So true. The current one doesn't really sound "American" to me. This song does sound more American. It's widely acknowledged and accepted that America has vast wilderness, freedom, etc. The one we have now doesn't really do that.

Our national anthem contains the story of how improbable the existence of our nation is. A testimony of how choice a land it is. I hope we can keep it.
