Amazon Prime THEM Season 1 is a Disgusting and Exploitative Mess. 

How can it go so wrong? I made it through the first 2 episodes but don't think so can watch anymore. The production values are outstanding, the sets are beautiful and there are some very good actors. The horror genre has served throughout the history of cinema as a vehicle for cultural and social commentary, sometimes on subversive or taboo subjects. In this series they hijacked the horror genre and held it hostage to a storyline that completely lacks any subtlety or nuance. It was so ham handed that the actors were reduced to cartoon characters. Who's making this stuff and why are they allowed to?

This review is garbage. Its a horror anthology series. Of course the main family is going to suffer

MAAAAAAN Yall soft. THEM was real! This show didn't just show the sad life of a black family in the 40's/50's, It showed some trauma for white people too I noticed but Come on. This show is a wake up call in history, we look at school textbooks and think "oh segregation was rough" THIS! is a representation of some real stuff that probably happened to your grandparents and your great grandparents and yall wonder why they so quiet over there in the corner. Never forget your history... If yall can't handle this show go watch some Tyler Perry Madea's big family shit lmaoo

@7:53 “it didn’t even look cool to me anymore” Maybe this is why the True Tone is going over so many ppls heads especially our generation. This film literally showed the totality of what our parent and grandparents dealt with mentally when racism was at its absolute worst. Yes the film was very deep and intense. But guess what, this was our elders reality. Put away “good horror” “a cool film” blah blah. This was our elders livelihoods. It seems like so many people leave this part out. My grandmother talked a lot about how deep spirituality was around that time. Good and bad. She would always tell us she saw demons, she heard and seen spirits, she felt like she was going crazy due to the evils of white people. Their consciousness or (spiritual antennas) were high compared to modern society. They were bombarded spiritually and lived in a level of fear I don’t think any of us can fully comprehend. A lot of what was shown I assure you, our grandparents and even some parents from the Deep South can relate to a film like this. And would probably be offended to see so many ppl wanting to skip over this aspect of racism in those days. I highly suggest If you have grandparents who can share stories about their parents and grandparents. Ask them, talk to them about spirituality and dealing with white people during those days. Ask them if they felt evil surrounding them.

We can't ignore black suffering. That would be disgusting and wrong. However, we can't keep supporting works that *only* depict black suffering! Black people deserve to have better portrayals. 😒

Anyone watching, I recommend you still watch the show. All the reviewers are saying the same thing, yes, but decide for yourself. If you like the horror genre, you’ll likely enjoy this show. 8/10

I didn’t find it exploitive at all. I found it captivating and light shined on the black experience on many levels. The alter egos/internal characters speaks to personal suffering that is very difficult to explain. Viewers can really feel that in a meaningful way for the first time. I don’t think it’s for anyone who hasn’t dealt with personal traumas.. can definitely be triggering

I actually enjoyed season one. It was absolutely difficult to watch at times, but I don't believe the overall objective of the show is known to the viewers. I understand and agree that we need more positive, uplifting shows about our people. However, it seems to me that the creators of the show are attempting to address the issues that have plagued us, as they see fit. I was left with the impression that they were able to save their family in the end. I feel like the entire idea is to make everyone uncomfortable.. Works for me, but I understand the critics.

