But if you are that wealthy, why wouldn’t you just pay someone to do your groceries… cost might even out to going to this grocery store but you will have same the time of going shopping
Nah dog. They just have money to buy food that isn’t messed with. Sad that anyone should have to pay more for organic food and have to settle on all of this processed crap.
@@hadilayyad6147 exactly fucking right. The moment I started making a much better wage from the shitty 40k I made before (living in San Diego, California where the average wage is supposed to 120k) it brought me so much more happiness that I was making 90k
@@hadilayyad6147 I got government assistance (very little though since the government is so greedy that they make it so hard to be qualified for the actual assistance that matters which you have to make less than 40k in California which is homeless at that point, not like my situation was much better as I was sleeping in my car or in my university’s campus)
The milk one is overpriced but worth it because while milk shouldn’t be that expensive, that particular milk is unpasteurized which is extremely difficult to sell in the US and causes such a dramatic price rise
It's worth it for them because they can shop with other rich people and not have to shop with the peasants. Just like their giant house in a gated community is worth it because they have the money and they can live around other rich people.
@@eagle25311 Broke ass yts be like “they so stupid when you can buy the same (spoiler: some of it, sure, most of it, no) shit at my local broke ass walmart when we all know damn well if you put them yts in the rich niggа pants they’d be shopping at these overpriced places exclusively
With the loser president the US has, change that to 5 MONTHS. Or the idiots in Germany who have screwed over their citizen so badly that they won't be able to afford to hear their homes. Truth be told, the citizens are idiots too, because they keep voting in losers, and they keep defending those losers.
The shopping experience, same reason why people would rather pay more to shop at a Target instead of a Walmart or a Local grocery store instead of Costco.
I dont know about america, but where i come from stores that are so expensive usally sell local products (With that i mean products that are made in the country it is selled, i dont know the english word for that), the working conditions for the people who plant, make and sell the products are way better. They're getting paid more and overall the conditions are better, and the animal products usally come from places where the animals are treated animal friendly. All that adds up and makes it very expensive but worth it.
@@SomeGuyXD65 target for me is much closer than either costco or walmart. And i have to reealllly go out of my way for target. Because my closest grocer is more expensive than target
Maybe it’s not the same stuff. Ofcourse there are plenty that has little to no difference like the toilet paper. If the difference is like salt and kocher salt maybe it’s justified or maybe they are selling much higher grade meat. In my country we usually buy the branded ( depending on the items) because the cheap one would cost more because they keep breaking and doesn’t work as the first time use. Basically if you don’t know the difference between between the cheap and expensive don’t buy at this type of grocery. And also plenty of these grocery could be just relabeled shit to make it sound better.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i don't know if you're calling out him being a watered down version of the guy asking people in expensive cars, or if you're predicting the future of US economy 🤣🤣🤣
@@c0nstantin86 it’s the same guy but yeah kinda predicting the economy of all developed countries at the moment, same stuff is happening over here in the U.K. at the moment with energy and food prices etc
He definitely doesn’t know shit about fuck with anything other than social adeptness and naming prices. And because we’ve enabled him he will continue to do this and just not get any smarter
Price is based on value for money. She can agree that the value is less than the money. Whether or not it's worth it to her is up to her and might have nothing to do with the price of the products but the experience or something stupid like that. Like Gucci or stuff
Just because something is overpriced doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it…. There’s more value in time then actual currency… It could be the only grocery store in the area, and she would have to drive an hour to and and hour back home if she wanted something cheaper, and it just isn’t worth the time or effort into do that, so she knows the price points are ridiculous, but is willing to pay them for the convenience (just an example, have no idea why it’s so expensive)
This comment actually makes no sense. Every American super market restocks their shelves frequently. Like have you been in a Fred meyer, Costco, or any super market?
@@tylerfiore9758 I’m sure the context is a joke. Hence the emojis. Some will like it and some will not. Chillax. Not all grocery stores restock during business hours; it becomes a liability or is just a standard business practice between chains/locations.
