I also received an LP4 from Laserpecker about the same time. I am generally pleased with it but it does have good and bad aspects. It is excellent for engraving wood, plastic and metals. It is not so good for cutting plastic as it needs several passes to get through and leaves edges rather burnt. Cutting thin plywood is okay as long as the parts are quite small. The problem with larger parts is that the edges are cut at quite a steep angle. At the full extent, the laser and material form almost an equilateral triangle so the edges will be cut at close to 60 degrees. Not so good if you want to make things like wooden boxes. Where the LP4 excels though, is engraving fine details, here it outperforms my gantry laser engraver hands down. I added the rotary attachment to my LP4, this was a bit expensive but makes it great for engraving round objects like drink bottles and glasses. At well over a grand, it is an expensive toy, but worth it if you can put it to work making you some pocket money. Also worth mentioning is that, unless it is sited near a window or door, you will need a decent extractor or air cleaner to eliminate the smoke and fumes.