Wow, why are we ignoring the second half of the season? Episode 9 was perfect. It goes way deeper than grassroots racism in the 50s, it goes into the specifics, the intricacies of the destruction of the mentality of the black race. How they twisted Leviticus 25 to enslave us, to the curses in Deuteronomy. They literally spoke about the covenant that was made with Gods chosen people (So-called black man), where else has this been addressed? No other show has gone this deep into the origins of the nit and gritty of racism, and why it's evil, etc. So I don't get your "this show is catered to white folks" take at all, I don't see it. Not sure why you would look to a literal horror show for some sense of aspiration? That's why we have movies like Coach Carter, Remember the Titans, Black Panther, Green Mile, Creed, Soul, Quincy, Straight Outta Compton. Not a horror show? What part of Get Out aspired you? Why you are surprised to see "trauma" in a horror show? Shouldn't it be expected even more? Were you looking for a trauma-less horror show? Sure, structurally it could be much better, but as a psychological horror show, it was no less than a 7/10. 9/10 for me personally. I mean, the soundtrack, sound design was superb, the acting is great from Gracie Jean to The Man in the Hat, the story works if you look a tad deeper, the writing was good enough- there were so many memorable lines. It's a good horror show. You can literally make the argument that all these Spike Lee, Jordan Peele movies are exploitative also, how is this show any more or less exploitative than the Blackkklansman or Get Out movie? Your judgments are pretty circular, you only truly judged the first 5 episodes.

At times I also grow tired of seeing stories about black people struggling or being mistreated. However this series was a little different. There was a message within some of those VERY difficult to watch scenes. The message was obviously about hatred and racism, but also about pain. In order to manage these issues we have to recognize these things in others , but most importantly we have to recognize it within ourselves! That’s ultimately what the main characters did at the end. It’s easy to recognize it within others but much harder to recognize it within ourselves. Once the characters recognized their own pain and hurt they were ready to come together and face the world. Pain and hatred will likely always be a part of this world but we don’t have to let it in our own hearts. Working on our own hearts is the hardest work to do. There is a lot of work that white people need to do but there is also a lot of work that black people need to do. The stuff we saw in this movie as well as the stuff we are seeing today is SPIRITUAL!!!! Some of the people who are doing crazy things don’t even understand why they are doing it ! The sooner we start “ seeing things for what they really are “, the better we will all be. Hurt people hurt people. How do we break that cycle?

It’s a dramatization of real past events, I don’t think it’s exploiting anything. Yes it’s a hard watch but some people are just tired of this genre being lame and anything but scary. This series was a refresher for sure.

I feel like people who havent experienced racism; dislike this show. You cant just sweep history under the rug. If you want black people to be depicted as strong we gotta show the struggles they go through. Unfortunately its racism. So shitting on an idea because you dont like to see black people struggle and make it out; sounds like you got more underlying issues. Grow as a person. Watch The Harder they Fall.

I’m not white I’m not black , I am Colombian.. and from the start I felt so uncomfortable and so traumatized and I could never imagine how devastating the segregation time was.after the baby scene I took a break not sure if I will finish this. Your absolutely right, the whole “black producer” excuse and it being okay to show that or a pass is still not ok, they did not have to show the baby scene or assault scene..the rest of the racism I think just shows exactly how it was so I think that was eye opening.

I liked it. There was a lot of symbolism going on that I appreciated as a writer myself. The history that was represented is what i also appreciated. All of the main characters had their own demons to deal with.

In my opinion it is very important to have shows that really show us the reality of the heinous acts done against us it makes us as a people want to learn more about our own history that many of us never really gave thought before.

when you look past normal flaws of the series like betty's storyline with the milkman and other plot lines that got dropped this series was amazing and delivered the message it was supposed to. if you think it's torture porn just because it shows the torture black people had to go through during those times then you completely missed the point of the series. this is about what our grandparents/great grandparents lived through and it's not just some horror series for us to rate. it's a literally horror documentary and you could probably find several grandparents and great grandparents who can relate to this experience

This show was completely unnecessary! I’m confused on who the audience is suppose to be. Black people don’t not need to be watching this. This show is nothing but trauma, and it’s upsetting because the acting was so good. The actors who played the family did an amazing job. However the story was just sad, upsetting, and just again unnecessary!!

Disclaimer for other commenters: to each their own . This is MY opinion on the series, and I care not if you agree or disagree with me. That said, if you troll...you WILL be trolled.... Now... Trauma porn I agree with. I'm usually the type to insist on finishing a movie or series just because I start it and want to see the ending, even if it's "bad" (i.e. terrible acting). I get what the creator wanted to do...but how much more of this do we really need to see? I feel like Jordan Peele's work executes it's purpose, but this almost feels unnecessary. I'm only 5 episodes in and I cringe at the thought of finishing it.

