In Liberty WA you find the wire gold. Very common in that area. Very close to the source. They have had time to smash down

Went out dry washing near Randsberg,CA area last weekend. We did great with the amount of fine gold and nuggets was impressive. I’d like to thank both you and boulder dash for the does and don'ts of drywashing. Coming from crevicing and using a sluice to just detecting and dry washing is a world of difference being you can’t just flop in the river to cool off . Cans with solder in the center are very old, that is how they used to seal up food cans along time ago.. until they discovered it was poisonous for humans! It's probably from the 1800's.. nice find !!! And nice gold guys!!!

You guys tried in Arivaca close to Mexico border ? I read in this book about placer gold and it's the first location mentioned in the book. So I assume it might contain a good gold.

I notice a lot of your videos you use the gold bug 2. Would the plain gold bug be adequate for nugget hunting on a budget ? I know to some worrying over a few hundred bucks seems weird but I am disabled and on strict budget but I need a hobby to keep me moving esp when we go to the desert this winter. I been looking at gas powered augers and shovels, could they possibly dig in areas like this? Hard ground. They make augers for the hand held umits as large as 12" and 16" with many extensions, you could go 10'. Plus deep! You would need to clearthe hole somehow! In theory you could go 20+feet if you can pull nthe auger out with dirt! I was thinkng of drilling through the cover testing for pay dirt! To find gold around here you got about 80-250 miles to drive from my house! And it's mostly tourist attractions! The gold mines sre panned out or brought out! With plans for big company mining in one or two! As far as i know there isnt much gold on the east coast most of it was gone around,1800, there was a nugget weighing 12 or 17 POUNDS FOUND HERE. in the late1790's and was use for a door stop for many years! Imsgine a gold (what do yo call a chunk that big. Nugget just don't feel right! It's like the question how big does it got to be, to be a nugget, only what comes after nuggets,?) I guess it can be called a gold boulder! Anyway imagine finding s gold boulder +/- a couple pound from being 15 lbs then it being a nugget, it's gotto be worth nearly a million in today's money!
