Wow! That is cool!! Definitely more shoe repairers in Korea than in Hong Kong, when I was visiting my family there in April. An update Tom--Korean school are currently contacting my referees for written and spoken referrals. On the move. If I get the job will be in Korea early January :))

Dude for most people over here it is incredibly difficult to find what you need....yeah that's nice if you happened to walk by on your way to work, but who here has a dang website in English that works where you find stuff. case in point..there is a mom and pop hardware shop here in Incheon and I need a large screw for one fo the electronic devices I have..I went to the mom and pop shop and they didn't Have it, I used the korean word and asked them in Korea if they knew of any other shops , they said no sorry, I walked around about two blocks away and tried to look up this other store that I had possibly seen a few months ago...they didn't have ANY screws either and it was a lighting fixture store.....chirst almighty ....yeah I know though...'get a korean to do it for you' yeah that gets old real fast........ no wonder houses here are decorated like plane jane crap...pictures of the love motels have better interior design.....christ

No different than those in corporations who live in their cubicle's. Actually these folks in the video have fresh air and are using their hands which seems more appealing than office lights.

That's a good question. I think it depends on the guy. It's pretty streamlined and homogeneous here, but you'll see some Koreans with foreigners from time to time. I'm from South Florida and I love latin women...does that count?!

Are there really that many people wearing repairable shoes in Korea? I live in the United States, but the majority of the shoes worn in my area are rubber soles and can't be repaired.

I never said they don't like foreign people. Maybe something was misconstrued?

한국에서는 큰 길가가 있는 도로라면 양방향에 몇군데씩 이런 구두수선소가 있죠 :) 길을 가다가 굽이 망가진다거나 하면 당황할 것 없이 바로 근처의 수선소를 찾아가면 됩니다. 그리고 한국에서는 요즘 결혼관이 많이 바뀌어서 꼭 한국 여자가 아니더라도 크게 문제가 되지 않아요