I get this is a review based on your opinion but you try to speak with such authority that makes it seem like it’s the reality. Everything you complained was without reference or without explanation. To me I see people copying Jordan peele as a great success to Jordan for creating signature style for black horror films which then because it’s own genre. People copy each other’s styles all the time because a successful trend will be duplicated. The writing wasn’t air tight but it got the point across that it wanted to focus on. What you took away from this is a very limited and one sided viewpoint that belittles all the great things this series accomplished. I don’t understand what you mean by black suffering. Every hero trope moves has suffering where the protagonist has to overcome. If you mean that you want to see black characters overcome Somethig else than racism I mean... what more relatable,deeper truth is there? But this series wasn’t about overcoming racism or loving your neighbor. It was about those who are blinded by pride, hatred, and pain and what happens when unchecked or not dealt with. The evil white lady betty had trauma’s similar to lucky however Betty projected her pain and hatred toward them because they threatened the only safe space she felt like she had. Which is why she was distributed by the wall paper because it disturbed her “perfect” world. Luckys pain and fears which was dealt with by having to face them as the devil shoves those reminders and false narrative constantly at her recognized what holding on to grief and pain could do to her and her family and overcame that to be the savior of her family she still has left. Physiologically speaking this huge because people hold onto grief of a loved one because they feel if they move on that means that don’t care/love their lost ones anymore. She didn’t play the victim card ever and found her true self once again even stronger ready to face the world as shown in the last scene of the Emory family metaphorically standing against the world. I just think your opinion is valid as to why someone shouldn’t watch the show. And to call it shit and ass is just being disrespectful for no reason especially when you yourself can’t produce/write/or direct anything equal to or better than THEM. But those who don’t do just complain I guess.

The series " Them" was great, it shows the truth of what happened in the 50s which everyone should be aware of , blacks or whites. Black people were definitely Traumatised living in that kind of environment. If black people wants movie on order, please create your own and invest in your own. If you don't put the money don't criticise.

It started off strong in the first 2 episodes then it started to take a sharp turn into something completely incoherent. The plot was all over the place. It seemed they were more into creating shock value than something of real substance. It had the potential of it being really good but instead it fell way short.

I thought the Tap Dance Man was scary, well-acted, and a brilliant representation of the lingering rage from slavery and segregation and racism in general. But then they ruined him by having him be just a form of the evil Amish ghost man. Also, his deal with the devil doesn't really make sense if it happened in like the 1860s when the Civil War was going on. He had to keep driving black people insane to stay "immortal" but in the show it's the 1950s, and they say black people moving to the area is a new thing, so what the hell was he doing when the area was only white people? Why hadn't he already been sent to hell for not doing the work?

I think that even Jordan Peele would had made Henry Emorys character more protecting of his family especially going after the ones who killed his baby and raped his wife. Little Marvin image of black men being strong is not there or he let Lena Waithe or Waife take his his idea of this film into a totally different direction making the black male character weak and unprotective of his family while the black woman and black daughter had to come to his rescue

I’m loving the show so far. I love how horror has the ability to make us examine trauma using supernatural elements. It’s like what really happened was so inexplicable and awful, that the only way to get across how deep that trauma goes is to compare it to stuff that’s not real. In this case, The horror of what black Americans experienced was so bad that the only way to truly process is it is side by side with unnatural horror.

I feel like if anyone watched haunting of hill house or bly manor, this is literally the same trauma based theory. I feel like this showcases real issues at the time, some parts were unnecessary but it was a deeply thrilling watch

I feel like a lot of people take the show out of proportion. I found this to be educational even for how graphic it is. It shows what POC had to really go through and it was hard to watch, but to see them rise up from their demons was amazing. I know it’s traumatic but you have to understand what they’re trying to portray. When you watch the last few episodes it starts to make sense. It made me cry. I hope everyone can find something to understand from the show because it opened my eyes to things I didn’t know were true. Everyone has there own thoughts and opinions about the show, but I highly recommend watching it. It is a big trigger warning though. What they shown was VERY graphic.

