My father just used his AmEx Airpoints Platinum card to apply for the same card for me I also have an ASB Visa lite and should have my new AmEx in a few weeks

Hello, what if your partner is also a supplementary card holder will she still be covered for travel insurance? Amex states there’s no travel insurance cover for supplementary card holders. 🤔

It depends on the card, but AMEX is firm in their policies so if that's what it says, then that will be the policy.

Hi Chris! I got the AMEX Airpoints Platinum card, thanks to your helpful NZ-focused videos. Noticed I can earn extra Airpoints with purchases from certain companies like Tower Insurance. Tower offers 1 Airpoint per $100 spent. If I use my AMEX card for this, can I combine the 1 Airpoint per $59 spent on AMEX with the 1 Airpoint per $100 from Tower, or does one override the other? Example - Insurance for the year = $2,000. AMEX purchase = $2,000/59 = 33 AP + Tower reward = $2,000/100 = 20 AP, therefore total of 53 AP? Please tell me i am correct!!

You can double dip - pay Tower with AMEX and collect Airpoints Dollars - just register your Airpoints account with Tower via www.tower.co.nz/register/ first

Hey Chris, i have another question. I have the card in this video 'American Express Airpoints Platinum Card', but i've recently came across the 'American Express Airpoints Platinum Reserve Card'. However, i can't seem to find the difference between the two... would you be able to explain?