@@tylerfiore9758 it makes plenty of sense. Since the "pandemic" many stores have low stock on food. My local grocery store is out of many items and there are shelves entirely empty. The more expensive store has full stock almost always.
I’ll save everyone money on pasta sauce: San Marzano tomatoes (preferably whole peeled and crush them by hand), add garlic, Italian seasonings, salt pepper, onion powder, let it all simmer forever, it’s so good and costs like $6 if you get good tomatoes
Things is these kind of stores are not for the rich... It's for the middle class who want to live in delusional that they are rich... And it makes the actually rich people richer...
Erewhon is on another level. The only people I know who shop there are micro influencers or celebrities. Even the nice natural food stores like Lassens, Gelsons, Bristol Farms, Aldi’s/TJ’s, Sprouts, Mothers, Sunlife are all more reasonable than trendy ass Erewhon. Twitch streamers getting 13$ cold crews cuz it’s “self love” lol
I will have my millions and drive to the common folks grocery store. Still a whole foods store or Kroger because I like good produce and meat. People are greedy I rather give that to charity vs over paying just because I feel I'm to good to shop with normal people that's a no! Lol
Literalllh get the same marinara sauce for $5 a bottle, that cereal has been significantly marked up, etch. The only thing I saw that you showed which may be reasonably priced is olive oil, because depending on where it comes from and the quality of it, olive oil can become very expensive.
Stores like this are just a means of the rich to avoid shopping with the poor. Much of the stuff is the same products. That's what her 'worth it' means.
At first I was like oh okay at least it’s all proprietary brands and stuff. Then I saw the RAOs spaghetti sauce and I was like NAHHH FAM THATS AT FRYS FOR LIKE $4. 😂
Well they probably can't teach them in school because some stupid politician has labeled learning about non-pasteurized milk as being part of critical race Theory.
Costco sells that same RAOS pasta sauce. "Totally worth it"🤪🤪🤪 Like when they opened up a PAYLESS shoes in a mall and changed the name and made it look all classy. People were paying $800 for PAYLESS shoes! 😂😂😂
in order to not give myself an aneurism im only gonna defend one item here: Raw milk. it's incredibly difficult to get raw milk in stores and is usually only available via farmers market and under the table as raw milk has not been pasteurized. why would you want raw milk? it's great for cheese making and stuff. Is it worth $20? yeah, if you actually know how to use it. these items in the hands of competent cooks are a great thing but other than that it's a way for people to flex even though i can guarantee you those people only use their stoves to cook hello fresh meals
The fact they are selling Rao marinara sauce for $14 when you can get a 2 pox at Costco for less than $10. People really will shop anywhere for clout and ✨ aesthetics ✨
@@roddyjack8 Cannabis isn't really the same. There is a lot of expensive weed that sucks, but the best weed/live rosin tends to always be on the higher end of the price. A gram of live rosin for $100 or an eigth for 60-70 in DC. I get some crazy live rosin. Dirty taxi, gmo, I-95, Chem 95 etc. West coast is cheaper.
You can literally get those same exact products at other grocery store. It’s pretty audacious to charge that much…you wouldn’t catch me dead buying $20 gallon of milk even if I was a multimillionaire 🙄
The name of the grocery store is referenced from a utopian novel written by Samuel butler in 1872 and erewhon is nowhere backwards hopefully some context helps!
The amount of stupidity from people who waste their money when they can find the same stuff at other grocery stores for a fraction of that, I never thought I’d say Whole Foods is cheaper than that
Bruh I get the same brand of raw milk for like 5 bucks, it's more expensive then traditional milk because it has barely any additives and if you leave it the cream generates on top, but fr though $20 that's just whyyy
Elites don't eat all the shit we get there are even signs on some brands in Walmart that let them know it's safe for them to consume. Well it's a "conspiracy"
