I second interviewing a cardiologist- but pleaseeeeeee maybe a pediatric cardiologist? I think that's one of those subspecialties that's actually pretty in demand because they historical have a shortage vs other specialties. It would be really interesting to get their opinion about why that is...especially with so many new discoveries and surgery achievements in that field, just in the last 25 years or so.

I loved this, he spoke a little vaguely but even then its awesome that you were able to interview him and all these other people. I, myself, am an aspiring neurosurgeon. SO when I saw this I was so excited, thank you for having this series it's so nice to be able to hear actual doctors talk about their specialties rather than just reading about it. I LOVE YOU, you're a big aspiration to an aspiring med student and, hopefully, surgeon.

Grew up with Scott and his little brother! So cool to see where he is now. Many days playing tag in our front yard. He used to walk around his parents yard with a huge python.

Love it. :) the reason I wanted to go into medicine is I had spina bifida when I was younger and had surgery at 16. I had two sets of each type of doctor including 2 neurosurgeons. I’m in PA school now and I may think about a rotation in that but we will see. :p

Could you do a pathologist next? I'm very interested in pathology but I haven't really been able to find many interviews or anything like that for them since I feel like they aren't as in demand as other specialties, but I find it so cool what they do. I have an in interest in forensics as well so I was thinking that forensic pathology would be a good option for me, but I just don't know yet.