I rate this the scariest thing I’ve seen in so long. Definitely got that Kubrick vibe in this show. 10!

Im so tired of people saying it’s exploitative. We NEED to see this as a race -black people NEED to see this because too often, after ALL our ancestors did for us, in this day and age we continue to insult them, we don’t honor their advice, and we mistreat them. I hope its a wake up call to our community. Our grandparents and great-grandparents went through hell with white people and they have to get old and take that shit from us too. It doesn’t have to be this way. Honor your ancestors by doing family history and genealogy. They are too important to be forgotten. So much unchecked trauma they had to fight through. Also, I hope younger white people see this so they can get a picture that racism was hella real and continue to promote change. That George Floyd incident was HORRIBLE, but it was NOTHING compared to what our ancestors went through. That cat in a bag scene said it all.

as far as black trauma has went in tv shows, this show was most def the worst and the fact that it happens in every single episode is ridiculous! when i thought it couldnt get worse, it did smh

I binged this over the last couple of days, it was fucking great. The cast was phenomenal. It was brutal to watch I agree, I hit the fast forward button many times to get through some excruciating scenes. But as a horror fan I loved it, I encourage everyone to make their own decision.

I’m sorry but I disagree, I definitely get what your saying about white Hollywood forcing black creators in a corner but i feel like a lot of people really don’t understand the past experiences of black people. But I think it’s fitting for these shows and movies to show what happened to us as a people. It’s also empowering for us because a huge mainstream audience sees the cinematography, acting and over talent in these projects thereby getting more black people in the world spotlight. I also think that the so called “black trauma” genre is way better than Madea spinoffs

This was NOT drawn out. Are we or did we watch the same thing? It’s a thriller it builds up and it’s not slow burning. It’s just the attention span today is of a gnat. The teacher was spooky as well. The Pastor scenes maybe one episode was drawn out. But the rest. One scene I skipped through was the baby scene. Knowing what they was going to do was traumatizing. Eff that old itch. That was not needed. Just weird. If you want to be pissed of watch that scene. The children are absolutely beautiful. The mom gorgeous. The father’s apathy to protect his family annoyed me. Weak …

Guys just watch the show, reviewers are just too technical but u dont have to be, enjoy the story.

It reminded me a lot of Toni Morrison's 'Beloved' where Sethe's slave trauma becomes personified in the ghost of her daughter. I think 'Them' was beautifully crafted. I take your point of Black trauma being exploited, but in the whole collection of Black storytelling, this series definitely has a place. The haunting of each character is personal, and the idea that a Black family is being psychologically oppressed on the inside of the house, and physically oppressed from the outside has the desired effect of inescapable claustrophobia, a drowning that takes everything you have to come up for breath. In the haunting horror genre, there are always victimised characters, usually a traumatised or isolated female; 'Them' is no exception to that, so it's not a failure to have black characters who need to overcome, that's every haunting story. We need more Black stories of every genre, that's for sure. There's a lot of catching up to be done.

THEM was actually really good. Specially after just finishing my sociology class. America wants everything sugar coated. This was necessary to discuss what it truly was back then

I stopped at the rape and baby murdering scene, sorry for the spoiler, but I don’t think it does spoil it. If your not sure as a black person how to take this show when you watch the first, second and third episodes, that scene makes it definitive. I switched off.

