Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan on American Bandstand singing "Tennessee Bird Walk" & "Humphrey The Camel" right before the release of their Wayside album: 'Birds Of A Feather'
On this day in 1970 {May 23rd} Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan performed this song on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand... Four months earlier on January 28th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100; eventually it peaked at #23 and spent 13 weeks in the Top 100... It reached #1 on both Billboard's Country 100 chart and the Canadian Country chart...The day they appeared on Bandstand was Ms. Morgan 25th birthday, she was born on May 23rd, 1945 in Buffalo, NY... R.I.P. Mr. Clark...
Yes and The Shadows Of The Leaves!!! They’re infinitely clever , diverse and talented!!! It was a relief to see CDs coming out on Jack & Misty ! Plus ordering straight from the site !!! Still going strong and together!!! Thanks!!!
We played this all the time going the lake in the 80's. We are visiting the kids 30 years later in 2016 and he played it again last night. Great memories!!!!
It's great seeing Jack and Misty in action on American Bandstand...You can tell that Dick Clark was impressed by them...If they were scared to death they hid it well...Because both Jack and Misty came across as calm...cool...pros. btw...Happy Birthday (5-23) to Misty Morgan!
I was 15 years old I’d look Eight or nine years old and hanging out at radio station WMIL in Milwaukee listening to Tennessee Bird walk that’s back in 1970
Wonderful video and what a great surprise to find this video. You deserve praise not only for the song, but especially for requesting to get a copy of this appearance because most if not all Bandstand recordings from 1970 were accidentally destroyed many years ago. How I wish other artists would have followed your lead. God bless you.
Quite a treat seeing Jack & Misty and hearing them sing on this old film clip..I still think "Sweet Memories" recorded by them cannot be beat.. They harmonize so beautifully together..Thanks for sharing...Icepick in Georgia
The Tennessee Bird Walk: I know they are mouthing lyrics to a recording but it would be interesting to see the actual playing of the guitar solo. It is a highlight of this recording.
