That is going to be awesome!!! Oklahoma has a lot of clean new buildings and new facilities. Oklahoma City is cleaner and has less crime than every single large city in the United States. By the way, downtown OkC has Never ever been hit by a tornado either. The powerful tornadoes usually go to the outer edge of OKC/Moore area and NW Oklahoma City and have not been no where near downtown. That would be really nice to have that skyscraper in Oklahoma City.🙂

You mentioned a good point, dear David, the city is very favorable for big projects🔥

Lifelong OKC resident here. Very exciting, but I suspect that what will ultimately end up being built is a VERY impressive, yet much shorter tower. OKC is on the move, no doubt.

Your opinion is respected. But first you have to wait and see if this project will be approved or not?

Why does people dislike this project? Including New yorkers are not happy that a skyscraper will skyrise and blast past the height of One World Trade Center... We can all agree that it's about time for other cities to start building skyscrapers rather than New York and Chicago to have a battle to see: "Who will have the tallest skyscraper in america"? (And yes I know the mere fact that Oklahoma is sorta a plain state with barely any skyscrapers.) But why would anybody care about the skyline rather than the skyscraper itself? Every city in the US didn't have a skyline at first... That's why they build skyscrapers to populate and landmark cities in a state of the US. And for those people who think tornadoes might be a major issue; So what IF Oklahoma is in tornado ally? Downtown Oklahoma City hasn't been touched by a tornado at all... The tornadoes usually form other South, East, West or North from downtown. Who said Downtown Oklahoma City got hit by a tornado? I KNOW Oklahoma HAS tornadoes but that doesn't mean Downtown got hit by one... Why ELSE do you think there are skyscrapers in downtown? I'd honestly agree with those who say that "marketing and financial" might be a slight issue to this mega skyscraper project... But it doesn't mean it'll get cancelled altogether. And ontop of that about "high-winds" some people mention... We didn't really get the full design of the skyscraper implying that we WONT know whether if the skyscraper will be resistant to high winds. We would have to ask the developers of the project whether it's gonna be wind resistant but... I doubt if the skyscraper WONT be wind resistant... Why wouldn't it be? And not to mention the fact; The Willis Tower and the One World Trade Center... Is literally office skyscrapers/buildings that are claimed to be "half empty" this proposed skyscraper is going to be a mixture of that AND hotel housing with 1,776 of residential hotel spaces. If ANYONE wants to try to debunk at what I just said then feel free.

my dear friend, I appreciate your thoughts on this topic! It's important to have a discussion about the impact of skyscrapers on city skylines and the potential challenges they might face. Your insights contribute to the conversation.👌

As an OKC resident I dont think this makes sense. I'm all about the Boardwalk development but not the super tall skyscraper part.
@MassiveBuild

Dear friend Shaun L, you are right that building a tall tower is not the criterion of collective comfort and well-being, but it can be said that it leads to competition. And you, as a citizen, think what kind of city is Oklahoma and is it capable of building big projects or not?
@shaunl446

Yes. That is my opinion.@@MassiveBuild

Its a california company doing this, not Oklahoma. The 3 smaller buildings are going to be built. If they fill they will begin the fourth. I'd be surprised if they even get to the orignial 1600 foot height. OKC is growing, but not that much or fast. Most people come here to live in the suburbs or rural areas, NOT downtown.@@MassiveBuild

Central Park tower is taller than the one World Trade Center, standing at 132 floors. This building there wanting to put in Oklahoma City will be 134 floors high. Still very good 👍

From roof height, correct. But 1WCC is still much taller. CP tower is 1,550 ft compared to 1,776 ft. No way this tower in OKC even surpasses the second tallest due to funding.

Dear Alex, the reality is that all the things you said exist in all towers and mega projects, only the names are different. In general, I think it will be profitable if it is built.💯 what do you think?
@rchilde1

Yes, it will be built but the height isn't finalized yet. The 3 towers and podium (phase i) will start in 2024, the Legends Tower (supertall) will be finalized as phase ii in a couple years.
