I would love a series on organization! i am obsessed with being organized, colour-coded, alphabetized, and things in reverse chronological order! I'd like to reorganize my plates and bowls but in a small rental kitchen, it's a tight fit. I am using an antique dresser to store items in and it gives the kitchen such character when you walk into my apartment. Plus it's got a mirror on top and doubles as my entry way piece as you walk into the kitchen when entering my apartment.
.... I also have a kitchen that is poorly laid out, and short on storage, due to the lack of thought with the lay out . I use a 55 " long Buffet piece, it's a vintage piece that has 2 large drawers ,and a shelf inside on the bottom portion, with three doors on it. The top is painted, as is the entire piece, and I created zones on the top of it, using trays to corral items. Tea, coffee, sugar, spoons, etc are all on a tray , as is daily used glassware, on a different tray . A pretty lamp, silk roses, and a fragrance warmer helps it feel less like " extra storage in a kitchen ".
Perfection! I’m in the middle of reorganization every single cabinet door, drawer, closet, etc in my home, it is freeing! More like this please Julie!👏👏👏👏👏👏💕💕💕
EXCELLENT advice and examples. I'm a retired designer and professional organizer.... (yes, you can be both) and to me, good interior design always incorporates appropriate organization and storage. Anyone can make good storage happen in their kitchen... just watch Julie's presentation 2-3 times and then put it into action!
I like to store any lidded storage items with their lids on. They stack well and you don't end up with a junk drawer of mystery lids. As a bonus, you avoid the frustration of nested items, the mess of everything you riffle through trying to match container with lid, and it's really obvious when items have outlived their usefulness. This has worked really well as we've been phasing out plastic in favour of glass, too.
I have watched a lot of organisation videos & this has the best of everything included in it, plus a few extra hints & tips that were awesome like keeping everything together to prepare a meal / bake all in one place. A great video 👍🏼
I’ve been watching organizational kitchen videos for a few hours now. My kitchen is being remodeled so I thought I could use some tips. I must say you have been the most valuable. Thank you so much. I like the way you gave so many options and visually showed all the examples. I also like the way you have the upper end custom-made all the way down to the DIY and using what you have. All those things can comingle really well. Awesome job❤
we are just finishing a kitchen remodel, so this video has perfect timing. I am laying out my pantry and what it will include and also my kitchen cabinets and drawers to make the best use of my space all around the kitchen.
Map it all out on a floor plan like I did in the video Camille. Really helps to see it on paper so you can design the perfect drawer/ cabinet combinations for your needs 👍🏻☺️

My entire life and home has changed with a toddler. She’s taken over as you can imagine and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Love this idea for a new video 🙌🏻☺️

They are pretty organized but I have to sets that are so “useless” because they are too high and they are not properly built. Anyhow, I am going to put away the liquids I have next to the stove. So many great ideas! Please keep this series going. We will be remodeling/moving to our 1925 condo in a couple of years. There is a small butler's pantry between the kitchen and dining room that we plant to turn into a coffee/tea station, adding a small bar sink. Love the ball jar idea for teas or maybe spices.
Yes! The organization series would be wonderful. My kitchen has 2. Reg size drawers and 3 tiny drawers. I've had to get creative with utensils. All dishes in cabinet. 3 sets of everyday dishes. We use them all. Large family! My family enjoys your wonderful videos ❤

I just discovered small metal/ magnet hooks. I only have a 5" wide metal area of my fridge near my stove. I put them there & hang my tongs, strainers etc. Works well!
This video has been extremely helpful!!! We are designing our kitchen cabinets and storage areas right now for our retirement home! You showed me ideas that I didn't know existed and since we are getting custom made cabinetry, I should be able to use any of them that fit my needs!

HEY Julia love this video. I needed it, but every time I try to organize my kitchen it does work very well. My kitchen is small and I do not have a lot of space for pots and pans. I purchased the top holders but the pots are kept on the side of my stove, which isn't too bad. But I'll keeping watching until I figure out a few more things Thanks again

Thank you! I just moved and between unpacking and awkward storage, it's chaos. I need to reassemble the kitchen in it's entirety, but the deep upper corner "junk" cabinet and the appliances that didn't fit in the peninsula need the most work. I love your storage ideas! Especially using the inside of upper cabinet doors .... which I will use for magnetic spice containers (3”circles??) and the measuring cups/spoons). I also live the bathroom medicine cabinet for oil storage. YES I would definitely like to see storage ideas by room!
I enjoy your channel, Julie. I would like to mention that herbs and spices should also be stored away from heat and light (for the same reason as oils, vinegar, balsamic glazes, extracts, and infusions). I make a business of blending spices and making previously mentioned liquid flavouring products, and I cringe when I see these types of food items stored above or beside a source of heat, or on the counter - especially if they are not frequently used up. Thanks for the time and effort put into producing your videos :)
