On today's adventure we explore the new Amazon HQ2 campus that just opened up in Arlington. It is called Metropolitan Park, and it is just getting started with much more to come. We cover the delay of Amazon HQ2 phase 2, the new revamped Crystal City Water Park coming soon, and the brand new park right in the center of phase 1.
As Amazon HQ2's beehive building is delayed, the first phase of Amazon HQ2 opens up in National Landing / Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. The area is centered around the new Metropolitan Park aka Met Park which features a variety of community-focused features like playgrounds, sidewalks, parkland, and a bunch of new retail & restaurant establishments.

Looks good so far. Hope the timelines aren’t pushed too far out as tends to happen with these types of projects.

Yeah, the Crystal City water park looked fairly completed, a lot of the big structures were in, but it may have a little ways to go. The new Met Park is up and running hopefully the restaurants come in soon. And the new new Amazon hive, is gonna take forever, and they haven't even started it.

That is the address of the building they haven't started yet. Which is why I couldn't find it. I was looking in the wrong place. That spot hasn't begun.

Where is the banana stand?, I've seen it on the news, but haven't seen it at HQ2.

There was a lady pushing it down the street. So I saw the actual stand in front of the Shops at Crystal City 1770 Crystal Drive or whatever. It was a push cart, so she was moving from location to location possibly. The truck is right there on the campus and it looked like it could have been a food truck but I think its just where they pull out the stand from.
