Proud you did it ! I myself can’t eat everything in the balut only the yellow & the juice are tasty. Because of this I am now your subscriber . Hahaha! Emy from Fl.
The reason why Balut is sold at night is because you need to eat in the dark so you cannot see it before you chew. It tastes good that way and will surely make me gag too if I keep looking at it while eating😊 You are all brave Backman family, kodus! Go for 100K!!
You guy are creating memories and thank you for including the 🇵🇭... Food, culture and everything in between... Can't wait to see what's the 20k subs challenge gonna be .. 😁✌️
I just wanted to say how you’re raising your kids is so admirable. I could tell esp with your older boys that they are well travelled and respectful with all types of people and culture, everything! It is just so great to see it. That is the best legacy you could leave them with once they’re grown. God bless and stay safe always. Hope we see a lot more of your travels in the Philippines (and all your adventures all over the world). From Filipina mom and daughter currently in Seattle. P.S. 50% of Filipinos don’t eat balot 🤫🤭

I can’t help but be giggly all throughout the tasting/eating part!😂 I can finish 3-4 Baluts in one sitting… it’s an acquired taste though… Just recently migrated here in the US and this makes me miss balut even more….new subscriber here♥️. p.s: An ice cold Coke is the best compliment for balut. Don’t forget to wash your hands right after.
You guys are amazing! I'm glad that I bumped into your channel and now i'm a fan of yours. ❤ Full disclosure, I'm a Filipina but I only eat the yolk part and drink the soup. But the duck embryooo?? Nooooo way! Haha 🫣😂 I'M SO PROUD OF YOU GUYS! Thankyou for visiting our country 🇵🇭🏝️
Eating balut is a rite of passage. Not every Pinoys love it but we have to eat it to be a true-blue Filipino. After you bravely ate it I subscribed ! Now it's time for 50K!
Lol, u know thats not true that eating it means you’re a true blue Filipino, lol. I think thats purely a made up statement and not an official one. I know a lot of my friends and classmates who doesnt even eat it nor try it. We’re just even in middle class and not “maarte”.
You guys are pretty amazing. Fun fact: not all Filipinos eat that. So your feelings/reactions are valid😅. The thought of you guys trying eat amidst of how it tastes, that is really appreciated. That is one my favorites though. Will buy one later ❤
I appreciate how polite your children are. It confirms how nicely you raised them. I see that your family is religious. It's indeed undeniable because they perceive things as a magnificent gift by treating God as the core of their family's foundation. Your older boys displayed some adorable reactions, and I kind of admire them. They are attractive as well; in fact, your family is lovely.
Hey guys, I ain't stop laughing for each reaction of this family. But I'm so happy that you've tried it and so proud of you. Thank you so much. Wish all you the best.
Hello ADMIN ! Thanks for sharing this fun video about your “Balut” challenge . You all are troopers , specifically the mom, I salute you😅 ! I’m from the The Philippines 🇵🇭 and live in North Carolina. I never tried balut in my life 😂. Hope you shows us more fantastic experiences while you guys are in The Philippines 🇵🇭.. You just earned a new subscriber 🎉🎉🎉❤..
Benny is so handsome. He should maintain his hairstyle like that. I love balot but I don't eat the black chick & the the hard white part. I only eat the yellow part.
hahaha.....so cool! you guys are awesome! I'm a filipino and when I eat balut, I don't look at it. I shove the whole thing in my mouth with lots of spicy vinegar. You have a beautiful family!
Your youngest is adorable. Eating balot is just a food to her ... she does not even flinch nor hesitate despite the embryo inside the egg. I was expecting her to somehow show a bit of hesitation. Good job eating this delicacy. As a first time eater, the technique is take it all in one gulp and chew it inside your mouth. Don't bite into it, take it all in one swallow and do the chewing after.
Damn this fam so funny to watching good vibes and lovely fam yo to all my fellow Filipinos let's support this fam let's subscriber and like and don't skip the adds much love here from the Manila Philippines ❤ 🇵🇭
I am so happy for the Backman to have tried the world-famous BALUT! I admire all your guts! I am a FILIPINO but I don't eat BALUT! That's funny isn't it? Good luck to a more adventurous places to see in the Philippines!!
