Amazon alexa has no built-in battery so it cannot function when there is a power cut, so here I tried to run it on portable charger or power bank. The video is about me try to see if Amazon alexa echo dot works with a power bank in India.

hey please tell me if echo dot gen 3 can work on powerbank? i know it supports only 5.5mm jack, bt what it i buy a 5.5mm cable with usb port and connect to powerbank , will it work then???? please reply im going to buy in few days

Very good question. I've just checked and it is not possible to do this with gen 3 since it doesn't have a usb connector.

Nope I didn't because the gen 3 does not have micro USB connector to connect it to power bank.

I just replaced my echo dot adapter. Get a 12V 1.25/1.5 A adapter from any electrical spare parts shop. It works with echo dot 3!
