down front lines very quickly. I ended up staying with it as my main build specifically because it helped me best with crowd control but I’m not a particularly talented fps player in general so I’m sure there are other options that could be better to better players
