Pequod's is one of my favourite places in Chicago! The cheese that's layered on the side of the pan gets caramelized and is just so crunchy and amazing.
@@CharlieMoney777 Detroit style is good. I feel Pequods is a marriage somewhat of Chicago deep dish and Detroit style. Its not traditional deep dish and not Detroit style; but combines a lot of the qualities of both pies.
Yup they are the Real Deal not the Chain Spiel. Been there just two times but wish it was more. Superfresh, authentic, made with love. Look at the juice, the colors and textures. Perfectly cooked. They're in a class of their own.
Looks awesome! I visited Chicago once and had deep dish, not sure the restaurant but I loved it. I'm not nitpicking but I'd prefer a little more cheese than what these have...
The pizza with the spinach on the bottom , then cheese, sauce, mushrooms🍄onions,🧅peppers, looked like some kind of peppers🫑 on it. That’s the one I want please!
Its a shame I don't live anywhere near Chicago. I would try out that pizza if I did. Used to have a UNOs and some mom-and-pop deep dish pizza in town but they are no longer around.
I actually requested that this channel would do a video on Pequod's and Giordano's about a year ago when I seen the Lou Malnati's video. Imagine my delight at finding this video! Giordano's next! 💯
I really wanna try to eat second one, pizza which made by sinach(?) or arugula(?)... I don't know the name of topping exactly :) if I visit to chicago someday. Anyway i'm getting hungry because of this video.
I know who's from Chicago and who isn't. Pequods is the ultimate suburbanite college kid moves to city and tells everyone a cool spot that's different, pizza. Honestly, I was the same way. But it's just a huge gut bomb of bread. If you want deep dish(this is pan pizza); head to pizanos . Legit awesome. Better than malnatis, in fact it's owned by the other brother lol

After watching this, as a New Yorker, I think mid-westerners misinterpreted NY slang when we said “pizza pie” . Let me clear it up. We didn’t actually mean pizza “pie”. You guys took it way too literally. But I guess from that “lost in translation “ came a Chicago icon and 2nd most beloved pizza outside of the northeast, Phillly, NY, New Haven thin crust excellence. I will say this, Chicago is Italian sausage country. The northeast is pepperoni country for sure. We like sausage, you love sausage!!!
Large deep dish is like $25. Note one large will serve 3 extremely hungry people with two slices apiece, some will only be able to hand a single slice so it can serve up to six people.
