Apologies for this being a bit rushed! Didn't even talk about Amon Sul, although I essentially would have said the same about Amon Sul as I did about Fornost and Annuminas.
everyone is freaking out about Numenor but what about all the empty space south of Harad! Like that would be awesome if they had some storylines in Harad and south, it looks like there's fainted rivers and hills so hopefully.
Very good analysis! Can't wait for this series and hope we will get another map tomorrow! Also that's exactly what I think! Pretty sure they will do Last Alliance (the ring verse hints to that) and Fall of Arnor. This series has so much potential!
Some one Something well of course this is in the 2nd age. 1.) Beleriand is gone so you know the 1st age has passed. 2.) I’m so curious as to why people are assuming this story won’t actually be about Sauron and the forging of the rings of power when Sauron is in fact the lord of the rings?
@@taurion87 I didn't said that it's they made us think that it is first age. At the beginning they said that they don't have the rights to the Silmarillion and any other book except LotR. Then they said that it is about a young Aragorn. Then they release maps clearly showing that it's the third age. And suddenly they f*ck every thing they have said by posting a map of Numenor. Even now they have posted "what appendix should I read for the Tolkien reading day?appendix A or B?" Which made me wonder about them using these two appendices as sources for the series. And I included Eregion on the map which is related to Sauron.
The dunedain also spoke elvish. The faithful actually distinguished themselves I believe by continuing to speak elvish and you can read in the lord of the rings that the dunedain still spoke a form of elvish language late into the third age so maybe not necessarily focused on elves
With the recent release of the map of Numenor is seems this series may span most of the second age, my guess would be from the decline and eventual fall of Numenor to the war of the Last Alliance. Perhaps the series will have an Elven protagonist, through which we see all of these events unfold.
I'm well read on Tolkien but all of the different rights to different books and appendices confuse me.....could someone explain how much gil galad one should expect?