Saw episode 5 and im just trying to recover

TLDR: Well I liked this 'white guilt' series. Still could've been better w/o the need of supernatural elements, but glad for the variety and jobs created to make this production possible. In terms of cinema, yes, minority groups overcoming adversity from the hands of oppressive majority groups is a common theme. But a black family, much less a group of black people, being oppressed within a societal & LITERAL spiritual context is maybe where some viewers could be thrown off. Was honestly expecting a historical nonfiction from the intro paragraph in ep1. On a minor point, some of the side characters' significance were either left unanswered w/o unveiling toward anything bigger or just cut off entirely (and sometimes unintentionally[?] funny - wasn't expecting comedy in this series). Maybe turning this oppression's aesthetic into a TV series is a bit much/lengthy for some viewers. The societal bigotry was spot-on, I mean it's a 1950's all-white suburbs getting a black family (easily worth a few films of material), but then the 'hauntings' came in. (Minor spoiler) Each member had a unique-styled haunting related to their personal troubles (micro-view), which I speculate as the inner worst thoughts of what a minority group would feel/think when confronting oppression (macro-view). Personally the oldest daughter's experience is the most sad (teenager fitting in AND as a minority among a hateful majority), the mother's is the most psychologically tragic, but the Dad's experience kept me on edge. Tap Dance Man is one of the more terrifying villains I've watched in a while. SPECULATION: 'White guilt' gets a lot of eyeballs, ticket sales, and award wins ON TOP of providing a 'message' that oppression is bad, as I imagine there're still too many people that do exist in the world that DON'T integrate this message. It's exhausting for those that know but illuminating for those that don't. And I'm sure it's doubly exhausting to see black cast members being 'type casted' for certain genres of filming. However, personally curious if there're any correlation studies to the number of 'white guilt' cinema that exist vs the rate of crime per capita involving whites on minorities.

Totally get your view. It's actually becoming a pattern with these types of movies/tv shows. It is depressing. But all in all I liked it. How each character had a demon following them and they all had different attachments to each member of the family. I learned more than what I already knew. I.e blackface, great migration. What I didnt know was about the real estate changing the predominantly white neighborhoods to black and raising interest and forging contracts to say "negro blood." It made me scared, angry, and sad all at the same time.

There is way less racism now, being Puerto Rican in Minnesota in the 90s I was called the “N” word by a couple white guys when I was a teen aged having a brown complexion. I was chased by them after flicking them off. My mother was white and the father was dark complexion Puerto Rican. In school was picked on and never got in trouble but I also didn’t take no crap from the kids. And then they backed off me.

I'm four episodes in and am going to quit after seeing a few of these commentaries. The acting and cinematography are great, but the rest is a hot mess and derivative. I liked your take on black suffering becoming an overused film genre. It seems like Hollywood can only handle one black film genre at a time. We went from blaxplotation movies of the seventies to gagsta in da hood films to this. Once a film with a black cast becomes popular, you only see that kind of movie for the next decade. Them is just a poor imitation of a Jordan Peele film or Lovecraft Country. There needs to besome variety. And, there needs to be a move towards casting black actors in roles that default to white. For example, when I read the book The Martian, I realized Mark Whatney's appearance was never. This would have been a perfect oppotunity to cast a black actor. Instead, we got Matt Damon. Just quit with the default lead being a white guy.

I was 100% for this show. …And then the last two episodes happened. What started with thunder ended in a wet fart. Truly a shame, especially for all of the awfulness that the characters went through and by extension the suffering the audience had to endure right along with them. Brilliant writing and acting giving way to cliche tropes about curses and story lines that were completely abandoned in service of such. Damn shame.

They literally could had made the plot of Them as a black family in a modern world move in a nice house and have to face supernatural evils that trying to corrupt & kill the family. (With no racism theme at all) Just a normal black family facing evil ghost. Now that's what I wants. Not everything black horror has to deal with racism and always making white people the big bad wolf and every black horror movie. They need to stop that shit. Secondly I liked Jordan Pelee Us as a entertaining movie but as a writing standpoint it was terrible and he rush his script.

