as a history buss/doll collector... me too T.T i feel for him also... i grew up on these dolls he had an american girl OC basically. there was no 1920's doll :P and the closet would be 1930"s depression era kit. he had created an entire back story for her though :P

he is actually in lots of skits if anyone is underrated i think its kyle mooney and alex moffat.

Aminah Aziz, I don’t know, seems like Kyle can only play Kyle. (Like Leslie could only be herself.) To me Cecily and Mikey seem like they’re probably the most versatile and talented. Followed by Kate and Heidi and Alex, not necessarily but probably in that order, and Kyle and Pete and Bowen, in that order, at the bottom of the list with precious little real talent, and everyone else in between somewhere. “I HAVE SPOKEN!” Just kidding, only my opinions of course.

She was born in New York and lived there until she was a little child, she has spent a lot of time in the US in the last few years and she is a pretty great actress so it’s not really a surprise that she can do a good accent.

The whole point of this sketch is for the audience to feel the discomfort of the guy since he is unable to freely admit he likes dolls. Also, you see the characters caring more about his fascination with dolls instead with the issue at hand (the explosion). SNL is condemning double standards since well...who cares if you like dolls or not? It's a great skit really. But once again, this is not everyone's type of humor so to each their own.

Yeah, the joke is that everyone is more curious about him loving dolls than a fuckin' explosion.

eh his obsession is also the joke. hair salon out he freaks. he was yelling at customer service. if she(the doll) is on tv she should have a hat. he was on a date with his doll.

could someone explain this? how was it a 'really nice touch' and how did over 250 people agree? all it looked like was that Mikey briefly thought it was his cue, then realized it wasn't.

@@michelerich1590 Maybe it was a cue card accident but it was done too carefully with his hands and body. Humor is misdirection. We think one thing will happen and another does. In this case he is right next to the mic and super anxious to defend himself and she's pretty mellow and further away. I didn't notice it until the comment so I upvoted.

mike jones I'm not sure what you are referring to as "it" in my comment. The only two nouns that I spoke of were "I" and "comment". I would assume that if you were referring to "I" you would say "you". Therefore, this leaves the possibility that you were referring to "comment". However, it is rare to see a person talk about a direct object in that sense.
