Welcome to the 1st video in our new series where EVERY FIRDAY we are going to be eating food and trying new things from Countries all around the World! Today we try, for the first time ever, Nigerian food!!! We had the pleasure of eating some foods that you guys requested including Jollof Rice, Okra Soup, Fufu, and Pepper Soup! I met my lifelong friends out in the Midwest and they are husband and wife: husband is Nigerian and wife is Liberian. They introduced me to both sides of the spectrum of food and I'm crying cause I miss their cooking. Food is the bomb and I love foo foo! You didn't have to roll it into a ball, though 😂😂😂. Hey guyz, please try Kenyan food, it's the bomb. Pilau rice (Kenyan/Swahili jollof rice) with beef or chicken stew, Ugali (corn meal) and sukuma wiki(collard greens) with fried fish or chicken. Have fun trying out these.

I'm Nigerian 🇳🇬!!! It's so interesting to see you guys eat traditional dishes. One reason why you couldn't really taste the pepper soup when you ate it with the fufu is because people don't eat pepper soup with fufu 😂. Pepper soup is meant to be eaten alone, sometimes as an appetizer. It's a light, watery soup. Also, I have not heard of pepper soup ever being prepared with ginger 🤷🏾‍♀️. One quality of okra soup is that it "draws", which is how we describe the texture. It's a draw soup. The texture might be foreign to you guys, but I'm glad you tried it. It's one of my favorites. For the future, I would love to see you guys try chin chin, buns, moi-moi, and Nigerian salad!
