As a beginner of the ukulele this was so complicated as I don’t know the chords as yet. But it is a beautiful version and would love to be able to play it. Give me a year and hopefully it will be a piece of cake lol.
is it the same chords in verse? i mean.. is that chords you've gave same as the whole song?? ps. by the way i'm a beginner here in ukalele! love your version of amazin grace! God bless you.☺
As always well done playing and your instructions are clean and easy to follow. Unfortunately I think your going to cost me some money. I think I want to buy another tenor ukulele and put a low g on it so I can switch back and forth.
@@LaraMarkowitzMusic I've been trying so hard and often, but the E and A string are mute and sound awful. Is there any alternative for this bar chord? I can play everything else thanks to your wonderful detailed tutorial. Everything but the bar chords
@@67angie Sure thing, if you'd like to skip the bar chords then in measure 8 you could pick the 10th fret of the 1st or 1st & 2nd strings, and similarly in measure 15 you could pick the 7th fret of the 1st or 1st & 2nd strings. You'll want to pick only the strings that you're fretting so they won't be played as an arpeggio. Hope this helps!
@@LaraMarkowitzMusic I hope so, too. I tried to cheat on the bar chord by placing my fingertips on each string instead of barring them. (On the 10th fret: Pinky on A string, ringfinger on E, middlefinger on C in the 11th fret, pointer finger back in 10th fret on the G string). The sound was way better but it took ages to place my fingers. 😂 You would have finished the song by the time I had them down.
Thanks so much Stan, I'm glad you're enjoying my lessons! Amazing Grace is short and quite simple so it didn't take me long to create this arrangement - it was probably a few hours. Sometimes I spend days or weeks on an arrangement. It can depend on the length and complexity. Thanks for the question!
@@LaraMarkowitzMusic thanks for your reply. I'm not a musician. That said and hind sight being 20/20 I wish I had been more inclined, while growing to to adult, to learn more about music. I enjoy my ukulele, been strumming about a year but I want to progress. Im hoping I can do that with your teaching. Im thinking of joining your sight.
@@stanrokusek7460 Great to hear that you've been playing for a year. It's never too late to get started and many of my subs and patrons are just starting to play uke in their 60's, 70's, and 80's. I'd love for you to join my Patreon! You'll definitely see progress with consistent practice :)
Hi there, this is a great melody for beginner chord melody/fingerstyle students. With the slow tempo of the song and the easy chord of C, this arrangement is a beautiful learning tool for uke players who are entering the world of chord melody and perhaps just learning how to read tablature. This wouldn't be for brand new beginners who are new to the instrument but it is a simple beginner level fingerstyle arrangement.
