Everyone on the show said Louise was really nice and everyone got along with her and Kelly was picking at her and she had enough.

Screw them for being like, "You're a model, which means you're beneath everyone who relies on your existence for their work." Like, she had every right to stand up for herself. She is part of a massive change.

Kelly describing punk rock aesthetic as "clean, cool rock and roll" is borderline offensive to all punk rock lovers everywhere

Kelly Cutrone is the ultimate version of Karen. She thinks she is THE Manager.

I hated Kelly. She was rude, dismissive, demanding respect without deserving it, taking offense in literally everything.

They literally tried making her the Villain and Louise KNEW it. She even said "I'm not gonna be branded like this" they were trying to get this reaction from her from the start. This is a good season were a few girls were not having it with the shenanigans. Azmarie said she wasn't wearing booty pads later on and was sent home.

As someone with a panic disorder, Louise was having a panic attack. 100% this was panic from being repeatedly antagonized and not being able to react without being further antagonized. I feel bad that this was how she was portrayed

Telling them they're on an "almost impossible" time limit, and then chastising them for running is like a perfect example of gaslighting.

Authority is to be respected when they don’t abuse their position. Kelly was clearly abusing her position and used it against Louise. Although Louise’s reaction could have been calmer, she was clearly distressed about the situation. Who knows, she could have a bad past with abusive authority figures and this was her last straw. Tyra, and her whole production team should be appalled with themselves for promoting this toxic modelling environment to young impressionable audiences.This show is ridiculous and I’m overjoyed it’s finally getting the heat it deserved all those years ago. I hope the models that endured this are healing (if needed) and happy.

The so called “hierarchy” Tyra is talking about is crumbling by the days. No one will accept to be treated like that no matter what is your job. Good on Louise to stand up for herself.

Louise is my cousin. She had had enough with them and was defending herself. Louise is lovely and one of my closest cousins.

Kelly: This is a competition. Kelly: You guys are running out of time. Also Kelly: WHY ARE YOU RUNNING???? THAT IS CHAOTIC ENERGY.

The wild thing is is that we're getting an edited version of whatever Kelly said to Louise. They definitely edited this to be as complimentary to Kelly's perspective as possible, And yet it still seems very unfair. It feels to me like something bigger must have happened behind the scenes, because of the way that Louise seems to escalate emotionally during the judging. That's not the reaction of somebody who just got told that they shouldn't run, and chastised for it. That's the emotional outburst of somebody who has been pushed to the edge and held in their emotions until they broke. It also just pisses me off that Tyra says something about a "rank", as a way to tell Louise that she's being disrespectful and that she shouldn't be. In the workplace, even if there is a chain of command, you should never have to be silent and accept disrespect. Having authority does not give you free reign to make somebody else feel like garbage. It's a weak excuse, and a terrible precident to set for young, aspiring models.

Kelly really be making drama because of a girl running on a photoshoot set lol has she visited a runway backstage during a fashion show?

As a young teen watching this, I was always like "Yeah Louise had a bad attitude. Gotta respect the higher ups in the industry." Now as an adult watching this, I realize that Louise knew she was being set up and she wasn't gonna take it. God bless.

Tyra telling models that they are ranked and should obey is how so many people of power take advantage of people under them. It's really sick when you think about it.

Tyra's "rank" comment is very telling. She means once you get rank, you can be rude, demanding and dismissive like Tyra is. But until then go sit in the corner, there's important people around.

No one should have to stand there and be called mean, rude and unprofessional when all she did was jog around the set trying to finish off the job on top of being told to shut up because of rank.

I feel like a lot had to be left on the editing room floor because Louise's reaction vs. the confrontation we saw is very disproportionate, which just makes Louise look unhinged to the audience.

Why do they keep making the models manage themselves during photoshoots? This isn't the first time they've done it and it's only so they can go, "Hey, you suck at this, you NEED us." Well, of course? They're models not stylists, directors, set-designers, photographers, etc. No professional model would have to do that themselves, so why make these models have to do it??

Louise had every right to stand up for herself. Nobody has to tolerate being antagonized and disrespected like that.

I feel for Louise, the entire panel ganged up on her and dismissed everything she said. That's completely infuriating.

Louise was an EXCELLENT model. Sure she could be a bit harsh sometimes or even off-putting at the beginning, but she knows what she does and how to model and they were pushing her to be the villian of the season THE WHOLE TIME. I really wished she would've punched Kelly Cutrone in the face lmao. That would've made for excellent tv entertainment!

