@darkxilver5342 some people just fall in love with the style of bully type breeds and the american bully can be a great companion dog and generally fairly healthy unless badly bred

A lot of bullys are actually lazy and not all are that energetic. Pittbulls are a lot more energetic vs Bullys

Great for first time owners?? I don’t know about that. Bully breeds are great but a lot of people are not prepared for their strength and the extra training they can sometimes require (especially with the higher tendency for reactivity towards other dogs)

The structure on a lot of these dogs is revolting. I'd be interested in statistics over the long haul on congenital, orthopedic, cardio vascular and cardiopulmonary issues. Plus immune system and longevity. The statement you gave on health was a generic one that people tend to give for any breed, no matter its reality.

Revolting? That’s pretty cruel. I just adopted from a rescue a dog who turned out to be 100% American Bully. She doesn’t look like any of these dogs. She was just a down on her luck dog who needed her life to be saved due to her previous humans surrendering her. Same as these dogs. They can’t help how they were bred to look by humans.

Thank you for another informative video! What a beautiful and loving breed! Question: Are the American Bully's ears cropped? If so, what is its natural ear shape, and is it necessary to crop to meet standard, as with Dobermans? Just curious, as my SIL owns Dobermans and I know a little about it from her. (I own Great Pyrs and a Malinois.)

They have flopped or rosebud ears, naturally, and can now be shown in the show ring just as Dobermans now. Every single, wild mammal has erect ears, so either they can hear prey or hear predators better and prevent ear infections. From a mouse to a grizzly bear, the ears are erect not only so they can hear better, but to prevent against ear infections as well. when humans, domesticated dogs and started inbreeding for different traits, that’s when the Ears started flopping.

We have a "pocket" bully if you want to call her that 😂 she's actually half bully half english bulldog. But a total love bug. We have 5 pups in our house. Bella the bully actually takes down our siberian husky lol. They are the best of friends. We also have a frechie and 2 chuhauas too. But bella's attitude is the best.
