Amber Heard's attorney Elaine Bredehoft on verdict and what's next 

She accused a guy of wanting “15 min. of fame” and yet she’s doing a media tour after getting straight up outclassed by another legal team. This is embarrassing and pathetic !

This is SO embarrassing. The gentleman is telling her to look in the mirror and she just continues to deflect the blame. Amber did this to herself.

“We had medical records” girl where? The fact that they are claiming this is a “loss for women both inside and outside of the courts” is so infuriating. Abuse does not have a gender.

I don't blame a lawyer for having to represent a vicious, abusive liar. I DO blame a lawyer who does a shameful interview like this. What a horrible person.

Dear Elaine and Amber: This is not a setback to women, this is a setback to liars, manipulators, and for any unscrupulous person who decides to cancel someone else's life based on false accusations. But also, unfortunately, I must say, It is a setback for the true victims of abuse at the hands of their partners, because if they had it complicated before, now with the actions of your narcissistic client, they will have it twice as complicated to obtain justice, CAN'T YOU SEE????

I can’t believe I was ever sympathetic to Elaine because I thought she just got a bad client but instead she’s just as bad as Amber. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I felt sorry for Elaine having Amber as her client, but now I think she’s just as bad ! Defending amber when she’s clearly guilty! That’s shocking

Amber sat on the stand and said “I know how many people will support Johnny. That’s his power. That’s why I wrote the op-Ed.” So she admitted on the stand she wrote it about Johnny. And the jury heard that loud and clear.

words cannot describe how unprofessional going on live tv, calling the jury incompetent, making baseless claims, and insulting the court is.

Attacking the jury is not a good look. Amber's team blames literally everyone but themselves.

As a survivor of domestic violence I would like to say that Amber's loss is NOT our loss. Anyone who has truly been through DV can see through her lies. Her and her lawyer need to stop playing victim, accept the loss and STOP spreading lies that defame him. This is absolutely DISGRACEFUL. They should be embarrassed.

The problem is that women like Amber Heard and Elaine seem to think men can’t be abused. The fact that Elaine says its a setback for women shows that she isn’t considering that men suffer from domestic abuse, emotional and mental abuse, or sexual assault too. And that’s what the feminism movement should be about. Creating a society where a person’s gender should not dictate whether they’re more likely to be the victim than the aggressor or women still victimizing women. Elaine and Amber are playing on the “this is a setback for women” when really, Johnny’s win is a win for everyone. It’s a small step that hopefully will lead to more people realizing that just because somebody cries abuse, doesn’t mean that they’re the one being abused. It’s past the time we started holding everybody accountable and not automatically believing the first thing we hear.

I felt bad for Elaine, but now with her coming out like this i believe she's part of the problem. As a lawyer she should know how important evidence and rule of law is. Respect the Jury.

This is an absolutely disgusting level of gaslighting. We all watched the trial, we saw the evidence, it was proven to be fabricated and falsified. I felt bad for Elaine for a minute, not anymore. No-one would ever hire Elaine as their lawyer after this interview. She destroyed herself in seconds.

I actually felt bad for her thinking “oh she’s just doing her job as a lawyer and fighting for her client, even though her client is a lying narcissist.” but after these interviews, she’s just as delusional as Amber.

The fact that an interviewer on a morning show can make Bredehoft question her own arguments so easily, says more about Elaine's capability as a lawyer then anything else EDIT: Bredehoft was also the one who brought in the media expert who showed the # in favour of Depp, so if she wants to accuse anyone of influence, she should look at herself first

I actually felt sympathy for this woman before, having to defend such a horrible abusive liar. Now I'm disgusted. I've never been a Depp fan --didnt know much about him --but now I just love him. This lady has the same problem that Amber had. Completely unwilling to take responsibility for anything. One of the reasons she was so unbelievable. If you have to gaslight, finger point and overdramatize to attempt to win your argument, it’s probably not that strong of one.

To try to discredit the jury is disgusting to me. To say the jury was influenced by their families is sickening. Those folks spent over a month on this trial and to have Heards attorneys to accuse them of not being thorough in the ruling is appalling.

It is a major setback for her as a lawyer. She was unprepared, and mostly incompetent.

