That was covered in his closing argument. Proven lies are not protected. Depp has/had the burden of proving those were lies. He failed in the UK libel case. This is his second attempt. The UK libel case gave the go ahead to write about it because it was proven true by a civil court standard. He's gotten his second chance to prove it false...jury will reconvene on Tuesday.

This case hits a little too close to home for me because my mother is a histrionic personality disorder woman and my dad is very sensitive, almost too sensitive, like Depp. Its like watching my parents divorce all over again. It's not a matter of taking pictures or going to the doctor to seek medical help(which is a logical thing to do). It's the logic of the action given a certain situation. You took picture, not relevant to DV; but you didn't go to the doctor who can give you a medical certificate, which can be a strong evidence for DV... should I add more?

@@SM-ce1uy I have no doubt he’s an intelligent, successful attorney. BUT, he & Elaine both made the #1 fatal flaw of trial attnys. They forgot how important it is to be likeable. No matter how hard juries try to make decisions based only on evidence, their feelings towards the attorneys ALWAYS impact the decision. The best trial attorneys make it their #1 goal to be liked by the jury. Not to alienate the jury as AH’s team did.

We take his side, because we have seen the overwhelming evidence that clearly shows that Amber was highly abusive and Johnny had tried to walk away from fights, especially when it got physical. Also, differed people are affected differently by drugs, and as witnesses said: Johnny can take a lot, and not be affected as badly as many others. Thirdly, he owns his flaws and had actively tried to get sober, while Amber has been proven to be manipulative towards Johnny, and has been lying continously on the stand. This is why we support Johnny.

I LOVE when Rottenborn says “let’s see the monster in the flesh..” and immediately pulls up the cabinet video and it shows a still of Amber 😂😂. Poetic Justice. For over a year I’ve been stuck on certain parts of Amber’s testimony and keep coming back to watch the trial. The one example that haunts me is when Elaine asks Amber why Johnny “can’t” or won’t look her in the eyes and WHEN that recording was taken. Her replies are the perfect summary of her entire testimony. The WHEN-She explained that the recording was the second to last time they saw each other but the next time they were in a room together she says “…and Johnny VERY MUCH looked me in the eyes…” But then follows it up by saying “….he can’t look at me because he KNOWS he’s guilty. Otherwise, why won’t he look at me. I survived. I survived that man…” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

In testimony, Depp said that Heard gave him the ice cream to hold because he was falling asleep (she is heard taking this lack of attention as an insult) and she knew he would eventually spill/drop it. Unfortunately, Heard's counsel raised an objection about something as he was saying this at the end of an answer and this argument was never developed to further show how cruel, manipulative and dishonest Heard can be. From the photo it does not appear as if Mr Depp was ever consuming that ice cream or even holding it in a natural way. And Heard got the picture she wanted to post to her friends and post it she did, with a cynical heading. Dangerous individual.

I think I'm an abuser too.. i threw a whole rack of shoes down the stairs just because I was so mad. My boyfriend was shocked. I miss the trial because I miss seeing JD each day. I was never a fan from JD until the trial, now I love and respect this human being more as I can say in words. My childhood was like his and my marriage was more as I could take. But I was a loving mother too like JD was a loving father. I never hated anyone until the trial... AH, EB, Rottenb, the other attorney and those freeloader friends... EVIL🐍🤮

I'm rewatching this just now and it is even more noticeable now how horrible Heards lawyers were and how condesending and nasty they were throughout the whole trial. They were well suited to their client

My son in law falls asleep in the middle of a conversation, eating dinner, wherever he happens to be when he is exhausted from work. I'm sure Johnny came home exhausted from work at times and Amber wouldn't leave him alone.
