Lake George is beautiful, as is the surrounding area. Been there many times. It was one of the places we did on our summer rv trip in 2022. Lake Placid is awesome as well.
I am looking forward to visiting the northeast. This looks like a great area to add to my list. I really like the radio idea and will definitely order one. Have safe travels and Keep having fun. Looking forward to seeing you all in Georgia.
Thats a really beautiful area guys. Tulsa Oklahoma has a place in it with the same circle where people outside the circle can't here the inside. Hope to see you guys soon!
ok, so channel 19 on the handheld will not crossover to allow you to talk with who just has a CB on channel 19, right? or do these Beofangs have the CB frequency too BESIDES the higher frequency for a licensed HA operator? My Beofangs are about 9 years old - well before they had US customer partner...so if your do operate on the citizen band and the ham band , it would be good for me to get an upgrade...
Thanks for asking! We had to seek the answer on this one. Hope this helps: These radios are GMRS so they are neither CB or Ham. Most Ham radios can listen to GMRS but can’t legally transmit on GMRS. CB is completely different and can’t talk or listen to GMRS frequencies.
@@1StrangeAdventure ok, so your beaufang are like mine.. and I did have my amurature radio license but it expired this year... you have a good idea w ch19.. too bad these units can't have cb channels too
Cobra makes a a handheld cb that doesn’t take anymore space than that and you can usually get at a truck stop and with that you can get updates on traffic and other stuff from truck drivers