I get what you mean about her having nothing to do, and her past, but what more would you want? Yes was perhaps a bit thin, but that trauma is going to massively shape and affect her for a substantial time, we saw she was a mother but clearly, got ish to.manage. pretentious cinematography? It was excellent , being too picky. But is like a consolidation dose of trauma. The director said he wanted audience to feel it. But yes nothing grows its based over a short period though. Long what? Flew by but I feel dropped it at 9 and 10. Shouldve been 9 with extended final ep. Some fair opinions though. Totally get em. Felt the same to a point but overall thought it was good and needed. Watch the director intro. Well put hes a horror fan so thats what he's gonna make . Those twins were scarier tho. I get what you mean tho this is like a sequal to us , and lovecraft but after green book and the other films u mentioned , I get your point, but I thought LC was great ,up to the end .. this was a good show tho even with the Sensationalism, which is a fair point, but visual medium is powerful for the masses that don't read enough. You really hit a key point about Them and other media. A lot of times it's BORING! It's the same stories over and over again! There area INFINITE stories out there to tell but instead we're getting the same ones over and over and over again. Why? Because it's cheap, safe, and does not require talent, risk, or hard work. I mean come on! Give us something NEW!

I think everything he explained to make it sound bad is why this show is it’s own particular perfect art. The show it self was a build up.

I have family that was a part of the integration of Compton during the late 50s early 60s. From what I've learned from my elders the level of black a phobia may have been as bad or worse than portrayed. It was known all through the 50s 60s and even early 70s it was known by black families that you DID NOT cross Rosecrans or what they called the Tracks. Which is how they use to separate the races in small towns and cities like Compton. I was told that white youths banned together in the city of Compton and made race street gangs. The most notable of which was known as the Spook Hunters who in my opinion were the catalyst for The Black anti race gangs such as the Oaks Park Business Men and the Piru Street boys who later morphed and devolved into who we know now as the BLOODS AND CRIPS. White terrorism was realer than real, the spook hunters who wore sattin club jackets with the words SPOOK HUNTERS on the back with a picture of a black baby with a noose around its neck, crossed the tracks with impunity commiting assaults, drive by shootings in some cases and fire bombing black homes. Not like the black youths didn't try to fight back or retaliate.the truly terrifying thing was when attempting to cross the tracks to get some form of justice or get back 99% of the time they'd be met by Compton PD who knew they were coming because they were complicit in the earlier attacks. Those black youth would be ripped from their vehicles and in many cases beat within an inch of being crippled or even dead! What's even more terrifying is my uncle knew a lot of these kids growing up and would later meet them again in life as members of Compton and L.A.P.D. he said white flight was so real and extreme to the point where when the wyts knew they couldn't terrorize the blacks who could afford homes in Compton from moving from Watts and L.A. that they just left what seemed like overnight. They would move at night and you would wake up to a boarded up he house next door. Hundreds of houses were just abandoned and left boarded up all through the city rather than live in proximity to black folks. This series added the element of mental illness or gaslighting to a scenario which was very real for many pioneers of those wyt enclaves of cities like Compton or Levitt town, there's a documentary or news special from the period all about this on RU-vid where wyts express their anger at having blacks as neighbors saying their property values would fall, and they don't live like us. Etc.. It was a horrific thing to live through for some people. So for you to just dismiss fact based trauma of a people in favor of Black Panther a fictional character from a fictional country created by someone with no connection to the people places or the things that make him him I find puzzling. Ngl, this show reminded me of Tales from the Hood 2, which is one of the worst films of all time imo. I might sound terrible for saying this, but I’m sick of these stories. They’re just mostly the same bs over and over again. Besides Candyman, Tales from the Hood, and Get Out, I just can’t with this sub genre.