Wow, family that travel together stays together. You are awesome and amazing family, you pass the challenge of eating that, not everyone even Pilipinos like to eat that, but you guys accept and pass the challenge, that balut is iconic to us Pilipino's, thats our national exotic food. Thank you for promoting our culture and traditions, our foods, and our nature, our people, hope you will continue to love our country. Hahaha, I love you guys. I was laughing so hard at those facial reactions. You all are so brave to try the balut. You all deserve the love of all Filipinos❤❤❤❤❤.
Hello! Backman family! Good afternoon from California ❤ Hope you guys are enjoying our country… I am having my dialysis while watching your family eating balut. I was laughing on your reactions while eating. Why?… because, I can never do the same. I can eat the only red part, that’s it…hahaha! Good luck to your family, keep safe and GOD BLESS…❤
Its okay if the kids dont like it...because not all Filipinos like to eat it too..its more tasty if you put some vinegar and salt and its very nutritious...proud of your family and to the boys also..enjoy your stay in my home country..the Philippine people will welcome you and will help you wherever you are..subscriber here..❣

the waiting is over..Wow this is so epic, so funny.. first, congratulations to all of you for eating "balut" and congratulations for having a morethan 10k subscribers and still counting.. not many tourist try to eat balut. but as you promised and you did it. but next time you eat balut, you don't have to eat the hard one (egg white) or the albumen. what a happy and God fearing family.. thanks for embracing our pilipino culture. keep safe and enjoy, Philippines is one of the most safest country to travel.
The key is don’t look at it. Just put a little vinegar & salt and eat it. I don’t eat the tough white part inside. Balut is a cheap source of protein, beta carotene & vit c. You wonder why 100M Filipinos can eat it? Because it’s actually good and delicious. Congrats 10k 🎉
Beautiful Backman Family you did it 10k and ate balut ❤️ Way to go! The intro made me smile thanking the Filipinos for 10k. This would’ve been enough. I didn’t know about the challenge to eat balut 😂 If you are still in the 🇵🇭? I do hope you stay longer to explore the country. You’re family is so lovable. Thanks for loving the 🇵🇭 and the Filipinos 🙏
Balut is very nutritious, they sale it at night time to give the overtime workers a strength to carry on their hardest night jobs.. A good aphrodisiac as well
Ha ha ha You’re absolutely funny family but adorable 😍😍😍🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸. First time I actually saw the whole family took the challenge… We love what you’re doing and showing how you try to adapt our weird culture….Great💖🇵🇭🇺🇸😍
The gagging is so understandable, even Filipinos react that way eating balut for the first time, i mean who wouldn't? seeing that almost formed embryo duck, GOOD JOB GUYS! you did so well for this challenge hahaha
It's basically just like eating a more defined version of a hard boiled egg. But as it's your first time, completely understandable, yet you were all so brave and especially big kudos to mommy Backman for braving it out. You are all so beautiful and lovely. Hope you guys have more fun there in the Philippines. Much love from Australia.✌
The best way to eat balut is to eat the whole thing after sipping the soup and not looking at it especially the embryo when eating. Congrats you did it😍
I watched all of your 🇵🇭 daily videos, and this is my favorite. That was so much fun. I wouldn't eat Balut, unless I need to, either. But I like Penoy (a hard boiled duck egg, sold together with Balut). You have to try it. It has the flavors of Balut, but without those gross parts (it's like your ordinary hard boiled chicken eggs).
🇵🇭💖Watching your whole family eat the Balut is so so so funny. You need to acquire the taste for it and it really is full of protein. You can throw away the hard white part if it's too tough or chewy. Mind over matter.🤟👍Jojo is so cute!💖
Congrats for 10k subscriber. Mission accomplished. You are now a certified BALUT eater. Continue your journey and enjoy the beautiful nature of Philippines.
You guys are so fun to watch. We sincerely appreciate taking the challenge and congratulations to 10,000 Subscribers!!!! Question for the kids how is it like traveling around the world do they miss their friends and family. And do they enjoy home schooling?
"Balut" is a Filipino delicacy snack steamed young duck embryo depending on how old it is, 14, 16 but not over 21 weeks. It is not chicken eggs and they are said to be aphrodisiac making your legs strong all night! 😁 I am amazed at your kids having them and just to know how it taste like. Congrats!