Honestly, Louise looked surprised to be told off the first time BC she ran like 5 steps. Then Kelly seeks her out while she can't remove herself from the situation because she's getting hair done to further tell her off. Louise is holding back telling her to "f*$k right off" there when Kelly leans down over her, instead she said "sure Kelly" and went and got her photo did, girl that's pretty professional to me. Kelly's like a mum scolding a child. Shaking her head but staying silent like Louise really wanted to get through that photo shoot without the drama. "I feel like I can't win" they really didn't have to bring all it back at panel. Kelly got Nigel in on the Drama and when Louise saw that standing up for herself was met with their gaslighting shenanigans and took herself out of that environment. For someone who's "mean" she really has more of a flight more than fight instincts. I'm glad she didn't accept the no running on set rule and ran herself out of there 👌

They made way to many comments for it to be considered the girls’ own shoot. Plus Kelly was definitely being antagonistic.

Louise has courage and she should be very proud for standing for herself in front of all these people and cameras. "You are a model. This is a publicist" But guess what ? Both of them are humans and a job doesn't excuse you for being rude to someone else, who is (to you) "less valuable"

I remember that in episode 6 of this season, Azmarie refused to wear butt pads in Tyra's "workshop" 'cause that would go against her androgynous look. So , Tyra told her to leave the workshop, and then they eliminated her for "questioning her attitude."

Kelly Crouton has no job telling people they're being rude when she's one of the most obnoxious people on ANTM. I'm glad that a model finally stood up for herself! Respect, Louise!

As a professional fashion and beauty photographer, I never like to work in a toxic environment rule #1 the model is the most important person on the shoot, there has to be respect coming from the whole crew without that the shoot is done.

The ranking comment was not it. Like everyone is on set to do a job, everyone is getting paid. It's not hard to treat people with respect no matter what their station is.

I really believe she realized that they were going to make her the “villain” of the show and no matter what she would do she would be put in bad lighting

I literally HATE Jay & Kelly.... I’ve always thought he was that “petty passive aggressive” kind of person. And now he’s trying to backtrack and say it was “Tyra” that made him act this way. I don’t believe it for one second. I think this kind of petty behavior is common in celebrity environments. 😤

Anytime they go choose your own adventure photo shoots, it just reads to me "We couldn't think of a way to endanger the models so let's see if making them do teamwork will create drama" And in this time around, there just wasn't enough drama amongst the models so they have Kelly the job of drama llama

I mean running around a set full of people is a little chaotic. However, she was running to get things done in a timely manner.

lmao the judges were talking about ranking and being a model and a publicist HOWEVER Louise didn't have any grudge against Kelly as a PUBLICIST. Kelly's comment was *personal* , the words she said weren't a critique or about her job as a model and Louise was standing her ground as someone who was *personally* affected.

I love how in a few episodes later Tyra dumped Azmarie for refusing to wear a fake booty for a challenge. Not wanting to get your body altered for a model shoot is not "not being able to take criticism", it's standing up for yourself.

there's plenty about the show that's wack wbk but it's sooooo annoying whenever the panel treats their assumptions about the girls as truths. i don't think there's ever been an episode where they don't go "i think she [insert assumption about how a model feels based on absolutely nothing] and that's what's holding her back" or whatever nonsense lmao

This is not ok. I could never stand Kelly because she would say she’s being blunt but she was being narcissistic and abusive. She could basically say whatever she wanted and people had to sit there and take it.

Kelly was absolutely antagonizing her. There is some truth in what they were saying about how she accepts criticism, but it's essentially invalidated when they set her up to be the villain and they were the ones poking the bear. They saw in her that she has a difficult time with authority or criticism, and manipulated that, instead of actively trying to help her.

i am appalled that as a teenager, i thought tyra was nice to the girls and actually only gave them constructive criticism. now, i see she was subtly manipulative and abusive of these girls vulnerability and desire to go after their dream of modeling. and as for kelly cutthroat... she seems like she lives a sad, bitter life and takes it out on those around her.

Kelly actually released a video after this, surrounded by a bunch of random models, basically bullying Louise and saying she 'messed with the wrong judge'. I'm criiiiiinging for her so hard! It's toe-curlingly embarrassing. Good on Louise for sticking up for herself.

Anyone else think the comment Tyra made about wanting “fiercely real” (aka plus size) girls to see sexualised pictures of themselves was really weird??? Why can’t plus girls just model without being sexualised? What makes it different for them compared to other girls? It kind of just reduces beautiful plus size women to fetishisation rather than being accepted as models just like the others!