1000% agree Tap Dance Man from the inherent representation to the visual just Wow. Right there with Pennywise. They could’ve done a movie on him and a broader audience would’ve been scarred for life. Maybe Season 2 but this is such a hard watch, Im not sure if Im up for a return to 1960s East Compton ever again…

I disagree. All characters were strong especially the mother. This series talk about a lot of suffrage and mental deterioration that African Americans dealt with when coming into a new society. Very symbolic and clever. Real life terror vs supernatural is a pretty interesting concept. All characters were dynamic. Though their differences were superficial inside they were similar. First most white people feel safe around others like themselves but the show teaches that non genuine bond isn’t set in stone. The show educated those who were unaware Compton previous demographic. Evil was the primary concept but in a way where it actually blurred. Pretty much the main characters need to overcome their witnesses to overcome the darkness to see their potential. This did provide though over top what black families face through the entire country. You say Hollywood loves black suffering but there is a thug movie out consistently. Black panther may have had a black writer but it was pushed by white producers.

I thought it was going to be a story about the horrors of racism, I thought it was going to be something you showed to people to remind them of the realities of what their grandparents did. I then realised it had monsters. I'd didn't make sense to me as to why a supernatural element was needed. Surely the horror should be about the racism. I hadn't even thought that it was essentially black trauma as entertainment until I want looking for reviews like rn.

The show was amazing! There is a lot of history behind it. I highly recommend the show.

I just finished this series today . What’s crazy is that I had to deal with racism this morning and almost went angry black women crazy on they ass. This series was amazing but Im angry as a black women that my culture had to and still endures this racism bull shit🤬 I hate it I HATE IT. Humanity ain’t shit and still ain’t shit.

Episode 5 was totally and completely SADISTC, SAVAGE, DISGUSTING, TWISTED AND BARBERIC !! It's not what you do but HOW you do it, now I know things like this happened and even WORSE, I get that, however, must you go into such GRAPHIC DETAIL ?? For example, Shidler's List was about the Holocaust, but did they show the Jewish infants getting killed (and this really happened ) NO, did they show the bodies being made into lamp shades and soap (and this really happened) NO, Stephan Spielberg was very careful at how he filmed the movie and he told the story WITHOUT all the graphic detail ! Do you see where I'm, going with this ? WHY is it acceptable to show BLACK bodies being brutalized as "entertainment" ?? I am SICK AND TIRED of our pain and trauma being used as ENTERTAINMENT, this is UNACCEPTABLE !!

I liked it and understood its historical poignance and horror/ paranormal goals. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I liked it. And the music! Ok! That is a whole discussion, in and of itself. 💜🙏🏾

Im kinda confused, why would a white audience like a show, there literally every single white person is a racist monster? I know I personally dont like it and am sick of it. i want more things like Blade. But you are on pint when you talk about how this kind of content seems to be the only thing coming out, with a focus on black characters. If feels like the modern re-imagining of blacksploitation.

Man, This show is an easy 9 out of 10. It's 70's TV, Hitchcock, Kubrick, and a lot of stuff that's all its own. It took balls of steel to pull off this production. Great acting. The black face ghost is creepy as shit and unlike anything I've ever seen.

You all really show a horrible lack of insight, spiritually, and are quite shallow. This first season of “Them,”... is an art MASTERPIECE! Every episode must be watched... because the latter episode tie all of the craziness from the earlier together in a brilliant bow. “Them” is an EPIC MASTERPIECE not to be wasted on people with low IQ’s or poor comprehension skills. What a ride, what a journey... what absolute brilliance. “Them” gets 5 stars from me ... a CULTURAL MASTERPIECE, a one of a kind documentary, an indictment of good and evil, a criminal investigation, an exhaustive commentary, a trial and case before a jury, a spiritual warfare, a Satire of reality at its very best, Art, Fine Art, a history, a glimpse, a motion picture that we all have already seen but not quite like this, unique, poetic, powerful,, prophetic, engaging, enraging, hopeful, beautifully bright, disturbingly dark, accurate, necessary, enlightened, progressive, forward, this is a Serious Series .. whose time .. is NOW!!! VERY WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Truly EPIC!!!!!!!!!