As a SA survivor, I do not feel let down. I did not have a “mountain of evidence” but I was still able to tell the truth and be believed. This is definitely not a set back. The jury did the right thing and Amber heard needs to seriously let it go and move on with her life.

Why would she come on tv and avoid the hard questions. This is boarder line gaslighting. She has a set list of reply’s that she continues to choose from.

She is misrepresenting facts, making false accusations, and claiming that the judge, jury, and social media are to blame for Ambers loss. Truly shameful but expected.

I bet Amber regrets hiring this lawyer. I would. when she was on trial she didn't have confidence and was stuttering all over the place unlike camille. It felt like stuttering because she knew herself that Amber was guilty.

Consider the Following..: 1) When her demands are not met, she goes for a bizarre restraining order, knowing that Johnny was out of town and would be out of the country for several months. 2) She lets the TMZ know that she was going to court for restraining order, and even provides direction what side of her face should be photographed. 3) She and her team also provide the TMZ with the video of Johnny. 4) After receiving the $7,000,000 divorce settlement, she still continues to extort money from Johnny. 5) She asks for three penthouses, the cars, and $50,000 a month. 6) She makes fun of Johnny for even thinking of going to court. 7) She decides "MeToo Movement", her acting skills, and dishonest lawyers like Rotten born and Crazy Elaine will help her to fool the Jury...!!!

It seems Elaine has alot of practice accusing people without truthful evidence.

It's was far from a set back. Johnny coming out and speaking for all men who have been through domestic violence was a huge step forward!

I’m so glad that this case was televised so everyone could see and hear it for ourselves. The fake crying without tears and the major inconsistencies in her testimony were eye opening.

It's not a major setback for women, Elaine. It's a major step forwards for male victims of domestic abuse.

Appreciate CBS for actually asking thoughtful questions. People on the panel have clearly researched or watched the trial, instead of having a predetermined narrative. I get that anything Elaine says may harm Heard's ability to appeal (but Heard won't actually appeal), but call out some lessons you've learned. Clearly Heard's lawyers were not as well organised or prepared, Heard's lawyers had poor time management (in testimony and closing statements), making objections improperly (speaking-objections), Elaine misrepresenting testimony and evidence to taint the jury, poor expert witnesses (but that happens if you can't fine credible experts that'll testify), Elaine not understanding what a leading question is, Heard's witnesses conflicting with Heard's own testimony, etc, etc, etc. To share my experience (for transparency): > Not a fan of Depp's acting, except a for a few of characters. > I entered the VA trial with essentially no knowledge of Depp/Heard relationship except the Depp slamming cabinet door footage. > I knew celebrity defamation is an incredibly high standard to prove by the plaintiff. > And by the end of the trial, I came to the same verdict as the jury - except I don't think Heard should have won (the 2nd of 3 complaints), I think Heard did not prove that Depp's lawyer (although representing Depp) was speaking on behalf of Depp.

After seeing her doing all these interviews and spewing lies and misinformation in an effort to spin the fact that the jury ruled Amber to be a liar, that has changed. I'm a genuine victim now survivor off DV. I'm deeply hurt and offended by Ambers and Elaine's actions. She used my pain and suffering as well as millions of others who genuinely suffered DV. For financial gain. Johnny Depp is Amber's victim. I'm literally crying that Amber and her legal team are doing this. Continuing the lies. Microwave baby is taken from UK case Vardy Vs Rooney. Daily I suffer flashbacks, nightmares if I manage to sleep. When I was raped I couldn't walk, sit, or use bathroom without alot of pain. I hid away after being assaulted nothing hid my injuries. Amber doesn't speak for me nor does she speak for millions of other genuine survivor's she's the abuser we all run from. No victim would behave like amber. An appeal will only add to the hurt she's caused Johnny and all survivors reguardless of gender. I hope she's denied right of appeal.

This case did not hurt women. It helped the truth. As a survivor myself, it was healing to have a real victim and a real aggressor in front of the world. Her blaming social media, that was low!! That jury knew the rules, obviously if the judge didn't believe that crap!!

I actually felt bad for her at some point in the case, but the AUDACITY she has to blame everyone else involved but herself and her client is beyond belief. What makes it even more ridiculous is that she *thanked* the court and staff on the last day of the trial and was the reason they were applauded, only to turn her back on them and her practise for her 15 mins in the spotlight.