When she said "i feel like i can't win" that wasn't about the photoshoot or the competition, it was about her constantly being antagonized. This is just so sad to be honest, since she wasn't even agressive or disrespectful, they just kept provoking her and she eventually snapped, which is completely natural, because she didn't deserve all this bs?? Then they acted like she was always like this, like this wasn't even a new thing for her to do. Disgusting, utterly disgusting, how they actually just wanted her to do this from the beginning. I'd love to see you react to the "bullying" shoot where the girls have the names they were called as a kid that hurt most written on them. Kayla, the lesbian girl, had a panic attack at the thought of having "queer" written on her.

'We like to think it's constructive'. I mean, you can think that but all know full well you're just looking to antagonize and get reactions in an attempt to humiliate young women.

The sad thing is these ‘adults’ are not doing anything to help or guide the girls. They should be giving them tips and advice to help them grow and survive as a model. Not treat them like crap so they don’t want to do it anymore

That “are you listening to me?” From Kelly is how a parent talks to a child when they’ve misbehaved and aren’t listening. When used on a grown woman, it’s a manipulation tactic to infatalise them and demean them. The bending over to talk to Louise, the stern way of asking and the choice of wording speaks volumes and shows the viewer how the judges clearly believe that they’re allowed to talk down to the models and not treat them as professional adults (as you would in that setting), but as kids.

You *KNOW* that if she hadn't been running and was just walking around they would have said something like, "We can tell your heart isn't really in it. Why are you here? We don't know the *real* you." I'm glad I never watched this show.

Watching all of these top model episodes in a different light than when I was a teenager has really been eye opening in just how much they expected these girls to completely surrender all individuality or decision-making to anyone who "out ranks" them. I remember seeing a supermodel documentary when I was 4 and Linda Evangelista was talking about how you have to get a haircut and color when your manager says to even if you don't like it. Modeling **must** change.

The common theme on this show, and in the industry quite frankly, is that models are almost subhuman. You can disrespect them, degrade them, talk down to them, and basically just treat them like disposable trash. It's gotten slightly better over the years, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done. A lot of people on set with power trips, and typically you have models who want nothing more than to please and get great shots, so this plays into feeding egos. There are still male photographers high up in the industry telling models during shoots "eye-f**k the camera. Make my d**k hard. You're not making my d**k hard." Like, what the hell?! How is this kind of degrading treatment still accepted? A LOT of power trips and egos in this business!

I think the production team told Kelly to pick on Louise, because they predict she was going to defend herself, rather than pick Annalise (they knew she will handle more calmy). The girls say the do personality test at the beggining and produccion team know who to attack.

There was a part I think you missed where they critiqued Louise’s photo and kelly basically said she loved it, etc. Right, only after she left she says that. Also in youtube kelly uploaded a video roasting her... totally immature.

They lie, a model is very important and putting a publicist over a model is wrong. A publicist need the model, yes both need each other but a publicist should not even be on set and behave like that. Why was she even talking to model about how to behave on the set? Why?. Its not her job and she should not even have been talking. I would have kicked the publicists out for even behaving like that to one my models/actor. Good for Louise to have stand up for herself.

I used to dream about becoming a model, but after watching Americas Next Top Model I got the impression that it was an extremely abusive industry. And I didn't want to not be able to say no to things if I didn't want to do them. So I never even gave modeling a shot. Thank you so much for making these videos about ANTM. I'm really glad to find out that the modeling industry isn't how I thought.

Good for Louise for standing up for herself and not letting herself feel victimized by Kelly Cutrone. She was brought on to be “the nasty judge.” So she turned up the nasty and then thought the girls should like worship them and she got defensive when she thinks someone else is not letting themselves be attacked by her. She has healthy self esteem and boundaries. Good for her!

I really don't know what storyline they where trying to pull, how where we supposed to be on Kelly's side when she was being incredibly annoying about a girl jogging around the set?

I’ve had a teacher like Kelly who never had favorite students, but had very obvious least favorites. She would micromanage and nitpick everything about these students (who honestly weren’t even bad kids), and they would end up snapping or screaming at her, and she’d smugly send them to the office. It made me uncomfortable as a kid, but I didnt have the words to pinpoint why it made me uncomfortable. Looking back at it as an adult, it disgusts me. People can totally tell when they’re being singled out, and it sucks when it’s happening in front of other people who feel like they aren’t supposed to defend you because the aggressor is an authoritative figure. I don’t blame Louise for snapping.

I'm really proud of the people that currently work in the modeling industry and don't allow this behavior.
